The woman who picked up assured me that the wait wouldn't be too long and encouraged me to just walk in. When I got to the facility only fifteen minutes later, I was surprised to find a nearly-full waiting room. The wait turned out to be nearly two hours long, and I couldn't help but wondering if an appointment would've allowed me to show up for my assigned time slot rather than wasting time in a waiting room. That said, Dr. Patel is wonderful. He took his time to explain what might be going on in layman's terms, and I appreciated his thorough, unhurried demeanor. For others looking to visit (and those who are able to do so), I'd recommend calling ahead to make an appointment and/or checking in ahead of time. If you're not already a patient in the Wellstar system, I'd also suggest downloading the intake forms beforehand.

She disregarded a lot of the things I was telling her, only made eye contact when she was telling me to go to my PCP, (like why did you come here) Walking in UC, with clear symptoms of dehydration, left out with a prescription for nausea 20 mins before the pharmacy closed. So not only did I just waste my time, I have to go another night with, body spasms, rolling veins (which I attempted to show Veronica, and she did not even look), hyperventilating while puking, tears in my esophagus elevated heart rate. And again not DRINKING ANY WATER. For 3 days. I've been puking my stomach lining up for 3 days!!!! Im clearly dehydrated, you can see it in my lips they are sticking together from LACK OF ELECTROLYTES! One of my after care instructions is to stay hydrated. When I CANT KEEP ANY THING DOWN. Now excuse me if urgent care doesn't treat dehydration, but Veronica did not even acknowledge my concerns of dehydration. Very poor bedside manners, it was a horrible experience for me. On another note, ladies in the front office were super sweet and nice. Answered all my questions and did not make me feel stupid. One of the ladies and I had a great conversation. I usually don't leave review let alone negative ones. But when Im already dealing with a health issues it's very disappointing to get frustrated with the lack of service you receive when trying to take care of yourself. I definitely should have gotten treated for dehydration. Or referred to somewhere that could help me. Update: My symptoms remained the same and started puking darker colored substance. I checked in to ER, i was immediately set to the back to get hook up to IVs. Having to get a full panel of bloodwork. Waiting on results.

Nothing out of the normal for Walgreens, except that tucked in the back corner, next to the pharmacy is a one room QuickCare Facility ran by Piedmont Care. I was actually on a grocery store run one Saturday morning, but felt that I finally needed to get my sniffly nose looked at, so I swung in here and turns out, decently glad I did! As mentioned above, the QuickCare is located in the back corner, next to the Pharmacy and consists of a few waiting chairs, check in desk and one examination room. As soon as I walked up, I was quickly greeted by the Nurse Practitioner on staff, Helen. She was very welcoming, kind and genuine in her initial interaction. She had me sign in, which was a very simple computer based process, and shortly after, called me back. During the consultation, Helen continued her genuine and professional demeanor as we discussed what brought me in. You have to remember that this is a QuickCare, so maybe not expect the above and beyond, but what you can expect is a quality visit that will hopefully result in you feeling better. The other thing is of course the wait time, or lack thereof, with prescriptions. By the time I walked out of the room and walked the five feet to the pharmacy counter, they had already began filling my order. Overall, I was impressed and pleased with my visit. I certainly recommend this location if in need of a quick stop Doctor visit!

Now I do tend to get sick often as I have kids that are in daycare and they always come down with illness as well. But I don't ever remember at all ever losing my voice. A couple of days prior I had taken my sick daughter to urgent care and she was diagnosed with flu, so if anything I thought that is what I had. So I scheduled my appointment online for the first slot of the day and directly after arriving, I was greeted and seen by NP. I believe her name was Tiffany. She gave me a quick and through examination as well as a strep test based on my symptoms. Strep test came back positive. She advised me on how to take the medicine, sent prescription over to my pharmacy, advised when I should start to feel better, and gave me a work excuse. I was literally in and out within 20 minutes or so. Best experience ever! If I ever get sick again or need immediate care for my kids, this is where I will go. I didn't have to wait on the phone to schedule a doctors appointment to then arrive at the doctors office and wait a while to be seen. It took me two minutes to schedule an appointment online and it was the best decision..

