I wouldn't stay here again if this was the last fallout shelter in the state and a nuclear bomb was 2 minutes away from obliterating El Monte. This is the WORST motel I've ever stayed in. I know, I know, you get what you pay for, but DEAR GOD what a fucking dump. I knew the moment we pulled in to the parking lot I would hate it here, but I never thought it could be this bad. Cockroaches everywhere, moldy bathroom, smell of drug and cigarette smoking, furniture looks like they from garbage dumpster. Thanks to some airbnb crap that happened, I had no where to stay for a night. I went to hotwire and just booked an express deal and BAM i ended up at this motel. Upon arrival, I felt like I was suddenly in an episode of CSI. The driveway can only fit one car going in one direction, and this one driveway is the only driveway to and from the parking area. While we were in the narrow driveway, we saw a guy running behind us and I thought.. damn we are going to get murdered on the west coast. [this was our 2nd night in Cali]. No, he was just running to his room, we made it to the parking space alive. We walked to the office and it was literally a scene that I saw from CSI... people had their room doors open and I could see everything they were doing. They even had 2 security guards in the front so I was feeling a bit fcked. At check-in, I had no problems, it took 1 minute for me to get my room key. That was the fastest service I've ever gotten from a motel/hotel. On the way to the car, I read some reviews and started to worry. I got a top corner room facing the parking lot. The room was super clean, no graffiti, no crack pipes, no roaches. I was amazed. I checked the sheets, the bedding. No pubes, no blood, nothing. I hit the jackpot. Still, I felt like i could still get murdered in my sleep, so while my husband was unpacking toiletries, I pushed the cabinet against the door. He laughed at me. My stay was actually quite pleasant here. I woke up just fine. Their hot water was so damn hot I'm pretty sure it could give you second-degree burns. This room was still better than the airbnb that I had booked in Ktown, which was a few blocks away from prostitute street [literally 6 hookers came at our car all at once]. read more

If I could, I would not give any stars. Wife & I needed to book a last minute hotel since we were traveling from Vegas to LA and back to the Bay. We booked this hotel and the photos that were posted was completely misleading. In the photos the hotel looked decent and clean which is all we needed for a simple one night stay. We arrived around 11PM and pulled into the sketch one car entry/exit (only one car lane). Parking lot was dark and over crowded with cars. We were already tired and decided to check the room. As we walked to the front desk there were people coming out of the rooms with bikes and such as if they lived there. The vibe was like being in the hood. We get to the front desk, the Asian guys who checked us in were rude af giving us attitude for absolutely no reason. Made us feel uncomfortable and ready to walk out. Finally we get a key to the room located right across from the front desk area where a security guard was posted. Even the security guard looked unprofessional and sleezy. We entered the room and was blown away how nasty and disgusting the place was. Immediately smelt an overwhelming smell of pesticides. Graffiti on the furniture. Cigarette burns on the curtains, mold all around the bathroom, mold on the ceiling and bugs all over the place. Took a few pictures and immediately went back to the front desk to check out. Went inside to see two security guards at the front desk doing front desk duties. One of the guards even mentioned how the rooms were disgusting and that he agrees that he wouldn't want to stay there either and even tried to recommend other "nicer" hotels to us. We decided to take the loss of money and checked into Crown Plaza right after which is a 4.5-5 star hotel. I'm making this review to help others from making the mistake I made by booking this hotel. If you need a hotel for the night that looks like a crack house then by all means, but for those who care about safety and cleanliness stay away from this place. To top it off, as we were driving out of the parking lot, we see the two Asian guys from the front desk with the bedding/sheets. WARNING!! This is a nasty place. Moldy walls, unsanitary bathrooms, sticky floor, it's like every guess they only change sheets and take the garbage, that's it. The curtains are chopped like someone to cut then with a nail clipper. Chair and sofa have nasty stain. This is one of those hotels u see on Law and Order, but these people don't even care about cleaning the crime scene. Just pay 10 - 20 more dollars in a better place. You will thank me. And by the way, I usually stay at cheap motel when I come to LA but this place is not the cheapest but it's the worst. Update night 2: My whole body itches. GHETTO! This place is Disgusting. Inside and out. There's homeless sitting outside AND INSIDE the hotel promenaded there's trash