Roadside Hero with Heart--Saved My Trade-In Called Palmer's…read morefor a quick jump on my frozen Mustang GT in Mechanicsburg sub-zero temps--owner rolled up in 20 min flat for my noon Tesla appointment. Jump didn't take, but he diagnosed the silent starter, got under there, tapped it loose with a hammer, and it roared to life. No fuss, just pro work. Guy's grinding the self-employment life with a hell of a positive attitude and kind heart--stuff like that makes you root for small businesses. He said reviews are everything, so here's mine: 5 stars, highly recommend for reliable, feel-good service.

10 Stars! This company went above and beyond the call of duty! Always answered very courteously…read more Great communication skills! Punctual. Super friendly. Pricing very fair & honest! Not just a tow but a new friend! Highly recommend. This was a scheduled tow for my antique car out of my garage and into storage. A relatively easy job except the rear wheel was seized up and my garage & the storage are tiny so there was a lot of refiguring and maneuvering and this guy can slice an orange in the air blindfolded behind his back! Having been a Safety Director for an all owner operator trucking company years ago and seeing the PMTA Truck Rodeos, this guy could run circles around all of them. I have never seen anyone be able to get so close to a building and be able to maneuver around in an alley like he did! Just amazing! He even had to use my jack & push my car to get my car in the storage because none of my buddies were around. Talk about above and beyond!!!

Very disappointing experience…read more On July 8th, I contacted Fig's Roadside Rescue because I had a completely flat tire. I had a spare tire with me, but no tools to remove the damaged one. A technician arrived and instead of providing proper help, he began trying to remove the wheel using the wrong tools. The wrench kept slipping, he scratched the rim, and eventually stripped the thread on the lug nut by literally jumping on the wrench with his full body weight. I tried to tell him that something wasn't right, but he rudely said: "Don't interfere. I know what I'm doing. If you keep talking, I'll leave." In the end, he failed to remove the wheel, took a photo, sent it to his supervisor, and left -- after demanding payment, even though he made the situation worse. I had to call a tow truck, pay for a hotel, and wait to get the damage repaired at another shop. Later I contacted the company's supervisor directly, hoping to resolve the issue honestly. But I was shocked when he denied everything, saying that his technician "never touched the wheel" and just "looked at it and left." That is simply not true. I was standing right there and saw everything with my own eyes. The company is now refusing to take any responsibility and is blaming me for damage their technician clearly caused. I do not recommend this company. If something goes wrong, they will not help you -- they will just lie and leave you to deal with the consequences. I have photos of the damaged wheel and scratched rim after their technician's visit. If anyone would like to see them, I'm happy to share.

AAA continues to apply their "not my problem" magic wand to everything…read more.. I'm officially finished with the runaround. AAA reached out here on Yelp claiming they would "investigate this," but their actual response was a carbon-copy experience of my original complaint: more deflections and more attempts to offload responsibility onto other departments. After being told to email them, I received a reply from their "Member Relations Coordinator" essentially stating it wasn't his problem and directing me back to a phone line. When I requested a simple email contact for the "correct" department to avoid more hours of asking some robot to transfer me to a real agent, they went silent. (shocked pikachu face) Their office's reply to me: "You have contacted AAA Central Penn... You are a member of Mid-Atlantic AAA. Please contact them to resolve your concern... Have a good day." -- David Gardner III My response to them: "I have no desire to navigate your phone systems to resolve this matter. If your office is not the correct point of contact, please provide me with the email address for the appropriate department... As previously mentioned, the service call in question occurred within the Harrisburg, PA region, which is why I contacted your office." The bottom line: I was ready to move on, but this performative "outreach" followed by the same miserable fumbling has convinced me that this is a systemic issue. Your systems appear designed to frustrate customers into giving up. Since you've made it clear you won't handle this internally, I am elevating this entire exchange to the Better Business Bureau and the State Bureau of Consumer Protections. I wonder if your organization will find the "correct department" once state regulators are the ones asking the questions. I am done playing middle-man for your offices. Shame. PS Yelp... it is time for the zero star feature
