I even switched subscriptions after only one visit! It was that good. Their seats not only recline but they have a back warmer setting; the AC is not freezing cold at all times; they have a lot of cashiers; and the BEST, most amazing part is that you can order snacks from your seat through their app! Call me old, but I don't think I've seen that anywhere else except with a more high end chain. You can also DoorDash their food and snacks to your home... but I hope you understand what I am trying to tell which is they are probably the best value theatre around. Old movies, new runs, gorgeous space, fabulous service, a good bar, and the best popcorn in town. Now being run as a non-profit, I can't think of a better place to spend an afternoon or evening. Too often we are losing these types of theaters to big box, multi-plexes with no charm and no vibe. The seats might be cushier but the experience is lacking. The Kentucky has style and Lexington is lucky to have it.

This was a promotional event by Legion M, which is the world's first fan owned entertainment company.The feature was the documentary, directed by Alexandre O. Philippe will give fans a glimpse into the legendary actor's life and career in the entertainment industry. The event will also featured a live hour-long Q&A session with Shatner. Shatner was humorour, insightful and compassionate in this wonderful tributate to the man. He is a inspiratation, demostrating a unquie zest for life grounded in his personal philosphy of "living in the now." The event was emceed by Doug and Lyssa High by ABC 36 News. Kentucky Theater is always our first choice for seeing movies in Lexington. The seats are not ultra plush and reclining, but they are comfortable. The overall theater experience is great. The staff is always so accomdating and willing to help resolve any issues. A true tresure, that is a prime event venue.

They were personable, spoke to my daughter and included her in our discussion about the movie we are seeing and the menu, offered us advice about their favs, and were a really great representation of what Movie Tavern should be looking for in employees. Great job both of you, and really to the entire team. This place has gotta a lot better in the 7 years I've been coming here. A dad and his daughter really appreciate it.

My husband and I hadn't been to the movies in quite some time. Maybe even a year. Anyway. It was our anniversary and we wanted to do something easy. Dinner and a movie. Top Gun was the movie pick. Our original plan was to go to our regular hangout, Brannon Crossing, but we decided to give the Lex Live theater a try. I cannot even tell you how absolutely amazing it was! We had never been there and we were so shocked at how fantastic it was. Seeing Top Gun back in 1986 was awesome but uh--todays was insane. The seats RUMBLED as the fighter jets took off on the screen. I cannot wait to go back and see other movies there. We doubt we'll go anywhere else from here on out. Next time we plan on eating at the restaurant, maybe grabbing a beer at the bar before going to the show. Oh! And bowling! Crazy cool. Go! Go now! You will not be disappointed! Very well set up, incredibly organized and the environment is very encouraging. The staff are very great with the kids and work them hard!! I have seen a lot of positive direction in her ballet technique and she grows every year. Kentucky Ballet Theatre has soo much to offer!! Private lessons, intensives during the summer, prepoint evaluations for their students, as well as other technique classes are offered.
