Lio is an experience. I wasn't sure what to expect and in the end it was very fun. First off, it is very expensive but remember you are getting dinner and a 3 hour nonstop show. My critique would be they could give us a few minutes to relax between performances but they keep going. The view of the water and castle are beautiful. The food also is top notch. The tuna cones and sushi were high grade. The lasagna was ok and the chocolate bar was a lovely finish to the meal. The prices are insane I will repeat but it was a fun night. By the end you will be out of your chair dancing but will have a hefty bill to pay. read more

Just a warning I went 2 years ago and again this week, and it went from a very female burlesque type show to an 80% male show. Some of the men in my party weren't expecting a show that seems more targeted to a gay audience. The level of talent and showmanship is next level. Props and costumes and set are 10/10. read more

Yes, yes, yes! This place is a must when in Ibiza. Usually for places like this, there's a compromise between good food and good entertainment. This was not the case, whatsoever, with Lío. The food was absolutely delicious and the entertainment was amazing. All of this obviously comes at a cost. Our minimum was £270 per person. We still had a few hundred to spend, so about half of us ordered dessert and/or drinks. The restaurant sits on the water, so you get a beautiful view of the marina, yachts, and ocean. Theres beautiful decor and many photo ops, including in their spacious bathroom. For dinner, I ordered a basic salmon sushi roll for starters. I can't remember the name, but I've included a picture. For the entree, Scallops & Caviar with asparagus and menuiere sauce. It was so delicious! My only complaint is that I could've had more. Dessert was an Apricot & Mango sorbet topped with some sort of crust. It was tart, sweet and perfect for my palate. Be forewarned that if you order the lobster with "potato spirals" they mean potato chips. There were a couple of confused looks on our group's faces when their food came out lol. For drinks, I can't remember the name of the first (their menu is hard to find online), but I liked it. It was topped with egg white and was also tart and bitter. I also had my first espresso martini there and have joined the fan club. I believe they added Kahlua because it was sweet. The wait staff was excellent. Be warned that it is a busy event, so they may not be as attentive, but they were great nonetheless. The show was amazing! The performers and the engagement with the crowd truly made this an experience to remember. I was there with a large party (15) and reserved one of the sections at the top. Because of this, we were asked to participate in the show every time "Mama Say, Mama Sa" played. A group of their dancers came and taught us a dance, before our food arrived, and asked us to perform it. We loved it! We stood up each time and put on our own little show. read more

Really disappointed in the entire experience. The show was mediocre and felt like a karaoke show. I've seen better free shows in Las Vegas and better burlesque at dive bars. Lío was easily one of the most expensive dinners of my life. Expect to pay a minimum of about $300 a person. What makes it a value is the cabaret show that comes along with it. The meal is structured with the show, so expect dinner to last from about 9pm to midnight. If you were going here for a "normal" dinner you will be thrown off. You're here for a unique experience. This place gets a lot of hype, so I ventured out for dinner on a Friday night at their Vintage event. I called beforehand and was told that I should still be able to find a seat and order food at the bar, as all tables were reserved. Upon arriving, the doorman informed me that I could not eat there, claiming there was no more dining space even at the bar. He said I could still pay to watch the cabaret show and stay for the club afterwards (70€ entrance with one drink included). I figured with all the hype, why not? So I paid the entrance fee and bought a ticket. Here's the first docked star: despite my attempts to hide my credit card PIN entry while paying for my entrance fee, I caught the doorman very clearly looking over my shoulder to watch me enter my PIN. Future patrons, beware! Right after entering Lio, I immediately called my bank and had my PIN changed. Shady doorman. The cabaret show was good, similar to a Vegas or cruise ship variety show. There was one actor/singer in particular that was very talented, with a voice ranging from the female lead in Phantom of the Opera to Michael Jackson to Bob Marley. Quite impressive. I docked a second star because I discovered you could actually still order food at the bar, despite the doorman's statement to the contrary. So of course I ordered the ribeye. It was a decent steak by Spain standards, but not on par with US steakhouses. At the end of my meal, at the recommendation of the bartender, I ordered one of their chocolate desserts, with rose petal infused gelatin. I was skeptical of the rose petals, but the dessert as a whole was tasty. So aside from the doorman, the service (from bartender) was great. The post-show club was cool, like any other club but with an older crowd (30+). However, it gets very hot, very quickly, so dress accordingly. To sum, my negative experiences at Lio all resulted from their doorman. First, for explicitly watching me input my credit card PIN, and second, for telling me I would not be able to dine there under any circumstances. My attached photos belie his claim. In the end, maybe it's Lio's policy to make those claims in order to earn extra €€€€ from double dipping on both the food and entrance markups? Who knows. read more