I'm not over 40 either so it was a bit weird hearing that in the doctor's office. I got to hand it to Wellstar Health Systems at this location. They have a funny, down-to-earth nurse practitioner. He is a gruffy looking good old boy. It's weird he's a nurse. He looks like he should be hunting some 10 pointers or something. The doctor that saw me was pretty nice and fun too. She got really excited when she saw my infection. She wanted to take a pic of it with her iPhone. I've seen other doctors here, and they were all friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. Like other urgent care centers, you would need to wait a long time to be called in. I mean what is this? We don't have socialized healthcare, yet I still have to wait 1 hour to see the doctor? I might as well move to Soviet Canada. On top of that, I have to pay my $75 copay. Sheesh. Well, that's more of a critique of my insurance, not Wellstar. One trick is to come first thing in the morning. When I was the first patient in the door for the day, I was seen pretty fast. Other times, when I came in during the middle of the day, I had to wait a long time. Other than that, if I have something that needs to be taken care of urgently, this is my go to urgent care place.

I was also experienced stuffy ears for about a week before this, so I was hopeful that it was a simple sinus infection or allergies. But I figured the responsible thing to do would be to get it checked out. Exterior Clean, lots of parking space. Interior Well lit, clean - no complaints. Customer Service Brunette guy with septum piercing doesn't seem comfortable working with the public. Never once made eye contact with me during my interaction. Just looked at his screen or looked over his shoulder. Also, he kept touching his hair, stroking it, lifting it, moving it in some way. It was long, beautiful hair, but still. And while I don't have any aversions to facial piercings, I always thought there were some sort of safety and sanitation rules about folks in healthcare not being able to wear facial piercings, long nails or unbound hair (as in - you don't have to put on a hairnet or anything but it has to be pulled back and away from the face). Angel, the lady who did my intake was rude and hostile. Didn't speak to me even when greeted. Didn't ever tell me what she was doing. Sticks a thermometer in my face and just waits for me to open my mouth. Sticks two swabs in front of my face and expects me to tilt my head back for a nose swab or a throat swab. Unsure of what she wanted. She actually used both swabs in my nose but she barely inserted them inside my nostrils. It was bizarre. She was so awful she made me want to flee the place. 0 stars. My provider was great. Perfect bedside manner. Empathetic, efficient, friendly - took the time to explain various things. Other Love the ease of online scheduling and online check-in. For some reason the 2909 Austell Rd Neighborhood Walmart still won't show up in their preferred pharmacy drop down options, but no stars deducted for that. Lol. Overall I still love this place but the support staff definitely needs some fine tuning.

I'm taking the time to write this review because I initially gave the first incident some grace,…read morebut after my recent experience I feel compelled to share my concerns. The security guard at this location a light-skinned Black male has consistently overstepped his role. During my first encounter my two boys and I walked in, and he immediately directed us to sign in at the kiosk because the front desk attendant had stepped away. His behavior during this interaction was uncomfortable and felt unnecessarily confrontational. He asked if we lived in the county then questioned if we actually lived in the area, with a demeanor that came across as stereotyping. His attitude was confusing especially given that his role is security not front desk assistance. Today, I had another issue while on a phone call and tried to speak with the desk clerk. The same security guard intervened repeatedly despite my attempts to communicate that I did not want his involvement. He interrupted the situation unnecessarily and even after I told him to stop speaking to me he continued to interject. At one point he suggested calling for backup and then accused me of walking in aggressively despite me not raising my voice, being hostile, or threatening anyone. This behavior was antagonistic and unprofessional. Security staff are there to ensure safety not to interrogate or judge patients. When I asked for corporate or management contact information to report the incident, I was denied, and subsequent attempts to get this information over the phone were met with the runaround and long hold times forcing me to hang up. I value this urgent care location but I refuse to be subjected to unnecessary intimidation from someone whose role is purely security. This situation needs to be addressed to ensure staff remain in their proper role and patients are treated respectfully. I will be contacting corporate and they need to pull the footage to see his body language and how he spoke to me because it was unwarranted.
