I looked at my western omlete and was like, did they really just melt two slices of cheese on my egg? Then I tasted it...... Yes Lord!!!! It was good! Wasn't though but it was good. They also have flavored donuts that I purchsed for the kiddos. They enjoyed them. Will try again. read more

went in for a quick bite to eat The young lady said they were sold out and had nothing left so we had coffee to go and a few desserts. so, the white couple came in and I heard the same young lady tell me there was nothing left She took a full more than enough food orders from the white folks. about 15 minutes pass and we are speaking with the couple as their food comes out and they are asked who goes what. Needless to say, they were white and we were black. so another couple came inside and guess what The order again was full breakfast and the same young lady asked them to pick a seat they did we were all in ear length from each other. and sure enough, as we began to talk she came over and asked me if we still needed those pancakes, with 2 sausage patties cinnamon toast, and grits. it was good but, we never returned and the Chamber of Commerce promoted them. Lybrand's is obviously a local favorite, where everyone knows your name! The food was ok, but the bakery is what sold us. My husband's craving for an apple fritter was well satisfied. And the fried cinnamon roll was equally good. People are friendly and accommodating, as nice as can be. However, the day we were there the kitchen and wait staff weren't communicating well. My husband ordered the taco salad. Everyone at the table was served while he waited. We finished only to find out that there was no taco salad available. He ordered a burger and was satisfied. Everybody has an off day, so we chalked it up to that. We wouldn't let it deter us from stopping in again. read more
