To those of you who read my post back on August 23rd regarding my car trouble and experience getting road service, the saga continues.
After having my car towed to the Ford dealership and being told they would call me when it was ready, I lost track of the time and didn't realize until they were closed for the day that I never heard back from them. When I called them the next day I was told they had 'forgotten my car was there' and had not even been looked at yet!
Finally, I was told I needed a new starter and was able to pick my car up $422.85 later.
The very next day, my older grandson & I ran up to Wal-Mart, leaving the younger one home alone since he didn't want to come and we would 'be right back' ... imagine my surprise when we returned to my car and it did NOT start! After a few frustrating minutes it started and I thought I had 'done something wrong'. A week later, I had the same frustrating experience but was at home when the car would not start but finally did after 'a lot of praying'! Both incidences occurred AFTER the dealership was closed of course so I could not call them and when the car started fine the next day I 'let it go'!
This morning I took the older grandson to school at 6:30 am and let the younger one sleep in since school doesn't start until 7:50 am. When I returned home, I backed up the driveway instead of pulling forward into the garage, which is my 'norm'. When my grandson and I got into the car I hit auto start on my keypad and nothing happened ... I inserted the key, turned it and you guessed it ... NOTHING! I immediately called LYONS TOWING and then the dealership to let them know what was going on and that we were 'on our way'.
The same young man, Tyler, that picked me up a few weeks ago, arrived at my house within minutes of my call and we immediately recognized one other! He promptly loaded up my car and my grandson and I rode with him to the dealership ... I expressed my concern that he would have to miss school since I couldn't get him there and 'chatted' about hoping the car would be fixed in time to pick my other grandson up from school.
After dropping us off, I asked the service manager if someone could take my grandson & I to his school [so I could sign him in 'late' at the office] and then bring me back to wait for my car. After doing so, I joined several other people in the waiting room back at the dealership.
A short time later, a young lady came into the waiting room with her young daughter and asked for Rosemary. I said 'That's me' and she said, 'My husband said you need to get your grandson to school and I'm here to take you' ... I was flabbergasted to say the least and she continued, saying 'My husband is the tow truck driver that brought you here' .... I was completely speechless and could feel the tears welling up and getting ready to spill over at the thought of this young mans kindness, compassion and consideration while going FAR ABOVE AND BEYOND customer service in showing genuine concern by wanting to make sure my grandson made it to school!
I can never say enough good things about LYONS TOWING or their FINE STAFF, especially TYLER ... thank you from the bottom of my heart! read more
