Confused my apt with the Macy's counter but was still able to be seen. Scheduled two 30 minute and one 45 minute makeup session for my daughter's 21st birthday visit to Nashville. The ladies here were very nice. They did great work, were engaging, professional, and a delight to work with. We range in age and makeup experience, one newbie, but all three loved the experience. read more

So disappointed in this store. I went in person to make an appt for a glam makeover for a very important date. I was told that they could not take appts until it got closer to the date. Well.... just called 10 days before the event and it was booked. I bought 200 dollars worth of merchandise while I was in the store. I don't think that was fair. At the very minimum please give me a call when you start taking appointments for that date. This is just bad business. read more

This is my first time in a mac store/stand alone area and it did not disappoint. The makeup artist Malynta, helped me out with everything i needed from foundation to what eyeliner would make my eyes pop more. This has made my first time there unforgettable. excellent customer service on top of being the only one on the floor for M.A.C while helping 5 customers that were looking for product. She is a very special human being! She most definitely deserves a raise for her commitment to this job and beautiful personality! and if she see this. Malynta, Keep up the great work!! thank you for your help! read more

I came to this Mac store because I needed more concealer. I am definitely not a makeup person. I had a wonderful young lady helping me out, matching me for the right mix of concealer and color corrector. I remember using a specific one and she was matching me to different ones, so she called over Talaria (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) to help her out. Talaria was AMAZING. She explained my undertone to both the young lady and I. she gave her recommendations of which products I should be using. Her recommendations aligned to the items I had previously been using. She also stopped to take the time out to explain how and where I should be putting the product. She asked me if I wanted a full demonstration of how to do my face. The level of service I received with Talaria was outstanding. She went far above and beyond anything that I expected. She is a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate her taking the time to not only speak to me but to answer all my questions. I definitely took her up on some of her other recommendations. I wish that I could have taken her back to Fl with me so that I could visit her anytime. As a woman of color, being matched with something that doesn't align with my skin tone is always a concern for me. If you are ever truly in need and in the area, I would recommend stopping by and visiting Talaria. She will truly give you her undivided attention regardless of how little or how much you're spending. read more

I am able to take my time trying products to get the correct colors without being hurried or hovered over. Excellent customer service and support and suggestions when I am not sure. It's my go to MAC unless I am buying my replacement products in a Duty Free shop on an international trip. read more

This review is not on MAC makeup- I absolutely love the brand and think their makeup is fantastic. With that being said, this review is on the Green Hills MAC store. Having been to MAC stores in Chicago, LA, Scottsdale and other higher sales volume markets, I am extremely disappointed in the service and professionalism of employees at the Green Hills MAC store. I walked in to the store around 8:00 pm- an hour before the store closed, on a Saturday night. There were 4 employees in the store- two were doing full makeup applications, one was giving a foundation consult, and the other was chatting with her friends on the side of the register area (they had already paid for their purchase and werent looking at any more items, so they clearly didn't need more help). It took a full 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged by any of the employees. This store is TINY, so for it to take 10 minutes before anyone said "Hello!" or "We will be with you shortly" while I was examining foundation shades clearly needing assistance is absolutely terrible customer service. No one even asked me what I was looking for, if I needed a shade match, etc. (I was looking for a new foundation and concealer) After 7 more minutes of waiting (seriously...watching an employee chat with her friends while I am in need of assistance is absolutely enraging). Even the guy doing the foundation consult- the customer was carrying on and on and making so much smalltalk, he should have wrapped up the sale and moved on to the next customer! If I was being helped and another customer was waiting 10+ minutes for help, I would not be mad whatsoever if the employee attempted to help them while helping me, or attempted to speed the checkout process up after I clearly was finished with what I needed in the store. I walked out of the store emptyhanded after 18 minutes of absolute ignorance by the employees at the MAC store. I'd rather go to Sephora or the MAC counter in Macy's than ever go into this store again. Absolute snobs for employees with no sense of customer service skills whatsoever. read more

