In the York, PA area visiting family and noticed this comic shop that was open on a Monday. Decided…read moreto stop by and check it out. Wow! This is one of the nicest comic/action figure/misc stores I have ever seen. Layouts were clear and grouped by interest. Displays were carefully designed with the collector in mind. The amount of stock is great, especially back issues. I saw something I've never seen before - ECs from the 50s!! One area that I am still collecting. Most stores only carry the later reprints. Nice, but none that I need at the time. There are separate displays for comics, magazines, action figures, sals items, suggested reading, and a nice area just for kids with a great selection. The manager was helpful, and very knowledgeable, and we had great conversations. There are multiple areas marked for sales prices, including several boxes of low priced comics and magazines. And especially of note: I read recently of the difficulty of finding new packs of Pokemon cards. Some dealers were charging $9 to $13 for the new packs, due to shortages. Comic Store West has them for $6, with a limited amount you can buy. That alone tells me a lot about caring and watching out for the consumer. If you are in the York area looking for comics, this should definitely be your first stop! Highly recommended.

After trying nearly a dozen comic/game shops in the York-Lancaster-Harrisburg area, I can tell you…read morethat Comic Store West is my favorite. It has a bit of everything and the staff is always pleasant. Prices are reasonable compared to other local shops and they gladly order an extra copy of something just for you if you let them know in advance.

Here's why you should love them too: If you like technology and need a cheaper charger, phone cover, adapter plug etc - they got you covered! Do yoga, jog, light weights, or just need a new water bottle? Come here! Like to draw, doodle, need new colored pencils for art school, or into the new adult coloring craze? They got stuff for all your artsy needs! Like to play old school game favorites with your grandkids or looking to try some new board games? The selection here is massive. Like to organize, decorate, stay with the trends or need supplies for the holidays? Shop no further. See Five below isn't just for tweens & teens...there's something here for everyone. But if you do have a tween/teen they will love it too! Or if you are looking for gifts on a budget or stocking stuffers you got one stop shopping. I have no idea how they offer the loot they have at those prices. While this store is almost perfect there is a few things that could be improved. Take note: you can't return things here unless they are clearly defective and you have the receipt...even than it's a hassle. Check out line is always line, worse at holidays. In fact the holidays it's insane, think Black Friday every single day crazy. If you are not a fan of tween antics stay away. The store is full of tweens lingering, giggling and taking up isle space. You've been warned. Otherwise hit them up, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Theyre warm and make you feel welcomed EVERY SINGLE TIME you come. I cant recommend it enough. Fun and friendly place to be. Table costs about $8 an hour or $20 for the entire day. You cant really beat those prices. Love this place.

Club Med can be a little hard to find if you have no idea where you're going. I was told "it's…read moreover behind the Harrisburg Mall" and forced to find it on my own. Eventually, I did, but I chalk that up to my Carthaginian Explorer's sense of direction. If you have a Persian sense of direction *ahem* and accidently direct people to the pentagon, you'd never find it. Once you know where you're going, you begin to figure out how to get those covetted front parking spots, that seem to be a million miles closer to the door than the rest of the lot. Close parking is both an artform and a science, and at Club Med, it's crucial, because it seems like during the winter months, the wind blows just a little bit stronger on the East side of South Harrisburg. I also think it happens to swell up in the driveway, in the only place that the gym doesn't shelter from the wind. Club Med has a little over 20 pool tables. They have a pretty red one and an even prettier blue one. There is a back room that is non-smoking. However, I've never been in there, because let's face it, I can't put out my cigarette long enough to walk back there. The juke box is relatively well stocked, and if it's slow, and you go there often enough, the owner will hook you up with some change to put in and play a few jams. On Friday and Saturday nights however, it's usually stocked an hour ahead with 50 cent songs played by middle school and high school kids who go there so they can smoke. The whole place isn't packed with kids, but they definitely make up a substantial proportion of the clientelle. Other major groups include the skeezy old men who gamble on billiards and Asians who, as if they hadn't impressed us enough with their mathematical and breakdancing abilities, had to go and be amazing at pool too. The highlight of Club Med is definitely the owner, and his staff, who I believe are all family. They are wonderful people, and they will always go out of their way to make sure you're having a good time in their establishment. Club Med also has a small snack bar which includes sodas, hot dogs, (i believe) nachos, and CANDY! Airheads and Root beer make any game of 8-ball complete!
