The theater is always clean and their concession stand is a lot more extensive compared to other theaters. They have Cheeto popcorn that I've been wanting to try. The only thing I'm being picky about is the signs at the theater doors don't tell you what movie you are seeing. We almost walked into a random theater thinking it's our movie but it wasn't. Also, Tuesdays are Cinemark Discount Tuesdays, which is nice if you want to watch a film in 3D or D-BOX at a cheaper rate, but they fill up quicker than other days. First, the Kiosk was out of paper, and the display screen said to go to the window wth a cashier. So, we selected our seats and paid. Upon entering the lobby, we smelled the popcorn and saw all the food options, and I asked for the Cinemark Caption device that fits into the cup holder. The theater didn't have anyone checking tickets, so we grabbed our 3D glasses and looked for the right showtime. Next, the captioning device was set to the wrong theater number for Spider-Man, so I missed the four or five trailers for upcoming movies. The theater was clean, and we liked that it had a wall separating the rows, which is awesome because there is always some inconsiderate person who can't stay off their phone and annoys everyone with a bright, glowing light as they text or play games. In closing, I wish Cinemark would offer open captions because lots of people like them, even those without hearing loss, because they help them make sense of what's happening especially with low talkers. It's another way of telling the story, and lots of people like it even if they don't need it as an access requirement.

Old movies, new runs, gorgeous space, fabulous service, a good bar, and the best popcorn in town. Now being run as a non-profit, I can't think of a better place to spend an afternoon or evening. Too often we are losing these types of theaters to big box, multi-plexes with no charm and no vibe. The seats might be cushier but the experience is lacking. The Kentucky has style and Lexington is lucky to have it.

(I actually prefer it over Fandango because it offers better benefits, like exclusive deals and easier navigation). They've been getting really creative with how they enhance the movie-going experience--Tuesday movies for just $6 with free popcorn all day is a huge win! Plus, they regularly market for sporting events, offer $7 tickets before 4 pm every day, and have some fun promotions like mystery movie Mondays and passports to watch entire movie series. I'm not big on ordering food, drinks, or snacks when I go so I can't really speak to the service. But the Dolby sound system and the comfy seats make every film feel immersive. The theater is always super clean, and if you're not into chatting with employees, you can easily walk in, find your seat, and leave without any interaction--everything's streamlined to make it hassle-free.

My husband and I hadn't been to the movies in quite some time. Maybe even a year. Anyway. It was our anniversary and we wanted to do something easy. Dinner and a movie. Top Gun was the movie pick. Our original plan was to go to our regular hangout, Brannon Crossing, but we decided to give the Lex Live theater a try. I cannot even tell you how absolutely amazing it was! We had never been there and we were so shocked at how fantastic it was. Seeing Top Gun back in 1986 was awesome but uh--todays was insane. The seats RUMBLED as the fighter jets took off on the screen. I cannot wait to go back and see other movies there. We doubt we'll go anywhere else from here on out. Next time we plan on eating at the restaurant, maybe grabbing a beer at the bar before going to the show. Oh! And bowling! Crazy cool. Go! Go now! You will not be disappointed! After 15 min of waiting for her to drop off menus we immediately ordered from a card that was left on the table by a previous person. Then our food got put on the counter and she walked over and saw it but instead of delivering it to us she saw her friend with their baby and went and visited them and held the baby for a minimum of 12 min. My daughter saw our order. After the baby visit she still did not bring the food she went and gave people their bills. I was about to get up and go get our food ourselves but she walked to it grabbed the order and walked around the bar like we did not exist, again I had to wave her down. Our hamburgers and cheese ballls were now cold but we had a concert starting soon so we ate the cold food. Waited 10 more minutes for a bill, asked for a bill she told me to wait. Kept waiting so I pulled out the cash and figured up our total with tax tracked down a manager and told her how horrible our experience was and how long we had been waiting to pay w/o a bill and we had to go. Finally she got the girl to get us a bill. Never offered a refill excuses made for waitress that was too overwhelmed but not to overwhelmed to sit and play with a baby , I had to track waitress down multiple times because she could not find us in front of her face. I am giving it a 1 start because either I was starving or the burgers were good. There was just 2 of us so not a big party. 0 stars for service and customer service of management.

Very well set up, incredibly organized and the environment is very encouraging. The staff are very great with the kids and work them hard!! I have seen a lot of positive direction in her ballet technique and she grows every year. Kentucky Ballet Theatre has soo much to offer!! Private lessons, intensives during the summer, prepoint evaluations for their students, as well as other technique classes are offered.

I'm not one to fat shame, but the worst offender was the very corpulent dancer in the first act. I assumed him to be someone's dad until I saw him listed as the "artistic director"...wow!!