everywhere. Management did NOT seem serious about check in. As advertised says theres cable tv's. Well there's no cable. My shower was legit broken, The nozzle fell off without even having to pull it. The water does not get warm. I also found a girls Falsey eye lash on the bathroom floor.. there's a used hair tie on the door handle. For the price of this place, they definitely should be doing remodeling and upgrading. I'm highly upset with the money i spent on this POS. I would've rather slept in my car and showered in the ocean over this grimmy place. Before booking this venue, you have to remember that this is a motel & is nothing fancy. They are also currently remodeling their rooms (as of 4/3/2017). Hope you don't mind construction noise during the day and equipment around the area. Entrance/Parking Area: Entrance wise, there is only one way in and one way out. It's a single street that looks like an alley and leads you to the back where you can park your car. The parking lot in my opinion seems very dirty & a little ghetto. Also the environment there had a weird smell like pee or a dumpster. Luckily you can't smell it on the inside of your room. Checking in: Walking into the office, I didn't get a warm welcome. Mind you I'm Filipino & my boyfriend is Black, so no greeting for us just stares. I had to go up to the desk & wait a few minutes until the 3 employees (Chinese: 1 woman, a tall elderly worker & what seemed to be the manager/owner). Normally hotels charge you at the end of your stay but this motel did not, they charged me as soon I checked in. Room (queen bed room 241) : We luckily got a room that was remodeled, new hardwood floors & redone bathroom. The furniture were not damaged. For the price & slight "ghetto-ness" from the outside, it was actually very nice in the inside. No microwave or fridge. The AC works, is kind of loud but I didn't mind it. After opening all the drawers, we found old candy, a smoked out cigarette & a crack pipe. Yes, I said CRACK PIPE. So please thoroughly check your room before settling. There is no phone in the room, so I walked down to the office & the manager seemed very concerned & said he would send someone to clean it right away. But it took 25 minutes for a maid to come clean out the room, who was on her phone talking. Checking out: Bring your room key back because they reuse them & tells what room you were in so you can check out. Telling the room number you were in will do nothing. Agoda lets you book now and pay later but when I got there the Asian man at the front desk told me he gave my room away because my card was declined! Not too shabby, I'll say. I stayed here over the New Year and was pleasantly surprised by this motel. The reason I chose it initially was because it was a very affordable price and close to where I wanted to go (Pasadena), but you know how that sometimes goes when things are cheap (I was holding my breath and ready to cancel). HOWEVER, even though the property was a bit intimidating, the room I got was very very clean, and very nice and cozy. Comfortable bed, nice pillows and they even lay an extra blanket out for you in case the heater on the new-looking AC/heater unit isn't enough. Flat screen TV and HBO! Perfect. I also like the little touch of putting lights on the two trees in the middle section. It just gives the place a warmth and the touch of someone who cares. Also, it was pretty quiet. There were a couple people at around 4AM that were talking (just a bit) loudly through the night as they passed through, but I assumed they were just heading to their car in the parking lot. No harm done, gentle friends. And the security guard at night is nice. I needed help with how to turn on the TV (I'm a dunce) and he came in and showed me. Yeah! read more

i stay in hotels about 50-75 times a year. these are all over the world. often budget, so i understand how they work. never, and i mean NEVER, have i felt so devalued as a customer. I wish to thank JUDY for being absolutely awful in her interpersonal and managerial skills. i wanted so much to support this business. it provides shelter for families, and its proximity to the jail makes it a nice jumping off point for people having hard times. a great deal of local construction people also seem to use this business. at $47 a night I booked three nights in order to do some writing in peace. this fund was booked as no refund. I checked in, and though i presented platinum credit card for incidentals, I was still asked for (are you ready for this) $5 for a deposit on one of those plastic key cards. eventually i was issued not one, but two rooms with food crumbs all over the place. either the maid -who glared at me for daring to question her cleaning skills- was lazy, or she had a love of cookies and a mouth too small to actually fit them into. I offered to sweep myself..... for a $5 deposit fee. an absolutely charming young lady who obviously hates her job just slightly more than being asked to refine it. nothing like excelling at the easiest of no-skill-involved-jobs out there. but ok. so. after