I am a frequent customer of lychee Thai and my partner and I always enjoy our dishes that we get when we get takeout from there. The red curry is one of our favourites and I often get the spicy basil chicken. The service is fast and friendly. I do not often dine in there, but the takeout is always good. read more

The worst Pad Thai I've had. My husband got chicken Pad Thai with two thinnest pieces (no joke) of chicken and I got tofu and vege pad Thai with two fried pieces of Tofu and three pieces of broccoli. The rest were all noodles..... taste was good but we couldn't get over how we both only found two tiny pieces of protein in our food! If you're someone who is used to portioning your macros this place will piss you off lol I will not return and will be warning my friends about this place. Updated: Mango Salad was horrible as well. It's missing ingredients, flavour and onions were chopped huge. Not good at all...... read more

Absolutely ripped off. The tatse for Pad Thai (lunch meal) and Golden curry were so so, the wonton soup was tasteless (both soup and wonton), felt like water. The spring roll was the best - but nothing outstanding. To be honest the food was not too bad but there was no Thai taste here. We're big fans of Thai food and we're so disappointed with both quality and quantity here. The price was too expensive. We believe as this is one of the few Asian restaurants in the area, that's why it can survive. We only had picture of beef Pad Thai ($13.99) - as you can see in the picture - portion too small, not much meat. Curry was better a bit but we had to pay $3.5 for a small portion of steamed rice to eat with it - never happen in my life. Just to clarify, when the server asked what I chose to eat with curry - I said steamed rice because ALL Thai restaurant I ate before offer free rice with curry. I never thought that I had to pay for that. My fault for not reading the menu carefully but again - ripped off. Stay away from this restaurant. Subway or Tim horton is a muchh better choice. Save your day. read more

Fast service and decent quality Thai food. Our orders were taken promptly and were served almost as fast. The pad Thai was different than we've had elsewhere but still tasty. The tofu was sparse and a little mushy for my liking however the others thought the texture was just fine. If the pieces were smaller... it might have been more plentiful throughout. The veggies were crisp and the overall flavor was very good... with a hint of garlic. The chicken dish was cooked well and had a sweet and slightly spicy flavor. The broccoli was steamed and slightly underdone for my taste. The shrimp rolls were tasty and super hot out of the fryer. (Shrimp tails were in the wrapper to make a handle ...very unique). Rice was a la cart and that was also unusual for what we are used to. Not a must hit spot, but if you are craving Thai and need a good quality meal. This is it. read more

I've just had a very disappointing experience, where I sent my food back and they refused to remove it from the bill. The reason I sent back my Pad See Ew was as follows: - a *single* piece of tofu atop a serving bowl of noodles - vegetables were raw, not parcooked - it tasted of Chinese soy sauce and nothing more. In short, bland and short on flavor, not to mention protein. I asked for the item to be removed from my bill, and I was told that if everyone did what I was doing, they couldn't run their business. I agree, but am not convinced that's a serious problem. read more

Great Thai restaurant! I am a local and have been ordering for takeout several times a month for the last 6 years. The food is consistently delicious and service is always amazing. My personal vegetarian/vegan favorites are the south Thai fried rice (vegetables) and the green curry (veggies and tofu). Sooooooooooooo good!!! read more

Pretty good Thai food! Giving it three stars since it was tasty, though some things about the food I'd suggest doing a bit different. Lots of onions in my sweet & sour tofu dish (my boyfriend's shrimp dish too), and I would've taken out the actual tamarind since there were chunks. Aside from this, it satisfied my Thai craving while in Canada and was cozy inside. read more

Lychee Thai - Sweet & sour tofu. Good vegetarian/vegan options! - Thai Near Me - Sault Ste Marie, Ontario

Good food and cozy atmosphere, which is a converted Italian restaurant in a great location on Queen St. They have a nice vegetarian selection for a small town restaurant, so this is a "must stop" for any vegetarians. We never had Curry Pad Thai before, which was a real treat. Wish the service was a little better and they had Thai iced tea, which is keeping me from giving them a five-star. Very reasonable prices, and, based by the traffic coming in and out while were there, I would suggest making a reservation. If ever back in the Soo, I would eat here again. read more

Great authentic thai food and the service is great. We ordered the beef and broccoli, rice, spring rolls, Tom yum soup and the mango salad. Each one was beautifully presented and delicious. The Tom yum soup is very spicy, just so you know. read more

