This is a cute, small, intimate little place with some tables, a set of comfy chairs, and a bar. There might have been some kind of group room in the back, I just saw people coming out of it, but we sat at the bar and enjoyed the ambiance. The bartender there was very personable, chatting with all the customers and open to making recommendations. I enjoyed a lovely port that was reasonably priced, and my study-mate got a canned beer from the fridge section (happy hour pricing was great). This was a very cute place with a good variety of wine options, plus items for the non-wine drinkers (albeit not a ton). This was a fun place and I would definitely stop in here again. By the Glass has a good happy hour ($5/glass for selected wine) which pertains only to the wines. It's a low-key, comfortable, unpretentious spot that's received recognition as the best bar, the best wine bar, the best trendy bar, and the best happy hour bar from a variety of publications. According to them, the management is super nice to the customers but not to the employees constantly starting drama and making it difficult for an employee to keep their job. The head chef is also apparently a real a-hole and says inappropriate suggestive comments to their female staff as well, the server was telling me. When I was walking out of the hotel on the last day of my stay I encountered one of the managers and talked to them to see how they would treat me. It was an older woman with glasses. She treated me like an old friend which normally I would have enjoyed but this time I was absolutely disgusted. Just from what I was told, I will not be giving service to them again and will not stay at the hotel.

When I asked the manager on duty if my meal could be remade due to the inconvenience, she was dismissive and refused, stating there was "nothing wrong" with my food. I requested to speak with someone above her; she took my name and number and made a call but never returned to address the issue. The lack of accountability and customer service was unacceptable. Due to this experience, I do not recommend this location.
