So two weeks later my engine light goes on and took it back to see what it was and they told me a vacuum seal needed replacing. They could do it on Thursday. I showed up then and the guy I talked to wasn't there and the other guy said very sternly he would need it a week to diagnose it. I reminded him I was told they could do it and the price quoted but he said nope. Won't be back. Very poor customer service.

Today I stopped @ the W'frd shop as a 'test' of mrktng blather or truth in advertising. Blaine, Mikah, the team and the techs there were 100% as advertised. Without hesitation, they immediately drove and inspected my car to determine the source of my/it's issues. Tests were done, Q&As were exchanged among us and the results determined that, despite questionable sounds, every test, comparison and measurement, my car seemed to be in safe and good working order. Blaine said he'd reach out to other human and digital sources, describe the perceived/known problems/noise and would call me should any new opinions be offered. This business and these men are a FOR PROFIT establishment and COULD have certainly tried to convince me that I should let them 'do such and such' to try and solve the issue. Not only did they NOT try that tactic, they REFUSED to accept ANY compensation from me for the work they did in the investigation process! I am no novice and could have recognized an attempt to 'lead me' into spending some money with them..that NEVER happened.. I grew up in a small town so I can unequivocally say that it has been DECADES since I have had such a unique, honest, professional, unexpected and enjoyable interaction with auto mechanics....like small towns USED to have...with these men and this company! I called to speak to the owner, Brandon Waters, to relate my experience and spoke with John Lobato, a KINGWAY Manager in Aledo.. He was gracious, most appreciative and was happy to hear that 'his guys' are doing and being what they were hired to do! BOTTOM LINE..Folks.. take your car problems to them.. Luckily a cancellation occurred so it worked out in my favor. I felt so bad because they're doing construction down my entire street and he had to work with all that commotion. Let me tell you it didn't stop him from doing an amazing job on my hoopty. He showed up around 1:30 and didn't finish until a little after 4, it goes to show that this man takes his work seriously. Here are two…read morereasons why I love this guy: Inspection Incident: I have a 94 camry with a check engine light on. I brought it to Quall's and told him I need to get it fixed. He saw my tags were expired and he asked "are you getting it done for inspection?" I said yes and he informed me that for this old a vehicle a check engine light doesn't automatically fail an inspection so it may not be necessary and suggested I go ahead and get it inspected. Money saved ~$300?. I go to an inspection place, the car fails inspection, they tell me they can tune it up for $200 and hopefully get it to pass, I say 'no,' drive home and call Qualls to see if i can bring the car by to have him do it. He tells me to buy some RXP, a small bottle of additive that might cost me $12 at AutoZone, and that might do the trick. Did it and passed. Money saved ~$200. I always fear mechanics are trying to take advantage of me and tell me I need something done, when it really doesn't- like the inspection place. Qualls is an honest man- which is what I look for in a mechanic. He's already saved me $500+ so any car work I need I call him first.

Prices were very fair and he made the effort to get the work done in the most expedient time possible. Sometimes people mistake directness for surliness, and would gladly pay more to be fleeced as long as they were spoken to nicely. Me? I'd rather have reliable service done quickly at a fair rate. If I lived in the Arlington area, Qualls would get my service on a repeat basis, not least because it sports that hometown garage feel. The only knock on this place is that it's not very accessible; it's sort of tucked away in an industrial area of town behind many of its counterparts. That's a slight disadvantage that's well compensated for.
