Welcome to my 2025 apartment review tour!!!
This is a simplified intro into some of the Queen City's most popular, and a few underrated places to call home. I will cover customer service, the amenities, location, and overall thoughts as a potential future resident.
MMA LoSo: 4015 Craft St
Customer service/leasing office: 4 Star!
I was thrilled to encounter Jazzmyn the leasing agent on staff for the weekend. If you don't know by now, weekends can be unruly for an apartment office. They staff one person normally, and they typically have to leave the office to give a quality tour. MMA has a solution for that, self guided tour! On one hand I was bummed because Jazzmyn had such great energy, and was incredibly informative about the complex. But at the same time I was excited to take my time, and walk around the complex and see everything.
Location: 5* star!
Notice that asterisks? Yeaaaa this is an incredible location, however they share it with a few shopping/food businesses. Some include Salata and Taco Boy for starters. This can cause a bit of a hectic and crowded drive in and out of your new home. This also makes you, and your vehicle more susceptible to crime/damage etc. I would prefer to only share the gated garage with only residents of my building. I also take more comfort in a full faced gate, rather than a stick style lift gate (the kind used at train tracks).
Amenities: 5 star!
There is a decent gym, I wasn't blown away. They had the standard equipment, but nothing that stood out. They did have a coffee shop as you enter the main leasing office, also for better or worse. Some may be put off or have over sensory for the amount of people that come and congregate in the space. The patio/deck was outstanding, it had grills and chairs with an amazing view of South End. You could absolutely wow your guest with this one amenity.
Bedrooms: 3 star!
Mostly uninspired, one of the rooms shockingly had carpet in the bedroom and closet. The South End spots in particular have the same layout and island and stove. Nothing blew me away. And I again was shocked to see carpet.
Pricing:
I won't focus on this heavily, as they will have undoubtedly changed by the time you read this. The prices were competitive with others in the neighborhood, also I suggest lining up your move out date for the winter months. At the time of my visit they were offering 2 months free.
Pro tip: This place is booming, anddddd that may be a good thing or bad depending on what you want out of your lifestyle/homestyle. They have a great coffee shop that draws a crowd, they have top tier amenities, they also have a decent gym/pool. The location is A1, but that can lead to some overcrowding. The biggest con here for me was the shared parking deck with the general public. That's a safety and peace of mind concern I couldn't shake. If you can find the balance in those attributes, this might be the place for you! read more