fixing the toilet and sweeping up the crap with my shoes and hands, i was then lucky enough to get to fix the toilet. yummy. i then went to the store to get a washer and some water. by then i was tired, and ready to crash. hey. where are the pillows? so i go back to JUDY and ask for a pillow. i mean, pretty basic. she explains that is a maid thing, and that the maid was gone, and that she, JUDY, was unable to locate one. that would have required she get off her butt and find one. unfortunately her butt had been glued to the seat near the surveillance screens (9 of them) while she spied on the customers. "You go to the store and buy one," she says. i laughed, walked into the courtyard (where all the guys with neck tattoos smoke) and I curse and tantrum. I then go back inside and explain i will be leaving because the motel was unacceptable. our exchange was cordial. simple. she explained she could not refund my card because orbitz had not released funds to the hotel yet. i return to my room and call orbitz to file a formal complaint.they call JUDY and she tells them she has to wait for a supervisor to release the money back to orbitz. in other words, she LIED to me. ok. no big deal, i will let orbitz solve it in the morning. upon returning to the lobby to get my deposit, JUDY scolds me, then laughs and says, "NO REFUND. you won't get that money back. wow. laughed. I tell her, "listen, this is about you and i. we can be professional. this is out of our hands, and was never your problem. No need to be mean, and i thank you for your time, JUDY." hearing that i had learned and used her name shut her up. So. I am waiting for orbitz to call. but this is obviously a place that puts scams on people of poverty in lieu of service, and she wrongly assumed she would pull it on me. For you people who truly utilize yelp and orbitz: read reviews like this, and understand how this NO REFUND scam works. as a CONSUMER you have the right to certain accommodations, and stealing your money when you are unhappy with the service is not ok. I will put a FORMAL complaint on file with the Better Business Bureau, Orbitz, MasterCard, El Monte Chamber of Commerce, nd then file small claim and sue for the refund. and, of course, leave this review on yelp, google and Trip Advisor. tweet out to 60k people, utilize facebook (additional 20k people) for start. please feel free to share, and if they make the right decision and refund my money, I will let you know. buyer beware. know your rights, and resist exploitation. take pictures, be vigil, and stand up for your rights as a consumer. *********** UPDATE: after being given a false phone number by the M Motel, orbitz followed up by calling the hotel. no surprise, the hotel stopped picking up. according to orbitz records, the hotel stated that i had been shown 4 rooms (it was 2) and they (JUDY and owner DAVE) accused me of stealing something. (please read other reviews- this is a ruse the hotel uses). fyi, i am affluent, but i am very relaxed and often people believe that i am homeless. MORAL: never judge a book by its cover. in any event, M Motel refused to remit full payment ($157). However, orbitz reviewed my case, refunded the money, and THEY will follow up with the hotel. as for the roaches, bed bugs, and vermin? you can come to your own conclusions. unclean habitation was clearly visible. trash dumpster in back of lot showed evidence of vermin (droppings) and human waste (urine). but i have never been accused of stealing from a hotel. unbelievable. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!! Wow, where do I begin??!! This weekend was supposed to be a great weekend but by me making the reservation here, made this a terrible weekend for my family and I. This was the only place available for a last minute plans. When we first got the property, it looked trashy like a men's home, per say. I checked in and front desk man seemed nice checking me in. Left our luggage in the room relaxed for about an hour and left to visit family, came back after a few hours, our room key (card) was scanning but the door was not opening. We tried and tried but seemed like it was stuck. I went back to the office to notify them about the issue, the Asian man scanned the key and said it worked. I went and tried it again but no luck, mind you, our 2 kids are sick waiting in the cold. I went back to the office mad, I told the man that I wanted my money back because I was not going to stay here. He told me that the key worked and I said no it doesn't and sent a worker to help with the door. I told him that my kids were sick and he said "it's only been a few minutes" I told him that I didn't care, he said "I don't care either" and that's when I lost it and I told him "it's clear that you don't care" and I stormed out. My boyfriend had to open the window to get inside the room and open the door because the worker could not fix it. We grabbed our things and left, we were not going to stay after seeing how the man at the front desk did not care. We have since been trying to call to speak to the manager but either "he's not here" or "we do not have a manager" are only the responses I get. When I first looked I needed something affordable and decent. I did not get the chance to check yelp for this place, but we kind of did not have a choice and where else to stay. I highly recommend never staying at this place. You can see pictures on Yelp how the place is trashed and there's even crack pipe pictures and tagging along with roaches. Glad I didn't stay, they kept our money because they did not want to refund us. I will fight for my money or maybe they need it more than us. