But...when I finally made my decision, you'll never guess what happened...the materials I wanted were out of stock almost everywhere due to a roofing materials shortage! Go figure. After an extensive search & checking with several roofing supply companies, a number of contractors recommended JB Wholesale Roofing & Building Supplies. They offer a large selection of designer & luxury shingles, clay tile, & regular shingles. Although JB has several locations, I found that the Santa Fe Springs location was the most helpful. Not only did they give me a few complimentary samples to take home, but they were patient with all my questions, & shared their expertise regarding which colours & styles may look good on my home considering the proposed new paint colour & pitch of the roof. When my materials finally came in, JB arrived at the site on time & had a large crew of guys who were very professional. Due to the large quantity & heavier weight of the materials for my particular roof, they even loaded the roofing materials onto the roof with a large crane! Very cool! They not only worked together seamlessly & professionally like a well-oiled machine, but they respected my neighbours, took steps to protect my property, & caused no damage (to my knowledge). They sell flowers by the bunch at very reasonable prices, and I've come here several times to pick out flowers for gala centerpieces. The same lady has helped me on all three of my visits, and she is very knowledgeable. I can show her an inspiration photo, and she immediately knows exactly what flowers I'm looking for. She'll even walk me through how many bunches I'll need and what to order to create the arrangement I have in mind. I really appreciate that she takes the time to explain everything and makes the whole process so easy, including tips on how to keep the flowers fresh for longer. Also, even if the flowers aren't physically at the shop, they'll do their best to bring them in for you. For example, I was recently looking for peonies, and other florists were quoting me around $28 per stem--which adds up VERY quickly! Here, they were able to quote me a much more reasonable price and help me figure out exactly what I needed. They also have ribbons, vases, and other essentials that make it convenient when you're putting together your own arrangements. However, once we got back and started working on arrangements, I was honestly disappointed. About a quarter of the white hydrangeas had noticeable browning and signs of rot. I had no choice but to cut around the damaged areas, which significantly reduced what I could use especially frustrating considering the cost. For reference, 50 hydrangeas (25 white, 25 blue) came out to $185, so I expected better quality control. Overall, the convenience and customer service were there, but the flower quality at least in my experience did not match the price. Oh and the hydrangeas started to wilt by the second day. *This was a last minute purchase as my online delivery order had a unforeseen delivery delay.
