I met with DDS Kohner for an evaluation an issue and while she seemed generally knowledgable on the subject..... her personality was Unrefined and distant. Understanding that they must get several hundred patients a year yet very few ever review online, it is almost impossible to discover 'this' from reading these mostly positive reviews. So these positive reviews must be from friends and then the remaining ones from patients who do not have the ability to simply sense it. I did not meet her father DDS Florio but would not want to. I deal with tens of t h o u s a n d s people of all paths in life from around the world. She was 'distant' needed to be dominant while talking and condescending. Yes. "She barked out some high prices while making a feeble point as she spoke at speedy speech pattern to hurry our conversation" Mrs Kohner is lucky that she is not an employee but the owners daughter, being that if she worked for someone else it might not fair as well for here. The prices of this dental office for more complicated work are also higher then average on Long Island. "Front desk is very misleading and will claim your insurance and all the doctors are in network. After treatment they will tell you, you are not covered and have you pay an outrageous amount. Later you will find out you were actually covered and they sneaked in an out of network doctor cause of "scheduling issues". On top of that they will hold your payment hostage until they double dipped on the insurance claim they filed for the treatment you were actually covered for". This statement is interesting ! I haven't been to this establishment in two months, I paid out of my pocket and they charged my insurance. Today 5/23/22 I received a call from their office claiming that there's a problem with my insurance. I guess they're looking for more money. They're barking up the wrong tree ! They expected me to use a dentist from their network but I didn't. Let's see what these crooks are up to now because I'm ready to sue for services NOT done. You already got money out of me for a cleaning that wasn't done, and your claim for a deep cleaning was not true. STOP cheating patrons and leave me alone! I've been coming to this office for a while already and I am more than thankful I found this office. The staff is amazing. I never got a cleaning so detailed and the hygiene took her time which I love because I'm use to just getting 30 minute cleanings at my previous dentist. The doctors are so nice and they go out their way to make you feel comfortable and make sure they can help with the treatment plan you need and make sure you always leave satisfy with hoe they work. The assistants are so friendly and they make sure to explain and answer every question you have and if you fear the dentist they make sure to make you feel comfortable. The girls in the front are amazing, they even make sure you get in fast and they definitely work with you based on scheduling appointments. Rose been working in the office for a while she's amazing always making sure to help patients even if they need help with the door. While visiting my daughter here in Lynbrook, I shared that I was suffering jaw pain after receiving inferior dental treatment in my state of residence. She immediately called her dentist, Dr. Nicole Kohner at Lynbrook Smiles. The staff got me into the office quickly, and into the dental treatment chair quickly too! Dr. Nicole came in soon afterwards, introduced herself and asked all the right questions. She had her skilled, able, and friendly tech run some tests, which she studied while asking more questions in order to zero-in on the problem (which she found in short order!). During all this activity I was being kept in the conversation every step of the way, and most importantly in language I could understand! Finally, a dentist who is capable, smart AND caring! My experience having teeth pulled and implants placed with bone grafts was completely painless!! Recuperation had no issues. They fitted me with a denture and I have received many compliments on the looks. I had no issues with the fitting and the workers are very accommodating and professional. Dr. Kohner and Dr. Florio are very professional. They called to see how I felt that night after my surgery. My healing process is coming along excellent with no issues. Recently I had implants done at this office. The office staff was courteous, professional and accommodating and I was greeted with a welcoming atmosphere. I am a senior citizen and was very nervous about the work. I want to say that coming to this dental office years ago has been one of the best decisions ever as I am terrified of the dentist. I was just there today and as always the staff is super caring and all have a great personality. Best dental practice I have ever encountered in almost 70 years of going to a dentist. All the doctors, nurses and the staff are exceptional. The office runs so smoothly and I never wait. It's clean as a whistle and doesn't smell like the usual dentist office. I have never had pain or infection and in the last 2 years have had extensive work done.
