We were scheduled to check out at 11 am on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 11 am. We reserved a handicapped accessible room. When we arrived, Sai- the receptionist, told me the Handicapped accessible room was not available, and they could offer us another room. he gave us the key to look at the other room to see if it was a room we could use. As I returned to my car to drive around to look at the replacement room, there were some rocks in the parking lot, and I stepped on one of the rocks and my left ankle rolled and I fell face forward and rolled and fell on the ground behind my car. I had to crawl over the back of my car and use the bumper to brace myself and get up. After several tries, I was able to get up. I scaped both knees, my right elbow, and injured my left ankle. When we went to the room, the extremely strong smell of smoke begins to aggravate my asthma. The desk chair was sold old and warn, it looks as if it was a chair retrieved from the garbage. All of the material on the desk chair was warn away, and it basically just foam cushion that was exposed. The vents on the front wall were rusted out and peeling. The bathtub was a regular tub and not a low step in accessible shower with grab bars. It was not a room we would be able to use. We returned to the front desk to inform Sai we would not be able to accept the room. AS the evening went on, my ankle became more and more painful. I will have to go to Urgent Care or the ER to have it checked out.

As a young woman in an unfamiliar city, this was very scary. Eventually I found Comfort Suites in Lansing, IL, where the front desk clerk lowered the rate for the evening and waived the credit card deposit so I could pay in cash and still be left with some money. There are stories every single day of young women being abducted and your employee, Lenny, saved me. I am traveling to New York on business and plan to book at an Ascend Hotel Collection location, instead of our preferred company boutique location. I will be whole-heartedly recommending your hotels in the future to my connections! If there is some sort of customer service award that you provide your employees, please do extend this to Lenny. He truly deserves it!

Max was always a pleasure to see in the evenings when we'd come back fr being out. John was the hardest worker we'd ever seen! He was also great to talk to. All of the staff was hella nice, but these three made it feel like home, and are true assets to the Hilton brand. We had family in a diff room, so we experienced three rooms over two weeks. The pool was heated and very clean. The washers were an experience lol, we had to go to a nice laundromat about 20 min away, Fresh Laundry in Griffith. The hotels washers were pretty rough, we cleaned gross hair and gunk off of one before we decided to not use it. Then the next day 2 of 3 were out of order and there was a line for the one that was working. The gym is great, used it each day. The breakfast and 24/7 coffee/tea/water is also very much appreciated! The lobby is really cute and the elevators are very efficient. Parking is super easy and plentiful. Mostly, this hotel felt really safe and welcoming. Factoring in the crazy good deal we received, if you're on a budget or need to be in this area, highly recommend. Also, water gets nice and hot fast for the sinks and showers. Our if the 3 rooms, 2 had great mattresses and everything was perfect, but the third (handicap accessible room) had a lot of issues w knobs falling off of the kitchen area and the shower sprayer needed to be replaced and I had to tighten the table leg bc it was so loose the table almost fell. The heater and ac worked really well in each unit and the streaming was easy, wifi was stable enough for work. We mostly stay a lot in Chicago (Trump tower, review for that on yelp as well), and we don't think we'll be back in Indiana for future visits, just due to family being more in the city, but if you find yourself in this area- we recommend this place for a great value and perfect staff members. We did have very strange issues w exceptionally crazy stomping and noses fr what sounded like upstairs, but they said no one was above us lol- but we def heard hella running and footsteps like, 8pm to 1-2am for a lot of days so who knows from where that was deriving- sound placement can be deceptive, but there were 5 of us who will swear it was directly above us lol. There was dust on the dressers and desk area and trash left under the sofa in the living room area. I pay for good service not convenience. The pool area has no towel. I typically stay down the road in the other hotels but decided to give this Best Western a shot for a three-night stay. The hotel is a good choice for a budget-friendly stay. The staff was accommodating when I checked in and they recognized my Best Western status. The hotel overall is a bit dated and could use an update, however, my room was clean and large and I got a good sleep. The decor in the rooms like the rest of the hotel is dated and could be upgraded. As a business traveller, there are many places to plug in your devices, and connection to wifi was seamless. The wi-fi signal was very strong and I had no issues connecting multiple devices to the wi-fi. The fitness center was below my standards as some of the equipment didn't even work, and not only that, the equipment was limited. The fitness center could use an overhaul.
