When it wouldn't read the first time she had me hold my other arm in the air to check it. For anyone not in healthcare this is not a proper way to check it and skews the reading. Big shocker my blood pressure came back high but they didn't bother to recheck it properly. I then waited over a hour to see Dr. Johnson. When she came in she said oh you're here for abnormal bleeding well you've gained weight and this birth control is known to fail (1. I might have gained weight since my previous visit but my weight has been stable well before my gynecological concern started 2. I have been on this birth control for 9 years without issues). She did not ask any history regarding how long, quantity, associated symptoms etc. She also did not preform any type of exam. She then proceeded to list my options were to continue to suffer or try a new birth control and listed all the birth control options and was upset when I didn't immediately choose one. I totally understand now why people don't like doctors and why people think women's health doesn't get enough attention and it's because the women's health doctors don't care. Not to mention she previously hadn't followed the American College of Obstetricians guidelines for cervical cancer screening with Pap smears (likely so she can charge more for each visit). On a nice note the facilities are nice and nursing staff was kind.

I saw 3 gynecologists first and all of them said don't worry. Don't bother the fibroids if they don't bother you. Problem!! They kept getting bigger and ultimately started pressing on my kidney and started giving me the high blood pressure and blocked my urine flow. Severe pain followed. I will probably die if the situation was not treated quickly. Dr. Kumar came to the rescue. He checked me for cancer before taking me for surgery. The nurses are so sweet and always very welcoming. Dr. Stovall had emergency surgeries once or twice so I've seen Dr. Li and Dr. Ling. Its hard seeing a new OB/GYN because its just "personal" but they both made me feel very comfortable and like I've seen them all along. It is now Friday and the medication is still not called in. My insurance won't cover the PT. I have called the office daily with no response or assistance. I have a rectocele and a cystocele that is painful and causing issues going to the bathroom. I asked about ways to help me be able to go and other questions. He just kept saying the PT will help and never answered my question of what to do about not being able to go to the bathroom.

I was extremely worried when I had to switch from the Midtown location of Women's Physician Group to the Germantown location at 5 months pregnant (Midtown is only CNAs- the doctor's who deliver are all at the Germantown location.) I loved the CNA I had been working with up till that point, and had no clue what I was getting into. Luckily for me, I don't think there could be a better fit had someone invented an eHarmony for making baby doctor matches. Dr. Carter has an amazing bedside manor and goes above and beyond what is necessary- and this is coming from a first time mom. She has always been extremely patient with all my ridiculous questions, and even more so when I've had none and really should have. She's always got a smile on her face and seems genuinely excited and interested in my pregnancy. Her staff of nurses and the ultrasound tech are equally as wonderful. I feel like I've known them forever, and that they all take an active interest in what is going on in my pregnancy. Even if they don't and it is just for show- kudos to them. I can't imagine faking that interest day in and day out with dozens of preggos. Though I haven't delivered yet, I would recommend her services to anyone in need.
