As a lover of trains, I'd even consider taking the trip from Hamburg. The service is excellent, the food very good, and the prices are quite reasonable. We started with the baked feta (brilliant) and the antipasto plate. Both very good. My wife enjoyed her lasagna and I went for the steak with Gorgonzola. Again, both very tasty. A very good selection at the bar, both wine and beer as well as cocktails. Very nice choices of locally brewed beers both in bottles and on tap.

The service was very nice and efficient and the food we ordered was great: the penne with ham in a creamy sauce was copious and very fine and tasty, a nice touch being the fried rucola on top. My soon to be daughter in law had a vegetarian dish, a salad which she was very pleased with and my stepson had a typical northern german dish ( I think) a 'sauerfleisch', 3 big slices of meat in gelly which he found excellent. A place to recommend, and as we live not far we will definitely return there when we are back in this lovely harbour town next to the danish border.
