As of 2025 they will no longer take the military insurance. There's parking and she offers early morning appointments (7am). The appointments were ok, there's not much to say when you just get a cleaning and there's no dental issues. The hygienist goes pretty hard and even chipped the top of one of my front teeth. She told me I could have an orthodontist smooth it out. They charge an additional $50 out of pocket for fluoride. I sent my previous scans multiple times and they said they didn't receive them. When she did see my scan, I was referred to someone to get a second opinion on something she saw. Almost $500 later I find out it's just my sinus cavity. I know, better safe than sorry and can't fault her for doing her job. My final straw was getting charged a late cancellation fee. They require 48 hours notice which can be really hard if you're not sick 48 hours in advance and the day before your appointment is a weekend or holiday as was my case. I called the morning of and left a voicemail that I was sick; instead I went to urgent care and was diagnosed with strep throat and an ear infection. They did not receive this voicemail in time because the receptionist was also out sick. I was charged the fee 6 weeks later and when I called to see if they make medical exceptions I was told absolutely not because they have already written off too much from *all of us* because our insurance doesn't pay well. As a professional I can understand some of this, I know it's frustrating when people late cancel/no show or an insurance doesn't pay well. However, I always make exceptions for medical and other things that are truly out of their control. They are right to stop taking our insurance, it's not good when you start to resent your customers. Take away: -No matter how sick you are, if you want to avoid a fee, go to the appointment -Go if you know your dental insurance pays well or you plan to pay out of pocket -Insurance companies are the worst and need to raise their rates across the board

The appointment took like 2 hours, and they were super rough with my mouth (I'm not even that sensitive). I was bleeding a bit (because they were so rough!) and the hygienist flatly said "you have gum disease" and didn't explain that more. They wanted to fit me for a night guard and they acted like it was my fault they couldn't get the sensor to work right (very uncomfortable too). Again, they were so rough and the person fitting me for it didn't even introduce herself, just walked in and jammed the sensor in my mouth. The office itself is cute from the outside but the inside feels very disorganized and not clean. There were cords everywhere and random things just stacked in corners. The only positive thing I can say is that the front desk staff were very nice and they worked with me ahead of the appointment to make sure my insurance (I'd just switched insurances) would be accepted. I had chipped my front tooth due to poor bonding from my former dentist. It had chipped about three times in about four months with no real solution other than to either slap on new bonding or shave my teeth down. I called Dental Devotion and they were so kind and considerate of my situation. They were able to squeeze me in the next morning. From the women in the front office, to the dental assistant, and to the dentist, my experience was top notch. They explained what was happening, how they were going to fix it, and asked for my approval every step of the way. Like many reviews have mentioned, they treated me like a human and didn't try to force anything on me aside from what I wanted fixed. The only negative is that their parking is a garage and they only validate for an hour so if you have a longer procedure, you will be paying $$. I stayed about 70 minutes and the parking was $4 with validation. I still would recommend this practice to anyone as they are honest and provide quality work/service.

After 10 years, I am taking the time and effort to move on to a different dental office, which takes a bit of effort. And the reasons why are very serious and if you have a family, you especially need to take these warning into account. I see there are few good reviews (and some clearly fake) for this dental office, well then, for the few real ones - they must have just had a simple cavity. Just give it time- they will figure out this place is no good. 1. Dental offices are required by the medical board to have an emergency number/contact number for patients. On 4 different occasions (2x broken tooth, cavity fell out, crown fell out) I contacted their emergency telephone number and text them on the number. Absolutely no response. Later, on a Monday they lightly reference, that they may have gotten my messages. Today, I found out that they failing to respond or monitor their emergency phone/contact is actually a violation on the medical board. And if I care to, I could file a complaint. Here's why they are failing besides not caring: it's a very small office. One dentist, who uses one young part-time dentist in training and an office manager/secretary- so a 3-person operation. Yep, not much. And they are not open/doing business Friday-Sunday. Yep, closed three days a week. So, God help you if something bad happens to you or your family Friday thru Sunday. They are not going to respond to you, and they are not going to come in to help you or your child, if they or you are hurt. See the problem. Over time, you or your family are going to need special help on a Friday-Sunday. It's going to happen eventually. And when you call the emergency line/text for them (which they are required by Virginia Medical Board to respond to). They will not respond, and they will not help. 2. So, they are a very small operation. 3-person operation and many, many times, they do not pick up the telephone. Basically, they screen calls using their caller id. Yep, not very nice. So, for example (and there are other examples), I've called to ask if a crown has come in. Then later I'd call again to inquire. LOL and guess what, no answer. I call and I call- no answer. Yep, screening calls. Lately, I eventually figured it out and just went over there to talk to them. I just live around the block, so it's no big deal. But recently it made me think. LOL, they been doing this for years. They screen calls using caller id and they don't pick up. Yes. It's kind of funny to think about at first, but when you think about it. It's pretty messed up and if you live a distance away, I guarantee this will be extremely aggravating to you. So, I've read a bunch of these 5-star reviews from people, and they are all nice and cute.... give it some time and real need- you'll find out when they fail you. Also, some real observation. I know people want to be nice, but I was nice with Dr. Dorjee for 10 years and objectively examining her performance ...not good. If she cared, she would respond to the emergency message/texts....if she cared. Guess what, I've figured out, she doesn't. 3. She (Dr. Dorjee) seems to be rotating a lot of young dentists in and out of the office and getting them to do the work. And when I say the work, I mean all the work. Everything from cavity filling to crowns. And she has USED different ones over the year. Recently, for my crown (and I don't normally don't ever do this) I had to look at the person as ask if they have done this procedure before or if I'm first. They looked like they were 19. And I said it in a way, that I needed them to be honest with me. I said it nice, but direct. I had to. So, this has been going on for a while. 4. I've read some of these five-star reviews and they are kind of the same length, and they all seem to sound the same. Alot of "best cleaning I've ever had" and "I was comfortable and enjoy my cleaning soooo much". LOL: I know the young office manager/secretary and these 5-star reviews are her. She's creating a bunch of accounts and talking how great a cleaning and how comfortable and "soooo friendly" lol. Totally her. 5. She has no respect, and she does not care. Sorry, but if she did ... she wouldn't be doing and acting the why she does. I've given her a bunch of chances over the years, because I live right around the corner. But enough is enough.

They do care for their patients. With that said, Copeland is the same way! He will work with you about payments and will let you know if there's a problem with your teeth.
