For me it was a real head scratcher. Rick and Tony came out the next day and arrived ontime at 830 am. Within an hour they diagnosed and fixed the problem which was faulty wiring of the GFI. I told them they did not have to but they insisted on repeatedly putting on booties when coming into the house. They have a $200 fee for coming out that covers repairs if they do not need to install expensive equipment. I think that is very reasonable in today's world. Rick, who lead the team, strikes me as being honest as the day is long. It is so good to find intelligent, honest, and competitant craftsmen to fix stuff when it needs. John checked it all out and gave me an estimate the next day. I had some questions. He answered them. We agreed on a start date and figured it would take about 10 business days to complete. His crew came on time and finished the job ahead of schedule. A few issues came up, as they will in a 100 year old house. They had to open a few ceilings which we were hoping wouldn't have to happen, but they were very good about conferring with us as each issue came up. They also discovered some wiring which had already been brought up to code so they told us about it and took it off the bill. I recommend Your electric now without reservation

The actual electrical work looks clean and professional. The new wiring follows our existing electric wiring, so it looks like it was all installed at the same time! (Not an afterthought or like it was tacked-on) They were friendly during the install and wore booties on their shoes, which was appreciated. Everything works as expected! Would definitely recommend and will use again if ever needed.

I called ITech and spoke to Tony. His calm demeanor and reassurance on the phone was comforting. He gave me the choice of waiting for Monday to do the repairs, or pay the additional emergency charge and have them come out right away. I opted for the right away and was glad I did. Tony plus two others arrived around 4PM and by 7PM everything was replaced and back to normal. The entire time there, Tony kept me informed every step of the way as well as making minor corrections to my circuit panel. I really appreciated how professional and clean all three of them were . I would not hesitate to call them again.

On the first occasion, Millman installed all new lighting fixtures throughout my place, which I had pre-purchased online. Most were replacements, three required new mounts and runs. Also had motion sensitive switches and dimmer switches installed. I supplied LED bulbs to be used in each fixture. Outstanding job. The second time, I had most of the electrical in my two bathrooms updated, new LED ceiling fans, LED lighting over the shower in one bath and the tub in another, and the bathroom switching reworked. Also great job. The most recent time I had Brian replace all the Occupancy switches in my place because I was unhappy with the old ones I had chosen. Two other external light switches were replaced with versions with digital timers. Again, terrific job. I would have no problem recommending Brian for any job, his estimates have always been close to the mark and the prices fair. Update (2017-04-03): Brian and his team spent half a day yesterday replacing switches, doorbell, outlets, etc.. Another great job, done on time and fairly priced.

My partner purchased her home several years ago and I noticed some wires were exposed in the garage…read moreand basement that 'didn't look right'. I called an electrical inspector who came out and did a complete inspection of the home. He found several electrical wires that were high voltage and not installed properly violating code. In addition, he made several recommendations regarding other issues in the home. We asked if there was an electrical contractor he could recommend that could do the required work in addition to several other small items we wanted to address (lights not working-fans that were working sporadically-broken doorbell-exterior outlet that needed removal). He recommended Powell's Electric - he said he knew the family that owned the company for decades and they were excellent. I contacted Powell's and they sent two technicians to our home - it was very easy scheduling an appointment, and they came right on time. They spent over 3 hours repairing the faulty installation of the high voltage wires, removing excessive, exposed wiring that was no longer connected to anything. They repaired the doorbell, outside lighting, removed the electrical outlet in the front yard that was for sidewalk lights that were no longer there. They completed all of the work efficiently and diligently. We felt very confident they knew exactly how to approach each issue. We are so grateful to have the electrical wiring in the home up to code and all the repairs completed! Powell's was a great recommendation, and we will use them if we ever have any future electrical issues!