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! At first I thought it would be a great motel since it wasn't far from the various locations that I wanted to see but I was wrong. There were very sketchy people who were staying there and it made me feel very uncomfortable. Upon walking in the room first I noticed the odd stains on the floor and then I proceeded to notice the ceiling. The "cable" had three channels. Then every morning roaches would appear in the bathroom. I was highly disgusted at the throw up looking stain on the side of the bed I luckily took my own pillow and blankets I didn't even want to walk around with my shoes off. I wish there was a zero star for this purpose! Super dirty. Did not feel safe at all for the family. It was hard to navigate the parking structure. The advertisement pics through booking/etc., is not what it looks like. I initiated a courtesy visit 3 hours prior to checking in. My family didn't feel safe. So I approached the front desk. I asked the front desk if I can have an early cancellation even if it's half. The front desk was not only rude but super uncooperative and unprofessional. He said to call your booking provider. I called the booking provider in front of him to make sure he picks up the call for the cancellation to be honored. He then, said the reservation office is not his department, it's in Texas. Let me repeat this again, it's not in California El Monte. But in Texas. What a great operation they have! Never ever ever again will ever, recommend in my lifetime, this motel to anyone i know!!! Nor help this type of business who is uncooperative and unhelpful. If you ever read this. Make sure it is a last minute and desperate stay that you need for this purpose. The only thing good about this place is the price. The walls are thin so you can hear all of your neighbors. There's wifi, free parking and lots of places around it which are pluses. Our bathtub was dirty and not cleaned. I also noticed a few bugs on the floor. Luckily, the bed and the sheets were cleaned. They don't clean everyday but they do drop off fresh towels, soap and shampoo. My boyfriend and I were in a bit of a bind and needed a cheap place to crash for a few days. We would not stay here again. You get what you pay for. I blindly booked on Hotwire so they don't tell you the hotel until after you book it. The bed was fine and the size of the room was a good size but other than that, I would not recommend this place unless you're really in a jam. read more

Outside: Narrow entry leading to parking lot. Lots of trash on ground in parking lot as if no one ever cleans there. Courtyards are full of cigarette butts. Certain areas smell of urine. Lots of shady looking people. Check in: Not very welcoming Room: Carpet needed vacuuming and shower curtain was dirty. Lamp near bed was broken. Got up from laying down, turned on lights and saw roaches near the sink/fridge area. Opened fridge and spotted a roach. Looked on side of fridge to see hair and an old fruit loop and a smashed roach on the wall. No phone in room so I went to the office and the worker started asking why did I not report when I got into the room and what time did I eat dinner. I explained that I didn't see the roaches until turning the lights back on. And I only mentioned other problems after I got grilled. I got a different room. Good: WiFi, bed, free parking, rate (paid $60.61) Bad: No microwave in the room, no phone in the room (so If the front desk can't be reached by your phone, you're gonna have to go to the front desk) Ugly: How do I put this (another yelp reviewer called them 'unsavory') People hanging out n camping out in the parking lot, cigarettes in the corridor. So, once you're inside the room, you're fine but you're gonna have to step out either to warm your food in the microwave in the corridor or go to the front desk. Got a bad vibe from the folks hanging out. PS: Hope it's a one-off but after I checked in, the room wasn't ready for 45 minutes. I was asked to wait but in the morning they had no problem rushing me out at 11:45 AM although the checkout is at noon. During checkout, nothing was mentioned but when I left the hotel and looked at my bank statement, I got charged twice. Hope it's an error. Only reason I booked this hotel this time around was because I knew what to expect but almost everything went bad this time and my experience has deteriorated over the last few times of staying here. Really, I don't want to give you any star! ! ! I booked