Lynda and her assistant Lisa were incredibly patient throughout the process of reupholstering my grandfather's couch and arm chairs he gifted to me after his passing. The pieces were very sentimental to me, and choosing the type of fabric, color, and patterns to replace the old upholstery was a more difficult task for me to do than expected. Lynda was an immense help in the decision making process and offered guidance and support where needed. She and her team are incredibly professional and provide clear and consistent communication. She always made sure we were on the same page, and when the chairs came back a little different than we had ordered them, she worked diligently to remedy the issue with her upholsterer (who is also awesome). As it turns out I had NOTHING to worry about. Lynda is very kind and highly accommodating. Initially I was thrilled with Lynda and Lisa. They were professional, timely, thorough and were able to give me a quote for exactly what I wanted. There was stacked stone listed on the invoice that I thought might be a bit high ($3324), so I said I would pay for that separately. They cancelled their hold on the order, but the vendor had the name of my general contractor and gave him a call. The order details were exactly the same but the ($2057) total was much different! I understand that they need to mark up some items... but $1,267? 38%? I was looking forward to working with them on the inside remodel but will now look for someone else. read more

I am so glad my best friend found Lynda for me when she stumbled upon Lynda's website. I wanted an interior designer who would work hand in hand with me. I like to do some of my own shopping since I love the search for that perfect couch or the simple yet elegant side table. But I needed the designer eye to confirm that it would work for my space. Indeed, Lynda was the perfect interior designer for me. She gave me a floor plan to work with, paint color, furniture pieces to buy and a budget estimate. As I did the search, I love the collaboration we had. I would send her a text or email on the pieces I would find and she would give me a thumbs-up or down. When I get stuck, she would help me find the perfect piece like the modern/abstract artwork and awesome rug that just brings everything together. We also met up in a furniture store to pick furniture together like my coffee table and a side chair where she picked the fabric, nail head and wood color. Of course, the chair turned out fabulous! Sometimes we get overwhelmed with things like that. Lynda has a great eye and great taste to match. She's so easy to work with and gives the best advice. She also listened to my needs since I have two young children and she made sure that the furniture pieces would be child friendly. We used Lynda to stage our home when we put it on the market in Oct 2013. We had never used a stager before, so this was a new experience for us. When we put our Livermore home on the market last fall, our realtor brought Lynda in to stage our workout room as a bedroom. Lynda also went room to room making suggestions for improvement. Like most people, I decorated my house to suit my own tastes and was very content with my décor, so I was a bit uncomfortable with someone coming in to challenge my taste. I'll admit that at first I was a bit annoyed when Lynda made suggestions - most of which involved putting some of my treasured décor into storage. Lynda was never bossy or condescending, she just showed me how she would do things to make the house more appealing to the masses. I decided to swallow my pride and defer to her professional experience. I watched her carefully, trying to learn some techniques. At first the house looked bare, but as I began to live with the changes she had suggested, I realized that it actually looked much better! At the first open house we received multiple offers, all above asking price. The house we moved into was new construction, which meant a million decisions about paint, flooring, fixtures, etc. As I began making decisions and decorating (my husband likes my taste, so he's good with letting me do all the work) I found myself applying some of the design principles I learned from Lynda. I found the question, "What would Lynda think about this?" popping up in my mind as I arranged furniture and hung art. I think the new house looks great - and I think some of the thanks should go to Lynda. She really knows what she's doing! read more
