My husband and I are from out of town and are staying in town for work. We have majority of our belongings stored in our vehicle because I had just arrived. As our clothes were washing we decided to organize the vehicle a bit so it wasn't in disarray. Mind you the business was about to close in 30 mins when we started organizing our vehicle. It's the end of the day and customers are slowed. I'm guessing by the way he acted that he was the owner. The owner came out and berated us and told us in a very rude tone to take our stuff to the car wash because he didn't want us taking up the space next to us. Then, continued on saying he "hates people like that", that it's disgusting when people are disrespectful (referring to us). Treating us like we're inhuman. We were being as quick as possible and actually did consider our surroundings. He could've been less rude and embarrassing by telling a woman and her granddaughter how much "hate" he has towards people like me and my husband. They look d uncomfortable by the behavior as well. He was fuming. Also, almost got into another tiff with a woman over bringing her laundry in and not drying it fast enough. Very unwelcoming, unprofessional, and I would not recommend if you're not from the area.

Yesterday at 6:00pm (after business hours, of course) we discovered that the reason we were cold was that we had no propane and therefore no heat, cooking, or hot water. The lady we talked with was very apologetic and assured us we would have a fill tomorrow, (today). We called this morning and they again said they would get someone here ASAP. It's after 1:00. No call, no sign of them. We called and asked when we were scheduled; no return call. Of course we can only talk to a machine, so we have no idea what to expect. I don't know what is most troubling, the insensitivity to our pleas or the lack of communication, both between the company and ourselves and the company systems. Either way we lose.

He auctioned off my unit but the buyer hadn't picked it up yet so Alex told me I could pay for it and keep my unit. Upon arriving to pay Alex, the person who bought my unit was loading my things onto a trailer and was a very pleasant person. After I found Alex, he tried telling me that he can't let me have my things because he was wrong telling me I could pay and keep my unit. Alex came screaming at me while I was talking to the person who purchased my unit as if he was the police. This place is NOT a place to use and not the 1st issue we've had with Sturgis Storage but the 2nd. Alex needs to be fired and reprimanded for his behavior. Alex does NOT know what he is doing!! This is the worst storage place ever.. The 1st time we used Sturgis Storage in 2015, the unit door suddenly slammed down with 4 ppl in it and the youngest one stuck in the unit was 11 yrs old and almost hit by the run down units door.
