I have NOT bought a Car since 2006 and was never the type to Keeping Up with the Jones. Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. As I continued to drive it out to where I had to go the Check Engine light went on. I had this problem before which is an Engine Misfire. On one of the Sparkplugs and Cylinders. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. All in All I only spent $400 and my engine was running great. Please come over here! He won't rip you off with Lies about the car! 5 stars in my book especially coming from Chicago, IL.

The California hotshot mechanics who worked on classic cars couldn't find my exhaust leak in time for the trip, and I had to drive that trip with no heat and the windows partly open due to the leak. That was brutal, but we made it! Just to ensure we knew Rochester was as far as she wanted to go, she started growling and screaming as soon as we got here. I knew what I had to do. I looked up all the auto mechanics in town to find an old soul who'd owned, driven and worked on full-size Broncos back in the day. Yes, I found Joe, and he, unlike all the others I asked in California and across the country, found the leaks, hidden away, and welded them shut blind. He gave me a good deal for the time it took, and it's not given me trouble since then. I recommend Joe for vehicles requiring an old pro, someone who takes their time to do the job right, and someone who cares about giving you a great result that will last. I can't say more because I don't want you to expect his above and beyond, but he was fantastic!

After having some bad experiences there I started going here…read more I've since gotten rid of the VW, but have continued taking all my cars to Ace for oil changes and everything else. Their pricing is reasonable, the staff are helpful, professional, and nice. They also work on all makes/models. They fixed the VW many times, and now have done jobs on my Prius (oil changes, new coolant flow control valve) and my Ford (oil changes, new intake manifold) The only downside I can think of is that they can get very busy (probably because they're so good), So sometimes they have to schedule you a week out or more. They are always willing to explain more about any job/issue and will take you out and show you what they fixed if you ask. The charges are reasonable and you can always get an estimate before any work is done. I recommend Ace to anyone needing automotive work.

On the day of appointment I left the vehicle with the understanding it would be ready in 48 hours. 48 hours later the dealership had not even started on the repair. I removed the vehicle and delivered it to Miller Transmission about 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The next morning I received a call saying the repair was complete. The Ford dealership was telling me how expensive the repair would be. Miller Transmission charged about $140 for the repair. The vehicle runs perfectly and I am well satisfied. eh
