My husband asked several times what it would cost and never got an answer. We got the final bill we found the coating was $1200. We never would have agreed to putting it down had we known the cost. They also left a mess, there was asphalt all over the lawn and sidewalk. In my opinion, they are unprofessional and sneaky

Then Jimmy gave my dad some sob story that he's got all this asphalt leftover and workers to pay, so he told dad he could patch a few holes in the alley that leads to dad's new driveway. Of course my dad should have seen this was a rip off since it's not his alley nor is it dad's problem Jimmy is left with "extra asphalt ", but just entertaining the idea of trying to separate an 86 year old from his fixed/limited income to the tune of $2000 makes this guy an unscrupulous, unethical, unprofessional dirt bag of a man. He does not deserve your business or your hard earned money. We will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and others. Jimmy, shame on you. You are disgraceful, immoral, corrupt man and a wart on humanity. I'm sure it's hard for your son to find much if any pride in working for someone like you. Sad.

After 1 year I could still put my finger in and peel up blacktop. After multiple calls and texts Joe finally came to look at it. Joe said it just needed the top coating/spray. It took an entire year to finally get him to come do that work. It has been a month since he sprayed it and it is STILL peeling up. Joe has told me multiple times that they don't make the asphalt they just lay it. Basically saying that he bought junk asphalt from his vendor and wont properly fix it. I don't understand how I get screwed because J&J bought junk asphalt. I am now going to have to waste time and money researching and hiring a lawyer. There's 20-50 bucket sized areas where you can clearly see the blacktop/asphalt peeling up. I also can't have any weight on the driveway for an extended period of time because it sinks into the blacktop (It is THAT soft)

From the very first meeting with John, we had a great feeling about proceeding with Forest Ridge to…read morehelp us design and build our home. Everyone was very helpful throughout the process, and we were not shy about asking a LOT of questions. Every one of John's crew, and those he chose to subcontract with were responsive, respectful, and professional. We were one of the first projects to come out of the initial COVID lockdown, therefore everyone was eager to work and get things done quickly. We started in June and were moved in by Thanksgiving. We were updated regularly on the progress, and always consulted before things were changed. John also did an AMAZING job keeping us to our budget, which was very important to us. We liked the way he developed his proposal to allow us the choice of where we wanted to get certain things such as lighting, flooring, etc. This made the process more fun for us, and also more affordable as we were able to shop around for the best prices for things we wanted. Forest Ridge went above and beyond in laying out what was included in the proposal, and what would be outside of that such as hardscaping, etc. Almost 3 years later, we come down our driveway and exclaim how much we LOVE our home. We are appreciative of John and his guidance in helping us to build our little slice of heaven. If we were ever in need of the services of Forest Ridge Builders, we would absolutely not hesitate to reach out.