I'm going to try and figure out how to explain my experience through written word. I walk into the opulence of what is I assume a restaurant? Or a show? Or medieval times for wealthy Europeans ? AKA Lìo. AKA Garbägé. Upon walking in it's pretty intense and you are just in awe of everything around you. your hopes are so high that the sound of a dying seal but what is more commonly referred to as a "performer" is singing let it go from frozen, and you actually don't mind. Clearly you haven't seen the menu yet at this point and you sit down to what you obviously have to assume will be an amazing meal! ...right? You are handed a bottle list menu and you are obviously waiting for them to hand you the right menu because these are bottle service prices as if my team just won an NBA championship but ok fine someone is dying or "singing" in the background and I'm willing to make excuses to justify what I see. You sift through 14 pages and then get some cava for under 100 euro , basically the only thing you can get, which i am mostly ok with. Of course it tastes pretty whatever but you are just glad you didn't mortgage the house and tell your kids that they don't need to go to a good college. Now we go on to the dinner menu which is a spectacle in and of itself. It has about 27 pages but only 12 of them are in relation to the language that you speak so that's positive. You then have a ton of bricks hit you when a Cesar salad is Like 70 euro and it won't even feed a dozen ants. The waiter recommended that we share, but since i had already seen the hunger games I figured that we would split up in two's and share between each other much to their dismay. It's pretty hilarious that they think this is a sharing concept of a restaurant. We decide to keep it at 100€ per person not including drinks and so I ordered some mixed seafood dish, a something else (that didn't arrive ever ) and a mini pizza. The waiter said the mini pizza was small I thought duh but he really wasn't messing around. The fish was so forgettable I think perhaps I fell asleep while I ate it because I have no recollection. The mini pizza you ask ? It was literally a CRACKER with a quail egg and 3 dots of caviar I was so blown away along with the rest of my group that we all took pictures with it. That was also subsequently the best part of the show as there is now some comedy gag and cross dressing. With this 22 euro cracker in front of us however no one could concentrate on the cirque de soleil drop outs on stage. The other food that came actually didn't and the people at my table got cold food which they agreed was cold thank god. At this point we where all looking around at our inedible food and this cluster F of a performance just trying to figure out how the hell we could get out of here. We asked for the check and had to ask for them to take off the stuff that was totally inedible. They of course said we need to talk to the manager which made us really excited because we would love to tell them that we had never seen a congregation of sophisticated people from all over the world who had all lost their ability to taste and hear. He never showed and they ended up taking it off. We paid very reluctantly but where so happy to leave that it was what we considered an exit fee. To clarify none of us mind paying a lot of money for food, being from Los Angeles and having gone to many expensive restaurants this wasn't our issue. This wasn't an expensive restaurant this was a Bernie Madoff esque scam to siphon money for a view and a "show" with trash food. It is no surprise that the outside smells like a sewer because I believe this is truly where they drew all of their inspiration from. read more

