I don't even know where to start. I guess I'll start by saying that Jackie is absolutely amazing. We did a pretty big remodel on our home back in August and hired her to do our design. We went back on forth on if we even wanted to hire a designer. I'm really glad we did! We've now learned that remodeling is not easy endeavor and remodeling during a pandemic made it even worse. Let me tell you, she was worth every penny! Jackie was the bright light through the whole process. She has a very good understanding of the construction industry and process (as she's grown up with it her entire life), and had to talk us off a ledge a couple of times. Her process was easy and straight forward, and I think she did a good job trying to understand and unravel our design concept. We trusted her with our design, but if there was something we wanted tweaked or changed, she made it happen. She has tons of samples on hand to show you and if she doesn't she'll order it right away. We were so fortunate to be referred to Jackie Mendez who has been exceptional in responding to our requirements and especially helping us navigate the rules and requirement for development within the City of Napa. Jackie worked in close collaboration with us, visited the site to take all necessary measurements, then drafting a plan that perfectly positioned the ADU within the available space. I absolutely love Jackie's(the owners) eye for design. We recently moved into a new home and I called for paint help. We told her what we were looking for, and were so pleased with every suggestion she had. Our daughter wanted a pink room, but with all of the pink stuff we already had, I was concerned it would be too much. Jackie picked the perfect color that is a soft, and subtle shade of pink. She suggested an accent wall of a lavender color to offset all the pink-and every person who comes over is in awe of the girls' room! In our room we wanted to have one shade that really popped. We had initially thought red would be good, but with Jackie's help, we switched to black, and we are so happy with the outcome! I can not say enough about the amazing experience we've had with JLM Designs! From the beginning of our project to its completion, our designer went above and beyond to help us see our long time dream of remodeling our 130 year old home, come true!
