We went here because we wanted a particular liquor- Sebego Liquor. My friend and his buddies own a brewery in Maine. This liquor is very nice -they actually make them flavored but I like the simple one better. It is a difficult one to find but I'm glad they had it. There are a lot of other choices in the store as well. So call ahead and see if they have what you need! read more

Oh my God, I think the dudes name is Jason that works here? He's the man. I was on the hunt for a particular beer. I had gotten a free beer to sample from a distributor at a bar establishment. This was near the end of February (I think) and the beer was to be released on St Patrick's day. Then everything shut down 'cause of Coronavirus! And I forgot about this beer. Then I decided "damn, that beer was wicked good, I wanna pick some up." So I look on the breweries website to see who's distributing. I go to a couple places near me, they don't have it. O-kay.... weird. Except this was a seasonal beer and I was hunting for a beer that was now discontinued (May 27th I believe, this was a couple days before but any that haven't sold have been returned to Smuttynose). I am calling places, I drive for 3 hours from store to store. Jason asked for my digits, said he would look and call back. A few hours in, I get a call-back. He found the last 4-pack in his store and he leaves it aside for me! I scurry from Everett to Lynn, and Jason hooks me up, and I have my prize! Key Lime Pie Sour! Most of the time, people can't be bothered to help out, but this was great customer service. This little effort went such a long way, and I am appreciative of the help. read more

When I contacted them, they said the order would be shipped on that same day, only to tell me later than they didn't have the bottles I ordered. My first go to spot! Great prices and great selections. They will usually assist you if you can't find a specific item. The staff will either find it for you or recommend something comparable, often times something better. They also have occasional tastings. Free shots, why not? With that out of the way, there are a few defensible microbrews available, as well as a selection of Central American & Asian imports that will set you up in a pinch. But the wine! Oh, the wine. Whoever is buying wine for this large, spacious liquor store is stocking some crazy interesting things. They have 3 or 4 full rows of Australian wines, with at least half over the $50 mark and up to not only Grange but a number of other Aussie reds in the $150-$300 range. Weird. Not exactly my everyday drinking, but I never seem to be able to leave the place without a decent bottle or two. And that is just the front of the store. Good selection of American wines - I can't really remember what the rest of their selection looks like, but it's pretty varied & large. The Spanish section isn't as good as their jointly owned place in Vinnin Square, Swampscott, and their prices tend a little higher for some reason - both for wine and booze. Still reasonable though. I've gotten friendly & helpful assistance once or twice from the staff, but mostly I go in, gawk at the wine I can't afford, and then buy something less expensive (that I still can't afford). All in all - it's a brightly lit, clean and friendly liquor store that stocks some interesting stuff, at least as far as wine goes. Decent selection, very old interior, average prices. Not my first choice but wouldn't be my last. No Kappy's in the immediate area so if you have no other places to purchase from this is a good spot. I have never been to the store but instead, ordered several different bottles of liquor online for shipment. The main reason for doing this was the fact that I was looking for some higher end bourbon that was very difficult to find and Lynnway had it. While placing the order, I added several other bottles as well of varying bourbon and rye whiskey. I actually talked to "Bob" on a Monday morning and he was tremendously helpful and a real pleasure to speak with. He told me how they shipped the products is a specific manner and it would be shipped that same day. The boxes arrived two days later and were packed in a manner that would withstand all sorts of shipping hazards. I received exactly what I ordered in a very efficient manner and time. Completely satisfied with this store. I travel a lot - north and south and RT 1A happens to be in a lot of my destinations. That's how I realized this Lynnway Mart. Carwash - Gas and something special for later =~} The staff is awesome. I also like that there is no loitering. Visiting vendor tastings on Friday evenings make a nice highlight to the end of my commute home. I'm grateful to have such a great place so near to my home. I go to liquor stores for the beer, and I like my variety. Lynnway Liquors honestly used to really disappoint me in terms of selection. Especially since it is owned by the same people at Vinnin Liquors (which has wonderful beer selection). They used to have a copious amounts of Mega Swill (common industrial beer). Very recently, as in the past couple of months, this store has completely updated their beer inventory, and now carries a respectable selection. Mostly American beers from all over the country. 22oz section is growing, and the six pack selection is much more appealing now. I plan to give quite a bit more business in the future. I acknowledge and am thankful for the attempt to cater to beer lovers. Especially because it is on my way home from work and very convenient. I have been shopping here for all of my liquor store needs for several years. The prices are very competitive, the wine selection is vast and when I have a question about what to serve for a higher end wine, or suggestions, the managers and owner are very knowledgeable and helpful. I can always count on assistance if I need it and I never leave frustrated - or empty handed. There have been occasions when I have seen a wine elsewhere and asked for it, the mgmt. has offered to look it up and also order it if possible. On the way to the beach I have stopped here many times, only to be treated badly by the staff. Usually I have my friend in tow and stop for a 6 pack and ice. The staff always has some negative comment regarding our beach plans and they verbally harass us and never treat us with respect. We are polite girls out to enjoy our day off and need no flak from cranky clerks or the management. It's happened so many times we are now forced to stop shopping here?! I was shocked to read Julie A.'s review on a flea market when she is reviewing the wrong business. Julie, the flea market is down the street in front of Building 19 and has nothing to do with Lynnway liquors.....a great shop for interesting liquors from everywhere, and wines that you don't see too often at most liquor stores, the staff is very friendly always eager to help and a pleasant shopping experience. Decent beer selection but serious wine marketing problem. They've got a big hanging sign advertising 20% off ANY 12 bottles. When I get to the register, I'm told it is only those with a certain color tag (not advertised anywhere). When I asked the cashier where that is promoted, I was told, "That's how they get you."