this hotel on Priceline. The website is 2 and a half stars and the price is cheap. The pictures on the internet looks good too, so we booked two rooms for two nights. When we came to check in that night, the parking lot was small (it was in the backyard of the motel, there was a fence, not the kind of public). It was easy to drive over without looking carefully. This is not a problem. The key is that there is some homelesses inside. I am not discriminate against homeless, but in the parking lot of your own place in the motel, its not make sense. (After checking in, we took a look at the room and went to eat, and our stuff were not put directly inside.) When I come back upstairs in the evening, I don't know if a man who lives in this area is taking drugs on the stairs. It is drug！ I went in to the room and put down the luggage and then I looked carefully around the room. There were hair in the sheets, bath towels, towels, and various yellow stains. The bedside cabinets used various traces of cigarette butts. The mirror on the sink was attached to the QR code of the prostitute. There is also a strong marijuana smell in the house, as well as a variety of cockroaches. Because the environment was really bad, we decided not to stay here the second night, so I went to the office to say this situation next morning. Their employees told me where to book for the room where you would go to find out, I said that I need to talk to management, the staff said that they are not here, then I said do you have his number？and the staff said that he does't know! So we called Priceline again to explain the situation. The website said that the motel changed the room for us. The other ones couldn't manage it. This responsibility was shirked and impeccable! Since we alreadt pay the money for rooms and they didnt refund，so we came back at night and let the motel change the room for us. Around one am, a security followed an American African male knocked our door and want to check our room and said that there is no information about us，excuse me? Your employees bring us to the new room，why you said check our information？ Stuff are all asian and speak Chinese. What kind of ghost is this strange man? Is your security so easy to come up with someone to check our room? If we don't have information, we can not check in, can we live here? Say good security is just a display? Will you only smoke at the office door with other people who don't know if they live here? When we checked out in the morning, we went to the front desk to explain the situation. The management at the front desk was not surprised and didn't want to respond to this matter. We also told us not to say it. We said that we are not good at getting rid of this. What kind of attitude do you not give to any solution and do not want to respond? Are you good at your attitude? ! (There is an employee who wants to talk and let this management call to check the room) We left the room and went to the nearby police station. The police are no longer familiar with this store. Obviously that means I booked it blind by just choosing the zone and the price (with a clue from the "star" rating). Hotwire had given it 2 1/2 stars - which is TWO stars too many. OK, so it was only $45 + tax, etc., but Hotwire claimed this was a 50% discount! Highly doubtful. The place has a horrible smell like one of the grungiest places you would find in Tijuana. There's not much point in me writing much except confirm all the horrible reviews others have gone to great detail to share. PROS: The only pro I can give this shit-hole is that the room is fairly large. CONS: What everyone else said, plus there is no microwave in your room. Instead there is a single microwave sitting on a rickety nightstand outside in the courtyard by the "housekeeping department." read more

I recently stayed at the M motel in El Monte. It's right off of Valley Blvd. and Baldwin Ave. It has a big green sign outside that has a M you can't miss it. I usually stay at the motels in the area so I know what to usually expect but this one was worth the review. I was given a Special deal for $45 dollars a night... Yes that's $45 dollars no tax just a flat rate of $45 plus $5 dollars for a key deposit which they return once you check out but seriously you really can't beat that price. I checked out the other two motels which was $65 and is filthy. According to the staff which were really nice, they are currently having the rooms renovated and wanted people to see the changes that were currently being made. Pros: #1 The Price! I payed $65 a night - it was an emergency and I needed a place to crash that has AC and a toilet. #2 AC and toilet work. The bathtub is decent though you have to craft your own drain stopper as usual. Cons: #1 TV has the worst selection of channels I've ever seen! I think 9 in total. 