Also my history of a herniated disc in my lower back which I did have an epidural on several years before by a different doctor, now some pain there is coming back and both feet are becoming numb. During my wait in the waiting room I observed both doctors, Sanel, and Cosijns, appearing very unhappy and rude to everyone, they had mad looks or scowling looks on their faces as if they were fighting, and it affected the staff and the patients in the waiting room as well. It felt like a fearful uncomfortable atmosphere, I wanted to leave but I stayed. When I was interviewed on this first appointment by Dr. Sanel, about my condition, he was like a rude drill Sargent, only allowing me to speak when he asked a specific question as he was taking notes. He told me we were to talk only about only one thing specifically. He wouldn't allow me to speak about any of my other symptoms, so I chose my impinged neck nerve, and told him my PCP agreed with my request that I needed an epidural, so that's what I came there for. Dr. Sanel instead gave me a prescription for a non narcotic drug named Cymbalta and sent me on my way telling me to begin with a small dose for a while, then go to the higher dose and come back in a few weeks and follow-up with the other doctor in his office (Anne-Marie Cosijns, his wife). After I was taking this nightmare drug I found out it had many side effects which it was causing me to have that I was not informed of. And I also found out you will become dependent on this drug, and cannot just stop taking it cold turkey or it will cause headaches and more side effects. This drug was a nightmare for me! So after dealing with all the effects of the drug during the few months I was taking it, I returned to the office to see doctor Cosijns, I told her about all of the problems it was causing and I needed to stop taking it, she told me to do so by ramping down the dosage slowly over a period of about 5 weeks. Then she asked me if I wanted an epidural! I was in disbelief, I just looked at her and said that's what I came here for originally, and now you ask me after all this I have been through for the last few months? I said NO, I'll let you know some day after I get off this drug! I never went back there, and would discourage anyone from going there, I also let my primary physician know he referred me to these doctors and how they treated me. I choose to live with my problems and am slowly allowing my brain to adjust to them, it seems to help slightly. My advice is to stay away from this place if you can, find another pain center with courtesy, that cares about you and your needs! Rob

We waited over an hour for our scheduled appointment and was rushed because "Dr. Lynch was trying to leave early to go out of town for his birthday celebration". I scheduled this appointment (2) months ago! I would have preferred to have seen a different provider or go to another practice if I was notified how long the wait would be. Dr. Lynch did not address our concerns and gave us the "bums rush"... I am just shocked at Dr. Lynch's horrifying bedside manner. FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR!

In mid-February 2025, I developed a pinched nerve in my back, which worsened over time. By March…read more7th, the pain had spread, requiring daily pain medication and heating/cold compresses. Seeking relief, I scheduled an appointment with Arizona Pain Scottsdale Mountain View, hoping for professional care. Instead, I encountered misdiagnosis, pushy treatment plans, and a facility that prioritizes profits over patient well-being. My first visit was a consultation where they ordered an X-ray through SMIL. However, since SMIL was out of network, I had to request a transfer to SimonMed, which they quickly accommodated. After my X-ray, I had a follow-up on March 14th, where the chiropractor reviewed my results. He shocked me by claiming my collarbone was fractured--a completely unexpected and improbable diagnosis. I had not experienced any trauma, had no pain in my collarbone, and am a healthy 23-year-old female. Despite telling them that my back pain had significantly improved, the chiropractor ignored this and insisted on a treatment plan of three visits per week for three weeks. I was then directed to a medical practitioner, who asked me to sign a consent form for saline injections, along with continued chiropractic and physical therapy sessions. Since I was already feeling better, I declined further treatment. Fortunately, the practitioner respected my decision and told me I could return if the pain worsened. Concerned by the supposed fractured collarbone, my Primary Care Physician ordered a second X-ray at Arizona Diagnostic Radiology Group. This time, the results confirmed what I suspected--there was no fracture or abnormality. That meant Arizona Pain wrongly diagnosed a broken bone and still proceeded with adjustments that could have worsened an actual fracture. I have attached both results to this review. Arizona Pain Scottsdale Mountain View is money-driven, not patient-focused. They charge three separate co-pays per visit (chiropractor, PT, and medical care), meaning their suggested plan would have cost me $135 per session, three times a week, for three weeks--totaling over $1,200 out of pocket. They ignored my statements that I was feeling better and continued pushing an unnecessary treatment plan. Even after opting out, I had to fight to cancel appointments and ensure they removed my billing information. If you are considering this facility, be extremely cautious. My experience highlights misdiagnosis, aggressive billing, and a focus on revenue over genuine patient care. If you have been through something similar, I encourage you to speak out. Patients deserve transparency, proper diagnosis, and ethical treatment.

