It's a wack school if you plan on wasting money and time go ahead and go here they tried sending me to the dmv with barely showing me any of the skills and wanted me to pay for the pre trip inspection. Let me start off by saying that Manny does know his stuff. But he has a "My way or the Highway" attitude. His favorite saying is "I don't think you are ready for the D.M.V. Let's book you some more classes" His classes are 1 hour each.... much of the time he talks about himself, and not the subject. Very seldom will you get more than 1 class a week, so plan on 3-4 months @ $129.00 a class, 15 class minimum. Most of the graduate pictures I saw on the wall were in the average of 30+ classes. And if he does allow you to use his truck to test, plan on shelling out an additional $495.00. and if you do not pass, you pay every time you go. If you are going to drop thousands on a school, go to one that will get you there in weeks, not months. read more

Mediocre training, I got my license in less than 2 weeks at another school, Manny is a thief , and Janell is his accomplice, They are vague about the cost of the training, and make the payment process very confusing on purpose, they say you can pay as you go , but will not schedule you unless you give them money in advance, They charge you 500$ to quit the training and charge you for there training book , a free book from the dmv that was from 2019 (not even up to date material) just a complete waste of time! read more

Maatson Trucking School was my best choice for Getty my Class A CDL. Manny was thorough, knowledgeable, confident and caring and taught me the right way to be a safe Commercial Truck Driver. First of all let me start out by saying I was extremely excited to get my CDL and I honestly believed Maatson was the right place to go and man was I wrong ! Started off with no set dates and times as to when I was going to learn. Keep in mind I was ready to go everyday for multiple hours but that's not how Maatson does things. You're lucky to get 1 hour in a 2-3 week period ! Which to me is no way to run a school that prides itself on getting people behind the wheel. The constant cancellations and the lack of hours available has me extremely unsatisfied ! I started school in August 2022 and had less than 8 hours coming into the New Year ! I would only recommend this business if you make them give you a set schedule with dates and times. It's not very professional if you ask me ! So here I sit with my CDL permit since August with no license in sight ! I'm not there anymore and am waiting for a refund to my credit card for the hours they owe me ! Manny Joe and Juan are all extremely nice and super helpful. I called around and met with different schools and ended up choosing Maatson. Signing up was super easy and Manny made everything very clear. My first few sessions I thought there was no way I could finish but Joe really helped me figure out what I was doing wrong and how to fix my mistakes. All three of these guys really know what they're talking about and have brought so many people to the dmv that they can tell if you are ready or not which saves you money and frustration from a failed test. The best thing about this school for me was their flexibility with my training times/dates since I work full time, they will find a date and time that work that works for everyone. This school is a great place if you don't want to learn how to drive a truck. The instructor lags it on the training and can be rude. It's a 500 dollar cancellation fee to stop his classes. I was required to obtain a Class A license for my job. I didn't know what to expect when I first went to Maatson Trucking school. I was enrolled by Janelle and it was super easy. She was very friendly. I was intimidated by the air brakes and the walk around, but the way Manny broke it down and explained everything made it easy to understand. As soon as I started driving it was a struggle at first but as I listened to Manny's instructions I got a better understanding of how to drive a semi. Manny took my father after coming from a poor academy located in Chatsworth (no need to mention the name). If you have the passion and ambition to succeed in this career/job this school is for you! My good friend Manny Is a ex driver who was just like me, first time I met him I knew he would do everything to help me reach my passion and fast! EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I tried to set up an appointment to visit this school and I couldn't even get them to answer the phone. Then when they called back days later, I spoke to this guy "MANNY" who is extremely cocky and seems to have some emotional issues. Manny started off speaking to me like I was a child and he was doing a favor by possibly allowing me to visit his trucking school. Then he couldn't even get the scheduling right when I tried to make an appointment, so he ultimately flaked out. Never bother to join this school. My experience with this school was very terrible. Manny has a variety of programs and all of them are worthless. Trucks are old,10 speed with double clutching; are you kidding me? Let me be clear, if you are new to Trucking then do not even bother to come to this school. There are other good school in neighboring area those have flatbed with 6speed transmission. Biggest problem with This school has no dedicated yard, you gonna learn on the side of the road. Which is one of the biggest negative point. The owner is behaving like he is doing you a favor like you are a child. You cannot learn this machine with in two weeks. It will take a while, before you are going up to speed unless you already have plenty of experience and you joined this school just to get your CDL. Would give 0 stars if that was an option. Would not Recommend to anyone!! This place is completely unprofessional and MANNY has a lot of issues. It seems he can't separate his personal life from his work life. I went in with my dad to get information on how the trucking school worked. As soon as we went in the guy says do you speak English? My dad Who has driven trucks his whole life lets him know he just knows the basics Manny says GET OUT OF HERE DONT WASTE MY TIME. With a knot in my throat we walk out flabbergasted. My dad enrolled in school to learn English and went back three months later. My dad really wanted to get his class A license so he went back to Maatson and Manny sent him to do the Physical exam which he passed but never answered his call again.
