Charging $200 for a trial is steep especially since she worked on the makeup for 45 minutes to an hour. I might have understood if the makeup ended up being amazing but I looked horrible. The correct shade wasn't used and my skin looked dry and aged. The original invoice sent to me quoted $100 for the trial. However, she charged me $200 after seeing my displeasure with the work and told me the $100 quote was actually for a hair consultation; a clear scam on their part. I've done 3 other consultations in New Orleans and no one else charged close to $200. This was by far the most unprofessional experience I've had. I've attached photos of our original agreement, as well as before and after photos of what the makeup looked like vs. what I looked like after wiping it off. I would not recommend Faces of Virtue to any bride looking for a positive and professional experience.

We initially booked at The Red Door Salon in White Plains but after my daughter's hair and makeup trial I was not thrilled and decided to look for someone else. I found Kelly through the internet and booked her after speaking to her on the phone. My daughter did not want to do another trial so we went ahead without seeing her work. We booked for the bride, mothers of the bride and groom, a bridesmaid, 2 junior bridesmaid and the flower girl. We all have different makeup needs and different types of hair. The work was going to be done in my hotel room. Kelly brought 2 assistants and all 3 of them were as nice as could be. The set up in a tight space, were willing to accommodate everyone's needs and visions and even took a "walk in" (an out of town guest.) Although another bridesmaid had gone to a local salon for her hair and makeup, Kelly's assistant added lashes and additional eye makeup for her (and didn't even charge her!) because she wasn't satisfied with the way she looked. The room was filled with people walking in and out and being generally noisy and nothing fazed them These 3 women worked from 9:30 AM until 4:30 PM without taking a break. They even refused to stop for lunch. Oh, I forgot to say, their work was terrific. Everyone was delighted with the way they looked and we received many compliments on how glamorous we were. Obviously, I would recommend them highly!