I use Dr. Crooks, Ortho Arizona for my issues with my back. I have nothing but good things to say…read moreabout Dr, Crooks. However, the North Scottsdale office at 9815 N. 95th St, Bldg. H, Scottsdale AZ 85258 has really dropped the ball for my - BIG time. 2/23/2026: I have a ADOT Disability Placard. On 2/23/2026, I sent the office a letter, a completed application and mailed it to their office, along with a self-addressed, postage paid envelope. All they had to do was sign and date the form and mail it back to me. Seems simple enough. About three weeks later, I called and emailed numerous times to inquire on the status of my ADOT application. No answer. 3/15/2026: I called on about 3/15/2026, and left a voice message on their auto-attendant. No call back or reply. 3/20/2026: On 3/20/2026, I remailed the information included in my original 2/23/2026 letter, with the completed ADOT form, again with a self-addressed postage paid envelopment. No response. Late last week, I receive a call from Ortho Arizona - 95th St office, V. Rios, to inquire about one of my voice messages. I explained everything from A to Z. She told me to send her the original 2/23/2026 information. I told her that I would need an email address because I could not attach WORD and scanned document to a text message from my phone. Shortly after our conversation, I got a text informing me to attached to original 2/23/2026 information. BTW: She completely ignored me not being able to attached WORD document on my computer info to a cell phone text. I replied back explaining I needed an email address. I shortly got a reply with an email address. I forward all of the 2/23/26 information attached to the email address and asked that they acknowledge receipt of the information attached to the email. NO REPLY. Because my email was not returned as "Undeliverable" and my email showed up in my "Sent" email folder, I can only assume that it was delivered. My ADOT placard expires on the last day of March 2026. I began my" journey" on 2/23/2026. Neither of my two letters was return by the USPS as undeliverable. It safe to conclude that each letter was delivered. Letter's not replied to, emails not replied to, etc. etc. I have to give Ortho Arizona North Scottsdale, 95th Street office and BIG FAT F. Only because I do not know anything lower than an F! FYI: Most of the dates are accurate. However, a few I had to guess. But gthere was no guessing on what happened. NOTHING!

When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by Janice, who was super nice. In fact, everyone I interacted with made me feel extremely welcome and were all very nice. I was even able to get a same-day appointment. Note: This office is open later in the evening, so you're able to go after work. Talk about convenient! The floor plan is a bit different than I was used to - everything is out in the open - but the actual consultation room is off to the side and closed off for privacy. Once I go in for an actual appointment, I'm sure I'll see what it's actually like, but I'm not too concerned. I've asked around about the open plan and it doesn't seem like it's a huge deal. Dr. Mitch was *incredibly* nice. He listened to my concerns, asked about my history, gave me a history of his own experience, and made sure I felt heard. He has such a great vibe about him and it is easy to feel comfortable in the office. Dr. Mitch said at the office, along with massage and chiropractic appointments, they also do food intolerance tests, allergy tests, PT, among other things. For someone like me who is always looking to better my health and understand how my body works and why, this is an amazing point of interest. During the consultation, Dr. Mitch had me lay face down while he felt my spine, and then decided that an x-ray was needed. The x-ray is in-house and the results are immediately displayed on the screen (side note: super weird and cool to see your insides). He then went over the results and areas of concern. It was really nice to understand why my neck always hurts in a certain place, or what causes my migraines. These are things other doctors haven't been able to tell me for 15 years and within a half an hour, Dr. Mitch gave me answers. Absolutely amazing. I am so excited to get started at this office and to really get my body back to a place of being pain-free.

Her genuine concern, compassion & empathy were evident as she explained that she too had an elderly mother, and she cared so much. This experience marked the beginning of the outstanding care my mother received at AZ Pain. Violetta Melkum has an extensive experience and thoroughly explained my mom's CT scan from SMIL using the model of the spine until we could fully understand all of the problems, what could be treated, and being honest about what could not. The first visit included a pain-relief shot and a professional back brace, all covered for just $30 dollars with Medicare! Dr. Jensen is so highly recommended that we are again very fortunate to have him perform the epidurals, and are grateful to Sophia Diego, the scheduler to get my mother into the schedule so quickly.
