My primary care provider was a nurse practitioner on site. I'd had good experiences with NPs in…read morethe past but this was a bad experience. One of the two worst I've had before. My NP was cool to start. Sadly as time went on things went downhill. First off she wasn't responsive to my concerns. She either ignored my questions or responded negatively like I don't know my body and my past history. She often talked down to me. And she ordered that a medication of mine be dropped BY HALF for a small deviation on a test. I expressed concern since things went to hell when I was on that dose years ago. She called me noncompliant or some such for asking for a smaller but reasonable drop. Both my new pcp and endocrinologist thought she was nuts. November 2025 I had enough. I tried switching to the doctor in the practice. Denied. Called other doctors in the same system denied. I then called the office manager back and advised that I would be transferring to another network for primary care due to I no longer had faith in my then PCP. Later on I schedule an appointment with my ortho specialist in the same network. They cancelled it because the old pcp office apparently discharged me or blacklisted me from the whole freakin Carondelet network simply because of one nurse practitioner. Never again. I hate the necessity since I hear Doctor Cornelius is chill but I never found out since he refused to see me too likely due to the NP. With my personal experiences I'd do zero if not negative stars.

There are a lot of doctors offices in this huge building…read more We are in 225, cardiology. My wife needs a confirmation Echocardiogram to rule something out. We see Dr. Lee Ghuy. This will be a hour test, bring a book. All good.

I prefer NPs to MDs because the former have degrees in medicine and patient care, while the latter…read morehave degrees in self importance with a minor in medicine. Darren is friendly, professional, direct, genuine, and helpful. He doesn't over- or under-prescribe, and he makes sure that you are getting appropriate care from other healthcare providers as well as self-care. I don't really understand all these 1-star reviews. He's not a therapist and he's not supposed to be one--psychiatrists and psychologists are different, and one is not trained to be the other.

Even though he was very nice friendly and kind I would say at the end of the professional client relationship it left a bad taste in my mouth. I went looking for some other treatment that would help me further in my health as it has become medicine resistant to me. I just was not feeling myself at all I have become very self aware of that. Again I say this respectfully, I think there was a miscommunication or understanding. I had went into a newer higher role with struggles of focus and completing things. I originally was given the one treatment which I was quickly taken off due to side effects. But I was asked at my new provider I was trying to get the more invasive treatment if I wanted to try the prior failed treatment again and I did. But I waited out and those symptoms went away quickly I saw improvement in my job skills so I continued to stay on it. I guess there was miscommunication and he saw I was on that new treatment and accused me of doctor shopping. When ive never had ill intention or intent on doctor shopping i was desperately looking for stability and when I was truly looking for relief. My new provider I've found it after 6 months with TMS and other support as they took over eveything after that conversation and he hung up on me after saying all those not so professional accusations. It was a little hurtful especially knowing I was seeing him since 2021 and to hear false accusations such as doctor shopping when all I was trying to do was advocate for myself ontop of it. Never intended for anything bad wasnt doctor shopping or anything. But I only wish the best and there are no hurt feelings. But im finally in a place where I need to let people be aware of this and this experience.