3 of which were shopping channels. And a bad antenna connection. Boo! #2 A bit DIRTY. Hairs in the bathroom- of course. And I had black feet just from walking threw the living room a few times. #3 NOISY. My wife and I checked this place out last week. Now and then we like to get out of Hollywood and adventure in areas we don't know very well. City camping, haha. Driving in, there is a long driveway to the back that's a little creepy -- narrow, and you don't know where it's gonna spit you out. But the parking is all fenced in and feels safe once you conquer that weird driveway. The exterior is in need of some love. It looks like the color scheme used to be purple, maybe? The new green and blue signage they have up is nice and new, but the rest of the place needs to catch up. We took a long trek to the lobby, which was clean and also seemed new (another thing high on the remodel list, I'd guess). The older gentleman at the front desk was kind and confirmed that the new management is just starting to fix the place up. The security guards kind of made us feel safe, but also made us wonder how rough the area is (was?). I don't know El Monte very well. Anyway, the outside of the motel doesn't really matter -- or reflect what's inside. For about $60, we got a remodeled room. The clerk indulged us and seemed to have time, so we toodled around to a few different rooms and had our pick for the night. We peeked in a couple rooms that had NOT been remodeled -- they're passable enough for a $50 sleeping box. 244 was fine, but faced the parking lot. 102 had musty carpet. 116 was all re-done and had a hotel style shower, woo. We stayed in 218, because it was nice and on the second floor. New carpet, decent TV, comfy bed, clean bathroom. They did the single-wall color contrast paint. Fancy. This place will be nice when all the rooms are done. For now, choose wisely. I expected a lot of noise and foot traffic -- a lot of people were walking around when we drove in, but it was actually really silent through the night. We ordered pizza, watched Godzilla on HBO (hell yeah, cable!), slept well. The dude next door was a trucker who said he always stays there when he has a break from work. All in all, nice enough. The place is in big transition, but it seems to be heading in a really good direction. And the employees we ran into were nice and professional. I'd stay there if I found myself in the area again. I'm not certain I'd be like OH, MAN, REMEMBER HOW GREAT EL MONTE WAS?! LET'S GO BACK! But M Motel isn't bad. read more

This is probably the saddest place we've stayed at, to begin with it's a $49 room at best, bring your roach spray, plus candles, poor interior decor, stained sheets, lumpy mattress, graffiti on the furniture, sad lamp, mis match shower curtain, in need of wall repairs, not what you would get from the internet picture. read more

Stayed here for one night because it was very last minute and I planned on being in the area. First off, the parking lot is small and not in the safest neighborhood. The road getting to the back in narrow. Just sketchy all around. No pool, very basic rooms. Barely any tv channels, but the room is somewhat spacious. There are some places to eat and a gas station nearby that is walking distance. It was an okay stay and surprisingly cleaner than I thought just from looking on the outside, but still couldn't have been much cleaner. Staff was okay as far as customer service. I wouldn t stay here again personally unless I had absolutely nowhere to go. read more

First of all, there was no hot water. I guessed since it was socal people wouldn't want to take hot showers but I needed it at the end of the night when it got chilly. There was no remote for the TV which made it a pain when you want to watch TV while falling asleep in bed. No hair drier. They don't clean your room and I stayed there for 6 nights! They knocked on our door one morning to check if we needed any towels or toilet paper. Over all, you get what you pay for. It got the job done and it was okay. read more

The night I spent in a room in this motel was a nightmare. The first room they gave me, I saw a few bugs and bug seeds on the half white sheets. I found more on the bathroom and fridge area floor. I informed the office and requested a cancellation. The lady did not even apologize to me. She said my reservations are not refundable. She assigned another room to me, I had to take that. The TV was not working at all. At night when I cautiously got into bed, I saw a couple more bugs by the bed. It was so disgusting and I didn't get any sleep. The customer service was horrible. *unrenovated room review* This motel was pretty sketch looking, not what it appear to be according to other reviews. Granted, we chose to stay in the room but if you have the choice, please pay a few extra dollars for the nicer option. I never saw what the renovated one looks like though so don't trust my word on whether it is better. The bathroom curtain had a little mold, the toilet paper did not have a holder. Also, no fridge, microwave or tv remote controller.They had construction going on, and the motel looked like an old apartment complex. There are many families who stay there so I guess I felt relevantly safe... And I used to live in Washington Heights in NYC and this was a bit