As someone who was excited to go to IBIZA ... I would like to say LÍO was a make it or break it moment for my opinion about the city and let me tell you - i was gravely disappointed. My friends and I had the displeasure of "tipping" someone 300 € for getting a reservation at LÍO. Little did we know that we were being reeled into a dinner and show. As people who enjoy quality meals we know this lethal combination to be a COMPLETE TRAP. However we still have this "restaurant" the benefit of doubt. At first glance LíO seemed to be a perfect fit for our group - it was exclusive - full of beautiful europeans and had Yatch/Marina views . This restaurant turned out to be the exact stereotype of why people choose to not travel to Europe. Haughty attitudes from servers in figure skating outfits and subpar cuisines from chefs who are still on their cigarette break. Having been to many island destinations around the world i am well aware that you end up paying a premium just based on remote access and availability. LíO was the most expensive meal we had as a group in all of Spain - and what's more hurtful is that we dined at Michelin rated restaurants and stayed at SOHO House spending a fraction and getting 100 times more for our money. The money is not even the issue. The entire place was a decorated with left overs from what looked like a cirque de soleil production in 2001. If i had one of celine dions production assistants cook the meal at this restaurant i would have probably left with a better taste in my mouth. Also offensive was the adjacency to the phillip plein and guissepe zanotti stores ... a store in a restaurant that's open till 2am ? should have known right then and there that this would have been something out of a low budget rap video. The level of pretentiousness at this place was unreal in the most gauche and nouveau riche way. Garish decor aside, all the menu items were swimming in truffle oil (the only thing the chef must have learned to use in his training). Items were labeled with names like "ROLLS ROYCE OF SUSHI ROLLS" pandering to the type of audience that probably takes photographs next to expensive cars in hopes of being behind the wheel on day. The menu itself could be likened to a Greatest Hits karaoke album - Cesar Salad , Truffle Pasta, Truffle risotto , Kobe beef burger . Nothing new , nothing imaginative , all over priced beyond belief. Amateur hour in the kitchen continued as EVERY SINGLE DISH came out cold to luke warm ... with risotto that looked like sticky rice and beef cheeks on udon that needed their own ASPCA musical score - it was all TRÉS TRÉS TRAGÍQUE. Portions were very inconsistent. The rocket salad was literally rocket leaves in a bowl with a drizzle of dressing. L O L . Ashton Kutcher on his best episode of PUNK'd couldn't have pulled this off. The mini pizza . WHAT A FUCKING JOKE . THEY LITERALLY BROUGHT OUT A CRACKER WITH AN EGG. A SAD SINGLE CRACKER. ONE CRACKER , JUST ONE - that the waiter was clearly ok with recommending all items to be shared as he made a blanketed statement in the beginning of our meal saying "everything is to share". Moving onto "THE BEST CROWD IN IBIZA" , Although moderately well dressed and attractive at first glance, this audience was a congregation of middle age and above "euro basura" looking for a cabaret show in a sea of EDM day clubs. Older men with their bellys popping through linen brioni shirts picking up on women in their late thirties who only go to the gym to stay active on tinder. All the really attractive and young people were employed by the restaurant. From the hostesses to the waiters, and even the performers the place was a cemetery for failed modeling, singing,and acting careers. R I P , especially to the girl who was cast to sing ADELE's "hello" - GIRL YOU TRIED IT. IF i wanted to watch the worst American Idol auditions in history i would have stayed at home and youtubed them myself. Eardrums bruised, Tastebuds disappointed, we asked to speak to the manager who never came by our table. Once the waitress realized we were displeased she tersely dropped a plate or two in front of us before wrapping up the meal. This is exactly why European destinations are becoming undesirable- as dependent as they are on tourism - they refuse to respect the unspoken rules of hospitality. In Asia you would have gotten the meal comped and a thousand apologies, here we got ignored and pushed to the side like a mini pizza at LÍO - just disrespectful. It is not often that both the service and food are bad at a restaurant- usually one balances out the other. however here at LíO they've hit the holy trinity of BAD SERVICE , BAD FOOD , HORRIBLE SHOW. This place was the biggest joke in all of Spain. Rule of thumb ... if a place in Europe feels like its imitating LAS VEGAS , it's in trouble- run , just run the other way. what a waste , what a disappointment . read more

Knowing their overhead is high with all the people involved between staff, performers, back out of the house, front of the house, etc etc. But whatcha gonna do? Go to Burger King if you're cheap, you're there for the overall experience.. But that's my only nay say. We stayed late after dinner, for the club portion, but we were ultimately moved twice, for people wanting our table, and yes, maximize revenue, but don't act like we didn't spend money at dinner. read more

