When I bought the pit 40 years ago their big hype was it's guaranteed for a lifetime. Well, that's not the case. First they told us it was not their pit until one of the employees admitted it was. They made all kinds of excuses asked for the purchase receipt, then they admitted they would fix for almost as much as a new one. It will be replaced but not with one of their pits. My suggestion is to buy elsewhere as I would not recommend them. That's my opinion. read more

Have used their BBQ pits for decades. They make a great quality pit, and usually have them on backorder so many people want them. I would highly recommend them. read more

I bought my Lyfe Tyme smoker in 2012, I got the 20" x 40" double door. It really is a well built pit, the only problem I had with mine it only had a 2" heat deflector, which meant the side closet to the fire fire box ran a lot hotter so much so I never cooked on that side. To fix this I took my pit to a shop in Lufkin TX and had them weld a full 8" 1/4" heat deflector in and also put a nipple in the right door so I could have a temp reading on both sides. That was about 10 yrs ago, This is no BS , my pit will now runs between 5 and 10 degrees difference and I use about 1 16" split about every 45 min. running at 250, my gauges are Tel Tru . read more

Our Name Says It All From the oil fields of Texas comes the most innovative concept in barbecue pits. Made of 1/4 steel, these units are guaranteed against burnout for a lifetime of enjoyment. This style of grill originated when a welder would have an odd piece of pipe left over from a section of pipeline.
