If you look at the quality of a number of their products, and you will realize they too are nice! I feel like you could spend a little more and get a better product that will last so much longer. Fly fishing for me, is like quick catch & release. With the right tools you can release these great animals back to the wild! Solid products, that you can trust and count on in a pinch! First time I used one of their products, it was out on a stream. I reached for one of their clamps to help a trout out! The trout had taken the fly too deep. I reached for my new clamp from dr. slick, with no problems the clamp helped me release the trout back to the wild. I love nature and want help it's progress. Without their clamps in my hand to help I would have felt bad, to this day I remember those kind fish that I helped release back into the wild. Thank you Dr. Slick, fun name, fanatic products! From the first minute that we met Greg, we could sense this was going to a great day (or days as the case was). First of all, you will notice immediately Greg is meticulous with everything about the trip, from the gear, to the organization of his drift boat, to the plans for the day, this was evident throughout the day. On the ride out, Greg was very conversational, but at the same time very focused on our goals and trying to understand our skills, background, and experience. I first started fishing with Greg in Chile, and he encouraged me to drop by Montana when I got back Stateside to check out some of the fishing around Bozeman. Mind you, it rained 10 straight days on us in Chile and we never had a down day, so I figured if I were to going to trust someone to show me what Montana fishing was all about I certainly couldn't go wrong with Bricker. He's a consummate professional in the low cloud cover and torrential rains in Chile as well as in the high dry plains of Montana. He's got me on fish every single time (on both continents) and I've come to believe he may have a PhD in fish-doctoring. I would also add that he can take just about anyone with interest in fly fishing down the river and get them in the best position to catch fish, with the same exuberance he would have in fishing with a more experienced angler. There's plenty of guides out there, and it can be said that the very best in the world are in Montana. Without overstating my message, Bricker is very comfortable working in that environment - he takes each day as a puzzle, and has the depth of experience to find the missing pieces and make the most of each day on the river. I had also purchased some new skis from a Faty-pus rep and I needed new bindings and for my skis to be filed off since they've never been used. Everything was done quickly and accurately. Great service and knowledge sales people. Went back to get some liners for my boots. They were having a HUGE President's Day sale. I would definitely recommend buying what you need during the sale. He was beyond accommodating and put me on a pair of stockli skis. I skied about half a day And broke my boot. Had to be transported back to the bottom via snowmobile. Garret set me up immediately and we were off to ski the rest of the day. I've worked in ski resorts and know how many employees get burned out or develop bad attitudes. Not with this establishment. I have a Seth Thomas mantle clock about 110 years old and a treasured family heirloom. It needed a…read moremainspring replacement. Mike said it might be 2 months before he could get to it. After receiving the clock he mentioned it would be closer to two weeks. I've noticed horologists (clock repair experts) often have a different sense of time, which amuses me. The clock was returned after 3 weeks and soon I found it ran only a few hours or more often ran less than an hour. For 3 days (there was a weekend here) I did what I could with what knowledge I had of the clock. I left a message for Mike and he returned the call a couple days later. He explained the problem was not what I thought it might be and asked that I send the clock back for some tweaking. We talked a bit more and over the phone he listened to the clock's ticking. And over the phone he then guided me to gently adjust a wire that connected to the pendulum. It was an amazing phone call that illustrated his expertise. The clock works perfectly now, and especially so since he also replaced 13 bushings and both mainsprings in the repair. Yes, an easily deserved 5 stars!
