I received notice from my former insurance company of 39 years (by voicemail) that they were not renewing my home owners insurance due to the fact that my home is 250 feet shy of their newly created brush boundary distance. Boo on them. I contacted Kevin at Lyddy Martin and he went to work immediately. While he has not yet finalized an offer from other sources, he sent me a list of potential companies and the dates by which he can receive quotes. Kevin was very reassuring and discussed a variety of possibilities as we move forward. Kevin has also remained in contact continuously since the day we first spoke. My financial advisor is the one who put me in contact with Kevin and said the Kevin's credentials are extremely impressive. Thank you so much, Kevin read more

I was referred to Lance by another carrier who couldn't insurance our home. Lance has exceptional customer service, values the needs of his customers, and very responsive. From the time we got on the phone and through emails, he answered all questions and went right work. I was in crunch with CA home insurance expiration and Lance came through quickly. We appreciate you caring for our needs as if it was family. Thank you read more

I asked Lance Havel at Liddy Martin Company if there was some way I could post a testimonial or review for him because Lance has been such an extraordinary auto insurance agent for me for several years. I see other reviews indicating he brings the same exceptional expertise and personal concern to other insurance areas as well, including homeowners and commercial property. I live in Los Angeles and my son is a grad student at UChIcago. Several times yearly I need to change the exclusions on my policy depending on whether my son is using my vehicle or not. Without fail Lance has been immediately responsive to my requests for policy changes, even last minute requests on the weekends to insure that both my son and me have the coverage we need.He has provided highly personalized, professional service at ALL times. I cannot say enough good things about this man. It's so rare to find service of this quality. A sincere thank you to you Lance! Roger A. read more

Lance Havel at Lyddy Martin is everything you can ask for in an insurance agent. Lance knows what questions to ask (in areas I would never think of) and helps discover vulnerabilities that a business owner can experience. Not only is he an expert on commercial insurance, I learned about third party liability and cyber protection from him. I appreciate that he educates in a way that is easy to follow. Lance is honest, prompt and very thorough, you can tell that he is truly about protecting the client, with no agenda but to provide the best service and coverage. In addition to being a class A professional, Lance is really cool person to have coffee with, and somehow makes talking about insurance fun. Impressive feat in itself! If you have ANY questions about insurance, be sure to call Lance Havel! read more

I called Lyddy Martin today and spoke to Alison and I was so impressed with the care and the level of customer service she gave . She went above and beyond to try to help me. Nobody likes to pay for car insurance (especially with a driving record like mine) but Alison made me feel like someone cared. I'd definitely recommend her and Lyddy Martin! read more

After roughly 20 years loyalty to this company, I am letting consumers know that this company has gone straight into the toilet in terms of customer service. I have a suspicion their revolving door of brokers may have something to do with that as all the previous brokers who I used to deal with there, most of whom were super lovely, amicable, knowledgeable, and most importantly, helpful, are all long gone. What you get when you call now are terse, rude, ignorant, and LAZY brokers who cannot answer simply questions nor are they willing to work with you to make your coverage affordable but will instead deflect their apathy at you with condescension and snide comments all the while trying to get you to quit using their company's insurance. I called and asked to speak with the president of the company and was refused the privilege. I had to deal with a nightmare broker with a horrible attitude instead. I think I see now why this company is hemorrhaging employees. If these brokers don't insult the living daylights out of you on the phone, they will most certainly see to it that they make your blood boil on top of OVERINSURING your insured item. I literally just found out today from another brokerage who reviewed my policy, that I am paying for something on my policy that a) I didn't ask for, b) I didn't even realize was on my policy, and c) I would have put to use instead of paying for the same service out of pocket several times because I was unaware this thing in my policy had been added on without my knowledge or consent. This company is snaky and shady. I'll assume this type of bad faith business is a top down issue, given that I wasn't even allowed to speak to the guy who owns the company. What a shame. This company used to be great. You're better off finding another broker if you must use a broker for your insurance needs. No wonder why wonderful women like Pati Perez and Janet Carter no longer work at Lyddy Martin. They were too caring, too polite, and too good at listening for a company like this. read more

I had a recent loss and the insurance company reimbursed me for some but not all of my claim for out-of-pocket expenses. When my policy came up for renewal months later, I called my longtime agent Lyddy Martin to see if there was a way to update my policy so that the disallowed part of the loss would be covered in the future. Customer rep Monique explained to me the obscure reason that some of my claim hadn't been paid. Then she said she would get in touch with my carrier to see what could be done. Two weeks later Monique told me that she had talked to an adjuster at the company who had agreed to reopen my claim. I got an additional check that covered the rest of my claim! We count on our independent insurance agents to find us the best coverage at the best price. But Monique went above and beyond and got me a payment even my lawyer couldn't get after several billable hours. Thank you, Monique, and thanks Lyddy Martin. read more

If you want a company and people who truly care and want to help you find the best insurance for you and your needs, this is the best!!! Lyddy Martin has helped us with our home, earthquake and car insurance for years. If you ask for Monique you can be assured the most thorough, effective and competitive options of carriers out there, and if she doesn't have one that you need or thinks you can get a better quote from a different carrier, she will tell you and then help you find someone that's the best fit, even if that means going elsewhere! That kind of honesty and integrity, along with her genuine and helpful disposition is what makes Monique and the staff at Lyddy Martin the best out there! read more
