If it wasn't for "Q", I wouldn't have a clue! A couple of months ago I found the perfect shade of gloss for my lips. Had no idea that it was going to be PERFECT or I would have grabbed a few tubes. It blends nicely with my complexion and I receive a lot of compliments. Unfortunately, that beautiful shade is sold out everywhere! I do mean everywhere! I had family members and friends check the stores in their cities as well. NO LUCK. Yes, I even tried Amazon, sold out. I decided to visit the MAC store in the mall. Just hoping for a similar shade until I receive the updated email that my favorite is back in stock. Trust me, I am stalking three online stores. Lol. Upon entering, I was greeted by the beautiful, energetic Qierra or Q for short. She asked if she could help. I explained my situation and even had the empty tube to show the color. Immediately, she began to grab a few things and blend the colors on her hand. OMG! How creative! She explained that she is from New York and that she takes MAC very seriously. We actually came up with a blend perfect enough to mimic my favorite shade. AND it was all on sale. All time favorite shade is Bronze Venus. What was blended to achieve a very similar shade was oyster girl lip gloss and plum berry lipstick. Thank you "Q" for explaining that because MAC means makeup, art and cosmetics that employees are required to be creative it's a great way to make their customers happy. read more

3.5 stars There is actually a Mac counter in Macy's and then this stand alone inside the mall itself I got confused then actually know there were two When I arrive I don't remember if I was greeted right away I will going to say no but I was greeted eventually and asked if I needed some help I don't remember the young lady's name right off the top of my head that did my makeup she's really nice and helpful she made sure to ask me what I like which is never a lot of makeup more work daytime look than an evening look I'm not a big makeup person and my features I don't like to put out on display and like a more of a laid-back relaxed natural look she took all my preferences in consideration and I like what she came up with I definitely wanted my eyebrows to stand out but everything else I need to fall back nothing too over-the-top and one of the classic lipsticks I had years ago I was a little sad that they discontinue but that reasonable considering I bought that lipstick over 20 years ago so no harm no foul she enrolled me and I've already received emails for specials in for online purchases coupons which I will give it a try the lipsticks were overwhelming I didn't know if I wanted a match or a gloss or semi or but I like that they try to help you to something that you're comfortable with it and don't try to encourage you to do something wild baby steps people baby steps read more

So I would give zero stars if I could....not because of the M.A.C. product. Their product is great. Unfortunately you can't buy any here during lunch because they close THE ENTIRE STORE! At 2:30 the entire store is closed! Everybody is entitled to a lunch, of course! But the store should be staffed so that this isn't an issue. I purchased a product ahead and got an email that it was ready and I should come get it. Now I've wasted time and gas and I have to come back another day, wasting more time and gas. on 1-12-24 I had an appointment, when I arrived to the store I was told that they were closing due to weather.. was very upset because I braved the weather to be there on time! Sandy told me they could give me a 15 min CONSULT! huh??? Hailey stepped up and said that she would stay and do my service. I was SOOOO appreciative because I had a very important event and I looked terrible. Sandy wasted no time running out of there. Hailey was very patient and informative. She took time to ask questions and offer suggestions. I purchased just about everything she used because I appreciated her for honoring my appointment despite the order to close and go home. Hailey will be my go to person EVERY time I walk in THAT store. I even went back last week to personally thank her again and purchased more products. So I went to MAC in Macy's and the coworker from MAC was talking with another customer about a LUSH product(from another store) and the MAC worker acknowledged me and said hello but then continued to have a full on conversation with the customer about the LUSH product like I wasn't standing there ready to buy something. So then she finally came over and took care of me and said," your'e so patient." I believe she should've took care of me and then went back to talking to the customer about the LUSH product. She had no sense of consideration for me and my time and I think that's extremely rude, even if I am "patient" read more

So I usually only shop at Sephora, and once I found out MAC sold and applied eyelashes I decided to try them out for my birthday. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Betsy. She helped me pick out some lashes, and applied them. She also did an amazing job on my eyeliner which I can never do. She also helped me pick out some foundation. And let's just say MAC is my new favorite place to get all makeup essentials. Thanks to Betsys being awesome and AMAZING at her job I will continue to shop there. read more

Where to begin!? I absolutely LOVE coming into the MAC store in Orland Park, IL! What a wonderful group of people working their! I want to personally comment on AND compliment Ashley S. who I actually met when she came into my store shopping one day! Her attitude and personality are 100% on point every day that I see her! Began telling a sales rep what I was wanting, she said she would be right back and began helping other customers, left me standing there.
