Nicole was incredibly detail oriented and walked us through all of the decision we had to make for the wedding thoroughly. For many of the decisions that we didn't even think of, Nicole always had some creative ideas that really aligned with the look and feel we were trying to achieve with the event. Also, Nicole's knowledge of all of different vendors in the wedding space was immensely helpful as many of her recommendations were significantly less expensive than the vendors we originally researched. On the day of the wedding, Nicole took care of everything from the very beginning, worked with all the vendors to set everything up, coordinated with everyone in the wedding party, and our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. The amount of stress she removed from the event cannot be measured and we are extremely grateful that we had Nicole to help plan and orchestrate our big day.

Finally, at last, I'm getting around to reviewing the wonderful Nicole. She did an amazing job…read morecoordinating our July wedding, going above and beyond to recommend vendors, make our wonderful flowers, set up and break down our ceremony, set up and break down our reception space, and make sure everything ran on time. Speaking of things running on time, I was adamant that our ceremony not start late. She got everyone seated and the bridal party lined up so quickly that we actually got started three minutes early. That might not sound like much, but to me, it meant that she heard how important that was and made it happen. She also brilliantly hung some decorations I made-- well, I didn't finish them, meaning they couldn't hang the way I intended. The way she hung them was even better than I pictured in my mind, and made for a beautiful ceremony backdrop. This sounds cliche, but I'm not sure if we could have pulled everything off without her. She took care of the details so we could focus on our guests, and that meant so much to us.

We were referred to Jenn Tai by our wedding planners. We spent $4,410 for 6 hours of wedding day…read morecoverage with 1 photographer. Our photographer was Kelly Bowie. From the moment Kelly arrived at our wedding it felt like amateur hour. Even though we met with her in advance of our wedding and sent all the details in writing, she "forgot" pretty much everything we discussed. For example, Kelly forgot to bring the list of family groupings for the family photos. Kelly also forgot that we needed seating for disability accommodations during the family photos and chose a location that required our elderly and disabled guests to walk down a hill and then stand outside in the August heat for almost an hour with no place to sit. Additionally, during the ceremony Kelly's presence was very distracting. We were in a small greenhouse with multiple entrances where she could have easily walked around the guests to get from one point to another but instead she walked down the aisle and in front of our guests multiple times during the ceremony. If it's possible, when we received the photos we were even more disappointed in Jenn Tai Photography. There was a real lack of attention to detail that was visible in the photos and that you expect a professional photographer to be aware of. For example, in several of the photos you can see phones visible in pockets, hand sanitizer clipped to belts, etc. Also, some of the key photos were overexposed and as a result faces or images were so light that detail was lost. We brought a lot of these issues to the attention of the company owner, Jenn, who did her best to address our concerns during post-production editing. Jenn's customer service was great and we know that she worked hard to try to correct the issues. Thank you, Jenn, for doing your best to fix our photos. Overall, we're still not happy with most of our wedding photos, but thanks primarily to Jenn's post-production work we have a small percentage of wedding photos that we love and will cherish.

We interviewed a handful and felt an instant connection. Not only is she super professional and great at what she does, she makes being photographed fun and easy! She photographed both our engagement photos and our wedding. For our engagement photos she made both of us feel super comfortable not only in front of the camera, but also packing on the PDA at Sculpture Park lol. The photos were fantastic and really did capture who we are as a couple! Fast forward to our wedding. She was super organized, able to keep our family in line (it can be like herding cats) but most importantly, she was super inclusive to all of our family and friends. Our photos are beautiful and candid. Looking at them makes you feel like you were there on the day. We will recommend Jenn to all our friends and family and continue to use her as our family grows! Did I mention she's also hilarious. You'd be doing a disservice to your event not to hire her!

Very 20s (1920s!). Back to Julie - she was flexible with our schedule and day of delays (multiple wedding party members had new babies). She did ensure we got all the pictures needed. Her style matched perfectly with our aesthetics. She captures the natural action vs. more posed - we had so many funny and emotional pictures from various moments of the day. The second photographer was friendly and great as well. Julie shared some sneak peeks on Instagram and Facebook within a week or so, and got us the full set within 6-7 weeks. She included two sets: low size & resolution versions for sharing with others and a high resolution one for printing. We already printed a bunch (from Costco) including a canvas print - turned out great!

It gave us the opportunity to get to know one another face-to-face. Once we decided to move forward with working together, she was communicative and responsive to all of our questions. She offered guidance and recommendations to us when considering different aspects of our wedding. We scheduled our engagement shoot with Julie and the weather was questionable. We kept in touch days, and even hours, leading up to our shoot to confirm our plans. We brought our dog along to include in our photos and Julie handled her so well, giving her treats to cooperate and literally took the leash when getting shots of just my fiancé and me. She was creative and we loved the direction she took. Once the photos came back we were in love! She was able to capture us (non-models) and our dog beautifully and we have been happily sharing with family and friends in anticipation of our big day. When the COVID-19 situation became an immediate threat to our wedding plans, Julie was one of the first to reach out and check-in on my fiancé and me and was adamant to work with us on whatever we decided. Eventually we decided to postpone our wedding and she was flexible with us. I cannot wait to have Julie capture our big day!

I wasn't sure what to expect with a live-action photographer! Our engagement photo shoot was pretty awkward because we both had preconceived ideas of how it was supposed to go. I was expecting more direction, he was just wanting to document US. It was much easier during the wedding because there was so much going on we had no time to think about posing (except for a few mandatory family pics), plus we were happily married and had perma-grins all night. Daniel was able to use his extensive professional experience to deftly capture the best moments of the evening for the nine hours we had him hired for (pre-wedding also). Looking through them now I feel like I am back in the moment reliving the fun and joy. We also asked for all of the RAW photo data as part of our agreement, which he was more than happy to comply with, which is sometimes hard for a photographer to do. http://www.abeautifuldayphotography.com/blog/2014/09/06/jodi-and-eugenes-within-sodo-wedding-photos/

Very highly recommended.

I was most impressed with how they juggled our crazy relatives. We had a delicate family situation with some big personalities, and Joe effortlessly walked the line between "getting what we wanted" and not ruffling feathers. He was in command without being commanding, was flexible yet faithful to our requests, and moved us through the picture process with poise and a positive disposition. If you have crazy family, you could not do better. During the ceremony he was a ghost. I can't actually remember him or Erika being present, yet the photos from that moment are equally parts intimate and sweeping. He captured it all--the guests, the wedding party, the vibe and the reception. We had a killer dance party following the festivities, and they were unafraid to get into the mix. Those are my favorite pictures from the night, and Joe and Erika were an unobtrusive team that captured it all. Can't say enough. The price was right, we found a package that fit our needs, and we will treasure the photos our entire lives.
