Managment blames Southend but no, it's a Camden issue. They claim they put a new camera system in, but who cares it doesn't stop the criminals and it hasn't stopped the thefts. Not to mention this year huge problem with fruit flies. Despite my apartment being kept immaculately clean. Why? I'm told that management isn't spraying at the base of the pipes this year. Wouldn't surprise me at all. this is definitely one of the worst buildings in there are far newer and better places for sure! Oh, and by the way, zero community events, they do nothing for residence! And I know for a fact, because a friend of mine told me management asked them to write a positive review when they moved out. So be aware of all positive review reviews!

It is also only about a 10 minute walk to the light rail, but when you live here why would you want to leave? The complex has grills in all of the courtyards so you shouldn't ever have to wait on a grill if your in the mood for grilling. The gym is state of the art with every piece of equipment you could imagine. The amenities here are second to none. The rent is unbelievably cheap compared to places nearby. I also like that it is really quite here and there doesn't seem to be a bunch of partying going on. The leasing staff is super friendly and they always remember my name which is nice. We also have community get-togethers around twice a month which is nice as well. I highly highly recommend this place if your looking for a new apartment to live in.

As so often happens, it was for the best. This disgusting germ spreading pest removed any doubts about leaving if the other situations hadn't. I've always been told with respect to cockroaches/roaches, if you see one there are more that you aren't seeing. I was just comfortable with knowing what to expect here (and moving is a pain), but that's not a good enough reason to stay given how I've been treated, and I'm ignoring how I was treated my previous residency here. In any event, finally saw it last night crawling across my bathroom wall & smashed it with my broom. The Zevo I'd nearly emptied on it didn't work...at all. Unfortunately, I can't give this community more than 2 stars because of my experiences of late and an ongoing one where it was implied I was the cause of the trash vendor's behavior. My neighbors have gotten upset with me for recording and taking pics of the scenery on my balcony and threw very disturbing items on my balcony. Curtains, a white paper towel and a rope as if they were trying to send a racist message. The balconies (depending on where you live) are very close together and if you are at the end of your balcony taking pics or recording and your neighbor has their blinds open, they will get upset with you even though you ain't paying them no mind. Smh.. If I was considerate of my neighbors, I would just close my blinds. After all... that's why we have them. Unfortunately, some people are just mean and racist. They also called and complained about noise once from my apartment. We were out on the balcony that night, 3 people using our "outside voices". The office staff is never the same. So many people have come and gone which makes it very disheartening to go in there at times and most of them have not been very polite. Ben is the only consistent and polite person that I have encountered that makes this place feel like HOME. The concierge has always been very pleasant and helpful and always makes it feel like HOME. I've had a few maintenance issues, but they were all resolved. I'm not a complainer and I understand with an apartment community, things will break and need fixing, you may hear neighbors if the walls are thin or you're out on your balcony and since it's uptown Charlotte "NOISE" is inevitable. So; overall the Vue is a great place to live other than occasional mean neighbors or mean front office staff.

This property is way too expensive in my opinion for Charlotte and 2. The noise has gotten out of control. I live on the ground floor (second level) and the noise is terrible. I hardly ever get a good night sleep on Wednesday & Thursday nights due to drunk people coming in between the hours of midnight and three in the morning yelling, slamming doors, playing music and screaming at the top of their lungs. Camden just put a game room in on the second floor. This is a really nice amenity to have, but I feel it adds to the noise during the week after 10 PM. I call the courtesy officer (CMPD officer that lives on the property) a couple times a month due to the noise. It is nice to have the officer on the property for peace of mind, however by the time he shows up, the people that are causing the noise have usually left. Office staff is great! You won't find friendlier more attentive people than the staff at Camden Cotton Mills. All the residents are very friendly for the most part. There are pool parties in the summer which are a blast and they even have free personal training sessions during the week which is pretty cool. My advice if you are going to live here and want to pay the inflated cost associated with living here, DO NOT LIVE ON THE GROUND FLOOR. It is not worth it due to the noise. I am a young professional that works in Uptown Charlotte. Sleep is very precious to me. If you live on the ground floor and probably the terrace floor (floor 7) you will probably be woken up Wednesday and Thursday night due to the noise. Over my period of two years living here, this place has turned into more of an upscale frat house / college dorm.

I understand that this is an old building and things break but the management has to be better with taking care of the building and alerting residence when these problems occur. We pay a premium to live in Uptown, but the value and service is just not in line with any other neighboring apartment complex.

It's also conveniently located right in the middle of two of the light rail stations to take you uptown/noda. -The apartment has to be one of the best built, as far as quality, newness, sound proof, and appliances you can get. There's always been plenty of parking options and the guest parking policy can't be beat in the area (that was major for me when I was looking because I have people visit from out of town quite often) -The maintenance staff have been some of the quickest I've ever come across. Every time I've ever had a maintenance request, (there's nothing that has ever been majorly wrong, it's usually just been a lightbulb or a window shade or something small) within a day or two these things are fixed. -Last, but not least, is the staff. The people that work in the building have got to be some of the nicest people I have ever come across. Anytime I've ever come to them with a question I'm constantly greeted with an overwhelming sense of being more like family then just a resident. Living here is a 10/10.
