The only other time I visited a Samsung Experience Store was back in the Summer of this year, where I visited a branch which was laid out fairly similar to this one, yet slightly larger in Newcastle Upon-Tyne. Moving back to this branch in question - it is in a good location located on Briggate, perhaps not as central or easy to find as the Apple Store which is located in Leeds Trinity, but the store is still in a decent central location and easy enough to find. The staff in this store didn't stand out as much as other stores, for example at the Samsung branch mentioned earlier in Newcastle, or most Apple stores in general. The store seemed to have a good, yet not fantastic range of product, and there wasn't a huge amount of detail about the products, such as by saying why the product is special, its USP and what it can do that other device can't etc, there wasn't even a really obvious way of displaying the name or prices of the devices throughout the store. The selection of products on show, as mentioned was decent, but it was merely satisfactory. The store layout was average yet again, it was similar to other Samsung Experience Store branches such as Newcastle as mentioned, yet different to both branches in Manchester. A two-star rating as this store is decent and in a good location but to many points hit the boxes of average, rather than above average or even fantastic to warrant a higher rating, which is of course a shame.

My beloved mobile phone departed this world and I was left in that awful situation where you need…read moreto replace it outside of an upgrade, i e pay for a new one( Am not very well informed digitally, in fact I have been described as a "digital immigrant" by my Niece so initially went into another branch for advice. Ended up purchasing a phone that was far from suitable and did not meet my needs at all. Was in a bit of a tizz and was considerably lighter in the pocket to say the least... I went into Briggate CPW store and spent a considerable amount of time having "phone counselling" with Tim, he was very helpful well informed and patient with me and nothing was too much trouble. I left the store far better informed and with an action plan to solve my problems) A couple of days later after getting no further with my issue, there was a further development and I called into the store again. As Tim was not available, I was assisted by Luke. I found Luke to be understanding, helpful and supportive and he was really helpful. As it appears I had been mis-sold a phone by the first CPW store, Luke and his Manager agreed to allow me to return the phone. Really impressed with Briggate store and found Customer service to be at it's finest on both of my visits. Have previously kind of avoided CPW as it always seems so full of happening young cool guys and that's just the staff) Would fully recommend the Team here to all and especially Tim and Luke, well done Guys!

And at a fraction of the cost of a new phone it is well worth it! Unless of course you are the type who prizes above all else the fact that they always have the newest, flashiest, top of the range paper thin gleaming device (that can no longer really be called a 'phone') complete with interplanetary messenger service and pop up teleportation booth and pimped to the max with cute little accessories and cocooned in a protective case. In which case you may also fancy a jaunt down to The Phone Clinic where you can pick up a range of phone makeover accessories that will ensure that your baby doesn't resemble anyone else's (unless they've been down to Phone Clinic or similar and plumped for the same glittery pink phone case)!

What I tend to find is that the owners of these shops are actually very friendly indeed, and furthermore, know what they're doing! How they learned their skills is best unanswred, but nevertheless, for cheap accessories that don;t cost the earth, as they tend to from phone shops, Phone Clinic is your best bet. Just look out for the quality of some of the items, as they might not be top notch.

What this shop lacks in size it makes up for in gadgets and gizmos, stocking all the quirky mobile phone related regalia that one might covet for one's mobile telephone! After all, the shop is called 'Rocking Mobile Phones and Accessories', and if you could rock out with your mobile phone this is where you would do it best. They also do mobile repairs, replacement batteries and any other general mobile-handyman style requests. A useful shop to know about, especially with such unreliable technologies as mobile phones. Mine died recently and had I not destroyed it in a fit of rage, 'twas the third time mine Sony Eriksson hath died proper, this would have been my first port of call. I hate Sony Eriksson, that's official. Their useless K800i is good for naught but firewood, and even in that task it would be utterly useless and bad for the environment. Grah. Anywho - Rocking Mobile Phones and Accessories is pretty rockin'. Aw yeah!

For the record, it probably wasn't Howard, I just like to think I'm speaking to that annoying man - it makes me vent my banking-based frustration at an even higher pitch. Nice. This capitulation of my Nokia 6500c happens all too often. And I suddenly decided that it was because of my means of charging it. Not that it's just a phone with a poor battery life because I go on Twitter all the time. Where else would anyone go if they had a charger to buy? Nope, not the Orange shop. Not Phones4U. Not Carphone Warehouse. Rocking Mobile Phones, oh fo sho. The man's a genius. I managed to haggle. I have a working charger. Not a proper official Nokia one, a cheaper one, thanks. Rememnber my frustration with Howard? He'll appreciate the pennies I saved. My battery life is still rubbish though. The End.

Con artists, I ended up taking these windowlickers to court and won…read more I bought an iPhone online and through this particular shop and as it was my first contract had no problems for a year. I got speaking to someone else with the same phone and realised I was paying more than I should be. I found out from O2 when I queried my account that Carphone Warehouse had signed me up for a more expensive contract with O2 than I had requested, should have been £35 a month but Carphone Warehouse had put me on £45 a month. O2 refused to do anything and would not amend my tariff. O2 refused to speak to Carphone Warehouse, and Carphone Warehouse refused to speak to O2. I supplied Carphone Warehouse with my original email order confirmation numerous times, by screengrab, jpg, pdf, word doc, text file and brass rubbing, as I had ordered online and the phone came from this local shop. Carphone Warehouse told me I was wrong, and even accused me of falsifying the email order confirmation. I said if they did not amend my tariff with O2 and refund me my money I would take them to court. This went on for the best part of a year. Prior to court Carphone Warehouse instructed their solicitor to send me sinister letters saying I would not win and I was at fault. They also falsified a witness statement from an employee of Carphone Warehouse I had never dealt with, trying to intimidate me with legal bull. As the court date got closer they attempted to pay me off by offering about £100 which I refused as I was owed over five times the amount as O2 were demanding me to pay off the contract in full which I refused to do. When the court date came Carphone Warehouse did not even bother turning up which annoyed the judge presiding the case who had some choice words for them. I won. If they had simply amended my tariff, apologised and refunded me it would not have cost them thousands in expensive solicitors fees. They are as thick as mince. O2 are also at fault here as they refused to amend my tariff even after seeing proof of the email order confirmation. O2 passed the account to TWO debt collection agencies who I had to fend off stating that there was nothing they could do as this was going through court. After I won I emailed O2 three times to say I had the money and it would be transferred when I had received a letter of apology and the debt recalling from the debt collection agencies and wiping. O2 were more concerned to get me back on the same contract which I told them to foxtrot oscar. The customer service at both companies is pathetic. You could train chimps that eat their own crap to do a better job. Minus 500 stars.