scary to be around. No bed bugs as far as I can tell. Overall, I had higher standards because of previous reviews but I just want others to be aware of what is going on. Hopefully, in the future it will improve. I stayed here a few months back , and they were doing a lot of construction a lot of rooms weren't available. The parking is really weird , it's looks like a half way house with all the druggies and prostitutes hanging around out back , and they had a random microwave in the left hand side by a hallway it was weird. I came here because online it seemed nice the reviews were okay , and I heard under new management and remodeled so it was cheap. As you walk from the back to the front it feels eerie at night it's looks like an old apartment complex , anyways went up front got room key went to my room , it was not to bad looking , looked nice compared to the outside of the place! They didn't have a room phone so everything little thing you have to walk up to front desk , it was inconvenient and just plain annoying , cause when I would call from my cell it didn't work. They have free wifi but the signal is vey low if you're at the back or middle of the place , I mean you even have to pay for towels well that's what the sign in the lobby said , maybe it was for missing or damaged I don't remember but I remember there was hand towel 2.00 and so fourth. They did have a mini fridge so I guess that was ok You get what you pay for I don't know how it was before it was remodeled its in a random spot in El Monte , and the people hanging out back made it worse , but I wouldn't stay again .... Horrible horrible horrible. Now is raining at 4am and we packing all our stuffs. We got transferred from budget in which is next to this. And we check the room again sooo disgusting !!! We can't handle it anymore and we rush to leave!!!!even though it's raining cats and dogs!!! Cockroaches !!!!! And disgusting bed sheet and everywhere like END OF WORLD!!!! People always left comment here to say " you get what you pay". Excuse me ? We pay then we pay, it's not for free. And it's not that cheapest anyway! You only need to pay for extra $10 you can get a way better motel or whatsoever !!!! I can't believe this motel can last so long time! Ok, so lets me make this real easy, DON'T STAY HERE!! This place is complete crap, the rooms are old, stained, dirty and runned down, the Wi-Fi doesn't work, and the "Cable" is nothing more then a digital tv box. Ever wanna see how it feels to live in a slum? Come here, place is full of thugs who post up in front of their rooms or in the concourse area, this place is a cholo hang out, this place also houses permanent residents. Parking lot also sucks, it's small, and only one driveway that is only wide enough to fit one vehicle, so if you are exiting and someone is entering, one of you has to back up, do yourself a favor, pay the extra money and stay elsewhere, unless you like that slum feeling read more

Everything was really ghetto and dirty. The room was nonsmoking and still smelled like cigarretes we had to buy a candle to at least help with the smell. The couch has so many different stains on it that i didnt even set nor touch it because i was afriad to get something from it. The bathroom door was tagged up the bed cover had holes and was also stained.. Never staying here again. read more

If I could give a 0 I would. This place is soo ghetto. If ur looking for a sleazy place to have a one night stand it MIGHT be ok, if u don't really like the person. There's mold growing on the walls in the bathroom, the floor is rotting thru in places. Graffiti on the walls and doors. We looked at 3 rooms, 1st one air didn't work, it's 103 degrees outside. None of the 3 rooms had light switches that work. The 2 queen beds ended up being a king and a double smashed into a small room, have to walk sideways between the beds, whoch are not only hard but laying on straight spings. Because we booked thru Hotels.com they wouldn't cancel our reservation, nor would the website. They are doing construction on certain rooms and have trash strewn out all over the courtyards. And when walking thru courtyard it smells like piss, weed, and cigarette. U definetly get what u pay for. Don't waste ur money here. read more

OMFG. Ok FIRST of all don't trust these pictures guys. It's a SCAM! What they don't show in the pictures is cholos in every corner, carpet that looks like it hasn't been vacuumed In years? And like don't clean the bathrooms or shower curtains.We were looking for a cheap room because we only needed it for one night and I know you get what you pay for but WHOLEY sh**. This place is HORRIBLE. I don't understand how the workers can work there without feeling like there is going to be a shooting every 5 seconds. I was relieved that I wasn't going to spend a long time in the room but I was deathly afraid to come back and run into cholos because there was so many there. I was going to Hollywood horror nights at universal studios and let's just say I was more horrified of this hotel than anything else. read more