I love Mac and have been using the brand for years. Sadly, I had a terrible experience with a guy at the Mac counter in Nordstrom's. I was having a quiet Sunday and had some money to spend on makeup. I went to Nordstrom's, and while everyone at the cosmetic counters were very nice, it started getting very weary to engage every time I stopped at a counter to look at something. The aggressive sales people were on me too much, asking me to look at things and try things and constantly engage. I really just wanted to look around and keep to myself and I have that right! Nordstrom's, you took away my rights to disengage!! When I finally got to the Mac counter, and yet another salesperson led me to look at holiday kits I didn't ask for nor want, I shared with him how exhausting it was to be there and having to engage constantly. His response: "We'll get fired if we don't do it" and "Go to Macy's if you want people to ignore you." My response, "I'm sure there's a happy medium." He told me he disagreed with me and insisted that he didn't have to agree with me. Which is true, I suppose but really Mac counter dude?!? I walked away with my $125 bag of already purchased makeup, and couldn't get out of the store fast enough. Bad energy! He took my shopping buzz away and left a terrible feeling in my stomach. I shan't be returning for some time. Yuck!! read more

MAC makeup is amazing, most of us already know this, but coming here is always a fun experience. They will touch up your makeup for you, and even try some new colors- so of course you will want to buy them! But it's all okay because it's just so much fun. As far as their products are concerned- I highly recommend the Studio Fix makeup (stays put ALL DAY with great coverage), the Pigments eye shadow (such bright colors to choose from and they go on with just your finger!)- just to name a couple. read more

I was traveling and stopped into this store specifically because I needed to return colors I purchased at another that just weren't working. After reading the reviews of this store on Yelp, I wasn't expecting much. But Ron Christopher changed all that. First, he greeted me immediately. I teach communication and customer service seminars. What Ron modeled perfectly is that you can be busy and still give eye contact and greet the customer coming in the door. He was able to begin helping me immediately while working with other customers. I get this. Staff at busy stores have to multi task. He did it beautifully. He not only helped me replace the colors I bought for better ones, he helped me with my original plan to update my colors now that I've let my natural gray come through. The best part was that he helped me with application. I'm always willing to learn something new. Ron let me watch what he did on one side, then let me repeat it on the other side. Ron's knowledge, patience, and warm personality made for a great shopping trip. I'm really pleased with my purchases and will return anytime I'm in Nashville. read more

Excellent excellent service! Talarria Morris gave the best customer service that I have ever received! She was very professional and her make up skills are phenomenal!!! I would recommend this store to everyone that needs makeup! Talarria is the best makeup artist!!! Keep up the good work!!! When I'm back in Nashville I will go to the mall to have her help me! Thanks Talarria!!! read more

I visited MAC yesterday and I was very disappointed in my experience. The representative I worked with acted like she was annoyed when I asked her to help me find a particular product. She offered me a palette option trying to tell me it would be less expensive as well and then did the math and realized it cost more than what I asked her for and when I declined to purchase the palette she rolled her eyes as she put it away. When I checked out she said nothing but the total and I then asked "How has your day been?" trying to make small talk and she just said "Oh, fine. Here's your receipt." and walked away. I would rather shop online than go into this store again - very disappointing experience! read more

I made an appointment for two people weeks in advance. Both workers were rude and zero customer service when we came in. Like they were inconvenienced by our presence. Then told us they could only do one. We are from out of town and we're on a schedule. One went in the back and called her manager, then came back out and said hey could still just do one but we can go somewhere else to get our makeup done. Very unprofessional. Very disappointed. We were very much looking forward to a good experience but got trash in a very upscale mall. We went to the other place they mentioned, and that Mac said they only do a single feature, so I don't know if they really even contacted them. read more

It's better to know exactly what u need before going in here. Sometimes it feels like some of the artist are " to busy" or "irritated" with all the questions that you may ask. I guess it depends on who is working, although they do come across as Snobby at times. I personally don't care because I love the product and I will continue to buy it. I guess it's the location ie Greenhills.. whatever! my money spend just like everyone elses. Vanderbilt employees stay at Greenhills mall on lunch and break so you would think they would appreciate the business.. We thrive on great customer service so when I experience poor customer service it saddens me. read more

When you need makeup I am sure most of the ladies out there can relate to feeling insecure and overwhelmed and nervous about approaching a make-up counter for help. Often the people there just want to sell you product with no regard to if it is the right product for you. I am a cosmetic whore----I have tried pretty much everything out there. I will say that Mac gives you excellent coverage and they have a huge variety of formulas and products that you should find something. I do not use any skin care from here in fact I don't even know if they offer it. I am just talking coverage, foundation, application and color. The people at this store are very helpful and listen to your needs. My daughter and I both went in had some time with one of the employees and both walked out with a few items in the bag that made us feel 100% better about ourselves when we walked out. I have not regretted one item I bought there that day which is more than I can say about my past experiences with other makeup retailers...I also thought that their products were reasonable in price. read more