Amazing show, but terrible food. Dinner and show... you get there around 9pm. There is a minimum spend of 180 euro per person to come to the show. I suggest getting a few safe apps, and then spending the rest of the $$ on drinks... it's not hard at all! The drinks are 28 euro. The restaurant is great if not concerned with conversation. The restaurant serves a delicious variety for the most sophisticated of palettes. Valet can be a bit of a pain especially with the recent expansion of the surrounding shops. The views are unbeatable, sparkling lights of Ibiza town shine across the indigo water. The space is massive and open air/sea on the stage side. Three full size bars, dance floor, and VIPs galore. Also a pretty cute ladies boutique at the entry! High costs for expensive tastes. This is the worst restaurant I have been to in my life. I wouldn't feed this to my dog, nor would I eat this if I was starved on an island for a week. Our food was ice cold, and when we let them know our food was cold they brought out new plates and they were only luke warm. I don't mind paying for quality food, but 100euros for gelatinized beef cheeks with cold and overcooked udon noodles, in a salt bath of a sauce is enough for me to send my food back because I couldn't eat it. I ordered grilled vegetables which to my surprise looked like freezer bag veggies that were lightly blanched. I also ordered an €88 steak that was so chewy, I could likely get a better quality and tasting one at home town buffet. 2 dishes never arrived, and last but not least, they charged for the bread basket that they brought to the table but we never ordered. Calling this place a restaurant is a bit misleading. It's an entertainment venue with sexy super models attempting to be waiters. The employees are smoking hot but that's the only thing hot here because our food was served cold. We assumed the dishes would be high quality given the price but you should be aware that the prices are extremely high because of the entertainment not the quality of food. The service, although great to look at, was lackluster. Plates were taken without even asking if we were finished. Main dishes such as the Taj Mahal chicken were completely forgotten about. The beef cheeks were frankly disgusting. The pizza with quail egg is actually a cracker with an egg on it. The truffle pasta was decent, but that may be because it was drenched in truffle. Just because truffle is expensive doesn't mean drenching everything in truffle makes everything taste better. We ordered mashed potatoes and had no idea there was truffle in it when ordering it. Had we known that we would not have ordered it with our truffle pasta. I understand truffle is nice but I don't need surprises. I can begin imagine how many would be distracted by the half naked employees dancing every 3 minutes but if anyone actually cares about what they eat they should definitely avoid this place. The music is too loud to get an order in, the menu is extremely confusing and took a good 20 min to realize they're repeating their dishes and reorganizing it by some of their stupid names. This has to be one of the worst dinner experiences ever. The entertainment here was pretty bad it was like a luxury strip tease accompanied by some dude who tries to fit through a toilet. The bathroom sinks don't even function properly. However, given the half naked models in this place and dope yacht views, I'll give it two stars because I can imagine bringing some Europeans with low expectations of entertainment for a good time. This was the absolute worst 'restaurant' i have ever been to based on several factors. All the food was given to my table cold, it tasted like garbage, and we were even charged €12 per person for a pathetic bread basket that we never even requested. I also ordered a pizza which turned out to be a Ritz cracker with the smallest quail egg and a tiny spiz of caviar. It was all overpriced and disgusting. The place has a beautiful view and wonderful dancers/entertainment however besides that the service is horrible and the food was not good at all. Also, the waiter assumes how you want your steak and does not ask. My steak came out dripping blood and I had to send it back. The waiter spilled my entire glass of wine and it was not replaced instead she was extremely rude. Overall, it is not worth the money think twice before coming here. read more

This review is past due, but it's better to do this later than never. We actually went to Ibiza around May 20th this year. We decided to go around this time because the opening party for Ushuaia(the hotel we stayed at) was that weekend. However, it moved to the following week. We could not rebook. We decided to make the most out of the trip by planning in advance what we wanted to do. One of the places highlighted to visit was, the Lio, which sits on a Marina. We went on a Friday and it was very elegant. The decor inside is very upscale and so were many of the people. Everyone had on their best dresses, heels, collared shirts, and shoes. We had a lovely booth with velvet plush seating. The drinks were very good and so was the food. The entertainment was wonderful as well. I liked how the performers whispered a song in our ears. Lol. Overall, this place is expensive, you must spend at least $200-$300 per person because this includes, food, drinks, entertainment, and for the club afterwards. Overall, I would go back. Oh yes, you must book in advance. read more
