Matt and Dave and their crew are everything you want in a contractor. They bring expertise to every…read moreaspect of the job, whether it's the heavy duty construction work or the fine details. We initially used them for a project where we removed multiple walls, including a load-bearing exterior wall, and installed a 20-foot accordion door. It was a unique job, and they handled everything from installing the 900 lb. steel beam to hanging a wallpaper mural that required exact precision. And on the few things they had to sub out, like electrical, they brought in fairly priced, excellent subcontractors that we had great experiences with. On top of that, the guys at Legacy are punctual, professional, and just great people. There are a million small decisions to make during the process, and they always consulted us, but had very solid recommendations--whether it was how to handle unexpected issues that didn't show up in the architect's schematics or design elements like trim styles and shades of stain. They provided the best bid we received, stayed on budget, and completed the project ahead of time. I can't say enough good things about them. In a matter of weeks, they transformed our home, while minimizing the impact to our daily lives. We've since used them for smaller maintenance projects and are about to engage them for multiple other larger projects. We'll never look for another contractor again!

We hired Legacy for a full Kitchen Remodel, and we couldn't be happier with the job they did. We had met with several Kitchen and Bath Re-modelers, but the moment Dave and Matt walked into the house we knew they were the ones. Dave walked around the house and just noticed things everyone else (including myself) had missed. He offered advice and said "We'll fix that" to several little things I never even noticed. .We just hoped his bid would not come in too high. We were delighted when they came in at a very fair price. Not the lowest, but well under the highest, we booked them on the spot. On day 1, the crew showed up, and we immediately noticed that everyone that walked through our door was pleasant, thoughtful and meticulous about the jobs they were performing. Our job entailed moving walls, replacing exterior doors on top of the usual demo and cabinet install. The crew worked faster than I ever imagined. Demo was done in a day. The door was out, walls were taken down and parts of the kitchen were taken to the studs. By the second week cabinets were in and countertops were installed. As they were working on the kitchen we kept making the job a little bigger. Asking to redo floors in all the rooms downstairs, and while you're at it please paint the whole first floor as well. They handled all our requests with professionalism and courtesy. Dave always came back within a few days with a very fair quote. He was also very thoughtful about helping us to think through our requests. Whereas some contractors would be happy to take your money and do the work, Matt and Dave actually pointed out what I would actually gain for the money I would be spending. I would often ask their thoughts on whether or not something was worth doing and they would give me their honest opinion. Where most contractors told me I was looking at 8 weeks they have finished everything they promised me in just under 6 weeks and then pointed out I have some credits coming back to me. It has been a pleasure dealing with Matt and Dave, as well as their crew. I couldn't recommend them more. Thanks for a job well done and the beautiful kitchen my whole family and I will enjoy for years.

First being that the sales team should DEFINITELY keep a physical color sample wheel for all of their appointments. It was difficult to choose a color when looking at them on a screen rather than seeing it in person. This created a temporary issue which was ultimately resolved but was an unnecessary delay. Next there are certain materials besides the siding which need to be touched on a little more, for example, the aluminum strip along my chimney would've looked nicer if it matched with the siding rather than it being white. Its a huge contrast that sticks out to me. More attention to detail on certain material colors would've been nice. All in all, the outcome is nice. There are just some things that I wish were different about my initial experience. I hope that Home Genius takes this as a learning experience so that other homeowners go through a better process than I did. Taylor wrapped this up nicely.

A very polite and friendly man came to my door on Sunday afternoon. The fact that this company thinks it is ok to bother me on a weekend, on fathers day specifically. I take that as rudeness and disrespect from the company. I have to say no tell a smiling face who isn't selling anything no they never are they just wanna do an assessment... I have to tell them no when no is never accepted. So I have to be assertive with a stranger during an unexpected visit on my day off or get peer pressured into a sales pitch. That is an unpleasant tactic and I believe it should be punished. I will never use Home Genius services for that reason alone and I hope you dont either. Liam Construction deserves more than 5 stars…read more.. Liam's Construction is the one stop place to get your home improvements. We contacted James to talk about replacing just the old wood siding that was bad, and fixing several areas of water damaged wood trim and boards and to paint the whole exterior of the house. So not only did he replace the bad boards and make the house look new again, but the extra care and detail into adding trim around the garage doors and windows made everything pop after the paint job. His painters sanded surfaces and primed two coats on every board and trim on the exterior. (some other painters did not even suggest that and were quoting a higher cost). They then painted with exceptional care and detail. We also needed a hole cut into the roof and not only was that done well, he paid extra attention to making sure the roof was well sealed and the old pipe removed and the roof fixed. They charged reasonable prices, stayed in good communication throughout the entire process, and were careful to address all questions. They were also very pleasant to speak to, James is both knowledgeable and a thoughtful listener. So we asked them to come back for routine gutter cleanup and an inspection for leak prevention, as they advertised as one of their expertise. This time, we are greatly disappointed; they did nothing with the gutters, leaving nails popping out, but told me I had a problem with part of the roof, but no definitive scope of work. Then someone claimed to be a representative called to talk about "roof work", including replacing all of my skylights. When asking for an estimate, it was refused and the person just kept reiterating the same phrase, "you have an expensive home". That didn't sit well, so I chose to end the conversation and definitely end the relationship. SAD!