This restaurant claims to serve authentic Thai food, but that is completely false. My wife and I love Thai food, and have ate it in many places around the world. This place is the absolutely the worst !! It's not even Thai food ! It tasted like Chinese food, trying to be Thai. We couldn't finish our meal it was so bad. By the way, this is the first time I have even written a review on-line. I saved the restaurant brochure, to make sure I write a review when I had time to warn people. Stay away !! read more

In more than 10 years of full-time traveling coast to coast, we've eaten Thai hundreds of places across the US -- and now, in Canada, as well. While this review is based on only one meal, I must say, that meal was superb! Started with the chicken satay, which was perfectly seasoned, moist and came with one of the best peanut sauces I've ever tasted -- smooth and spicy, balanced with rich peanut taste but none of that overwhelming "peanut butter" flavor and consistency so often found. Then came the shrimp pad thai, with fresh vegetables, tasty noodles and just the right level of heat (we ordered medium) to wake up the flavor, which was fabulous. Next, we had the duck curry with rice, a pure delight, thick and flavorful. We finished with the mango and sticky rice. This was the only minor disappointment, as the mango was apple-crisp (and the waitress said that was how the chef preferred to serve it in this dish). But the rice was luscious, half nutty-flavored black Thai rice and half white, sweet, coconut-creamy and warm. Even paired with under-ripe crisp mango, it was a treat to get the rarely served black rice. Serving sizes were generous, as we went home with leftovers, too. If only their menu included our favorite beef salad, this place would get the full five stars. That lack notwithstanding, I can't wait to go back. read more

This is our go-to for Thai food. We always order the same items and they never disappoint. Love the springs rolls, coconut soup, Bangkok street pad thai and peanut curry shrimp! Great portions for the cost! read more

I have done a lot of traveling, and naturally, I've hoovered my fair share of Thai food. Rolling into the Soo already starving, I was stoked to see this restaurant was listed as veg-friendly. How do I say this...nicely? It was the WORST food I have ever had, hands down. Unless you think bottled Italian salad dressing with cold rolls is tasty, in which case this place will meet your standards. As if the taste isn't bad enough, it is super overpriced. Avoid, avoid, avoid. read more

Stayed overnight in Sault Ste. Marie. Ordered in to my hotel. And bunch of terribly cooked rice and wontons. I never post reviews. 27 dollars for a load of garbage. Don't do it. Truthfully and honestly. read more

Literally one of the worst pad Thai dishes I've ever had. Gloppy noodles, sauce from a jar, skimpy on the protein.

Excellent Tom Yum soup- probably the best I've had. The Pad Thai Bagkok Street Style was just so so. More sweet than spicy and the ground peanuts had almost zero flavor. Very attentive and friendly staff, though! read more

Terrible meal our noodle bowls contained just that noodles and a very little fresh veggies. We ordered the veggi/ tofu pad sew and Bangkok pad tai, worst money spent. read more

my favourite Thai restaurant! we get the Chang mai noodles, golden curry and pad Thai all with veg and tofu and they're SO GOOD! since I am a vegetarian, they're willing to sub the chicken dishes with tofu and that is so helpful (and tasty!) read more

The Bangkok street pad Thai tastes just like the pad Thai I got from food carts in Bangkok. There's a lot of chicken in it as well! The honeydew bubble tea was delicious as well. read more

Visiting from Los Angeles and this was the choice of my relatives from the Soo. The restaurant was busy on Thursday at 6 pm but we had reservations. The food was good - I especially liked the spring rolls. The other dishes were good, nothing outstanding. First time I've seen pineapple fried rice; it wasn't overly pineapple-y and good. We finished up with mango bubble smoothie. (I asked for thai iced tea before reading the menu, and was apologetically told that they only had canned - it wasn't on the menu.) The service was very good, especially in light of how full the restaurant was. read more

Every time I come the food is Delicious. It tastes fresh. The Curry's are spicy as they should be. "Tom Yum" is in my top 10 I ever had. The staff are always friendly. Lunch time it's always busy, proving that it's a great place to eat. read more

Never try any seafood in here. All seafood served here are frozen and not well marinated. Hard to chew, terrible taste.

This was the worst meal that I ever had ever . Taste like shit .was told delevery would be 45 min to 1 hr .wated 1.5 hrs to only toss this shit into the garbage .only giving it 1 star only becuse it wont let me post without rating this garbage read more

Came here on vacation. Was recommended to the Italian place next door but there was a wait so we went here instead. Was a little judgmental when we first went in.... Want sure it was going to be very good. Could use some updating and lightening up of the atmosphere, but my husband and I shared the Curry Pad Thai chicken and shrimp and it was amazing. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll have to go back!!! I've been craving it since we left... Got so excited that I forgot to take a picture of our dish read more
