You will see the counter stacked high with cakes, pastries and salads all made here too. There is enough space inside for a couple of small groups though we chose to sit in the back courtyard which is under cover and slightly heated. We were all given nice blankets for our laps too - always a nice touch. There is a full brunch menu with some great options if none of the freshly baked pastries are what you feel like eating. We went for the poached eggs with salad (looked great), the southern style chicken burger with fries (great burger) and a sweet orange and ricotta hot cakes with lemon curd butter, maple syrup and sweet dukkah. This was tasty and not overly sweet which is excellent. Coffee was strong and tasty, I think it was Supreme. We would definitely go back and I can see why it's such a local favorite.

Unfortunately I am no longer an avid drinker of coffee (thanks juice cleanse) so I just went for an OJ. That was served freshly squeezed in a huge mason jar it was cute. My partner got the latte and from the smell of it it seemed top notch! Also he said it was pretty damn special - so take his word for it guys :) So when hungover, time went by real slow for me. I was content sitting there spacing out and sipping on my OJ. Had I not been hungover though, I would have realized that 35 minutes went by and we didn't have our food yet. During that 35 minutes my partners coffee was long gone and 2 times that a waitresses came over she never offered him another coffee..! One of the waitresses came over extremely apologetic and promised us it was 5 mins away and admittedly they forgot about our order.. Dan was pretty dejected from this moment and wasn't very impressed with the place! They redeemed themselves though! Firstly they offered a second round of drinks on the house, and the food did come within 5 mins (notice that by the time we had our food we were now able to order the Reuben.. Dag nammit!) but the food was deeeeeelicous. It was beautifully presented and eggs were poached to perfection! We left there happy customers! So they had a rocky start, but we enjoyed the place and will come back (most likely after 1130 next time :))

It came on a nest of fries that had been woven together to form a birds nest. The scotch eggs were perfect with runny yolks and the nest and accompanying tomato base was really tasty too. My dining partner chose a fruit salad. When I say fruit salad this was no ordinary fruit salad. It contained so many fruits and berries and every piece looked like it should have been on a menu photograph. Apparently it tasted great too. You can tell the chefs and owners care about their food here. The coffee is really nice too and it's all very reasonably priced. I'm definitely coming back here. And if it's as good second time out I'm upping my review to five stars.

Coffee is fantastic, and I have it on good authority (from over hearing table talk while waiting for my coffee) that the food is worth coming back for.