The manager did a great job on my lashes. She was a little stuck up but whatever. I didn't care as long as she gave me a great cat eye and cute natural lashes. But I love the stores better than the counters because they offer so much more than the stores. This location had a great selection of lashes, and they waited on me pretty quickly considering the store was packed. Most people know what they want when they go in anyhow. read more

Ellie gave excellent customer service despite the fact that she was the only make up artist at the store during a rush of customers on Sunday, February 23, 2020. She was attentive to all and was able answer and juggle all the needs everyone during that time. Great job Ellie! read more

First of all, I love MAC products. In my hometown there are no MAC stores and so I look forward to coming to this mall and to this specialty store. I was so disappointed today when I walked in and looked around for 15 minutes and not one employee spoke to me. There were a few customers being waited on, which is understandable, but then new customers would come in and be greeted immediately. I waited for a few more minutes and nothing happened. After waiting long enough (about 20 minutes), I went and made my MAC purchases at Nordstrom. read more

I called ahead for an interrupted make up session and the girl on the phone said that would not be a problem. I drove 40 min only to be told that they didn't have enough staff. Literally one person In the store and no one in the make up chairs and 2 people working and one was her on her phone when I walked in. Awesome waste of time. read more

This place has the best make up you can find. Especially for the price. I have always had trouble finding a make up that holds up to everything in my life. This one does the trick. The people in the store are really helpful. They will match up all of your colors for you and if you set up an appointment they will even give you a full make over. All they ask is that you buy some of their products. I highly recommend you give this company a chance. read more

Y'all. I never leave yelp reviews and generally can't stand the kind of person who does, but why is everyone who works here so salty?! I made an appointment to get my makeup done for an event and the girl who was scheduled to do the appointment was so rude that I literally just left before the appointment even started. read more

While some of the products I can't use (my skin is very sensitive and not much agrees with it) the products i DO use are great and always last me a LONG time. Not to mention the artists working there never fail me and are great at what they do. Never have had a bad experience. read more

Mac is by far the best make up. This location is always friendly and helpful.

One of my better experiences at a Mac store. The associate Christina B. Was great and she worked with me to get all my shade requests. Mac is one of the first foundations that I have tried that doesn't wash out my face but I can still maintain a "natural" look with. It was nice to walk into a store and not be ignored because many times when I happen to be makeup shopping I dress down and am very casual and don't look like I live and work in NYC. I was here visiting family and it was nice to see that they had all my favorite foundation products in stock! read more

I stopped in at the Mac cosmetics store on Halloween to get some recommendations on highlighters. I was trying to explain. How I was wanting to put some highlighter and possibly some glitter in the same area of my face. I knew it wasn't going to go well. When I noticed her facial expression. She appeared to be so frustrated and irritated with me. She then asked in a higher pinched tone. What exactly are you wanting? I tried to explain I wanted to try a highlighter with the glitter that I've seen on her and other workers in the store. She went on to say no we don't have anything like that. If so we probably brought that in. It's not sold here. Then she said anyway today it would be $60.00 because it's Halloween. I said I can't try it before I buy it to see if I like it. I said you've tried makeup on me before prior to me purchasing. She said $60.00 and that came from corporate. I then walked over to the guy that was working. Because he had alot of glitter on around his eyes. I asked is it really $60.00 to try on. He said yeah that's how it is on Halloween. I was so disappointed that I couldn't get the help I needed. They could have easily helped me. The Associates name was Talarria. I left there went to another store got 5 star service. I love Greenhills mall but I want be returning to the Mac cosmetics store. I'm a local professional in the area we all share where we like to shop. We also share our experiences. I had to select a star for this review. Actually I wouldn't give the one star if you weren't required to. read more

I visited the MAC store earlier today and had awesome customer service. I am not a huge makeup person. I keep it simple and I don't spend a lot of cash on it. I was looking to make a change and invest in some staples I would use a lot but I didn't know where to start. The guy that assisted me ruled. His name was PJ (Palmer James, I think) and he was very friendly the entire time I was in the store. He was helping multiple people and apologized frequently for the wait which was never really more than a few minutes. It was so refreshing to have someone help me find some products that I have tried and now am obsessed with. I told him I was so happy I was going to brag about him on the internet. Best customer service experience I've had in a LONG time. read more
