This is only the second time I've ever had a pedicure. I got the notion to get it done last night when I was moving my legs in bed and my foot got stuck to the covers. Velcro feet! I asked my friend if she wanted to go with me, and she recommended this place. We were walk-ins, but they immediately sat us down to get started after we picked out our toenail colors. My friend and I got comfy with our knitting in the chairs while our respective ladies got busy with our feet. I'm SUPER ticklish, and was a little worried that I would kick the lady in the face, but she was very good at holding my foot and leg in such a way that the tickling was minimized. She didn't speak much English, but I had no problem understanding what she wanted from me or what she was asking me. She was very sweet and professional, and my feet and legs felt like I'd gotten a massage by the time she was done with me. She would sometimes chat briefly with the lady working on my friend, but they would spend just as much time talking with us about knitting, henna, and other stuff. On the other occasion that I had a pedi, and on the several that I've had manicures, the ladies (and gents) would talk non-stop in their native languages, making the patron feel kind of left out, or, worse, like they were being talked about. I was a little relieved to not feel that way today. At the end, she expertly slipped a pair of free flip flops onto my feet without touching the fresh polish, then picked up all my stuff for me and carried it over to the drying area. My friend's pedicurist took my credit card up for paying and brought the receipt back for me to to sign so that I would less of a chance of messing up my toes. We hung out there for another 20 minutes or so, knitting and chatting happily while we watched the big screen tv's that they have on the walls. The pedi runs $18, and we opted for the sugar scrub for an extra $5 (totally worth it). My feet look, feel, and smell great. :) I will definitely go again if I feel like I need a little pampering and my feet are sticking on stuff. I may even grow a pair and go by myself. read more

Overall the SNS manicure looked fine but the technician didn't follow the proper steps of a SNS manicure. He only did two layers of color and a top coat, completed skipped the resin (clear powder step). Then left to start on the next customers while my nails dried. Once they had dried he turned to me and said "you're done, the lotions right there if you want some." .....so no cuticle oil, lotion, or finishing steps. I MIGHT understand if they had been busy but there were maybe 5 people in the salon at that point, three of which were getting pedicures. Needless to say my SNS manicure started chipping after 3 days. read more

Just left the nail salon after getting SNS for the first time. I will say that the process is much faster than the traditional acrylic set, however, I still don't like the fact that they file/drill your nails before doing the powder. Pros: - They got me in for a basic manicure very quickly, without an appointment. - The manicurist was very nice. Cons: - Horrendous manicure; incomplete cuticle cleanup, uneven polish application, debris left in polish, polish left on skin, my hands were left feeling tight, unmoisturized, and dry. I asked for a French manicure with more of an oval shape for the pink section. I also asked if I could get a mani and my cuticles trimmed, which they tried to do with the drill but I insisted that they give me my manicure I asked for. Trying to use the drill, they cut my fingers several times. And did not even clean my nails. Then I got a pedicure with gel nail polish which was left all over my toes, I had to ask them to fix it and clean it up multiple times which made them irritated After this I had to put my own cuticle oil on because they moved to other customers since they were irritated by the fact that I asked them to fix my nails after leaving them sloppy. read more

I had my nails destroyed by the nail technician. Instead of taking off my sns nails with acetone he used the edge of a nail tip but dug it in so deep he put a hole in my actual nail and proceed to rip off my real nail. All my nails were rips up. If I could give NO stars, I would ! I went there last night. I've visited before but I was never happy when I left in my few times of trying this location. I was with a group of other females who swear by this location so I decided to give them one last try. Horrible mistake. I got a number 3 pedicure & I wanted an sns fullset with a simple gold tip design. The pedicure was just okay. Not the best, especially for that price. My "sns" experience was HORRIBLE. I included a picture of what I asked for vs what I got. I included pictures of the ugly nails I left the salon with. The nail tech would not just say she couldn't give me the look I wanted. Instead she tried several different looks that I hated and I ended up saying nevermind just keep it plain because I was tired of sitting in the pedicure chair. My pedicure had been done for almost an hour and she was still playing with hands. My feet were getting cold sitting there. She was getting angry with me because she sucked I was polite and told her I want to pay for what I want ... as we ALL do. She never apologized or offered a discounted price for the horrible job I received. People who came well after me left before me... I ended up paying $80 for this bullshit and a pedicure with white gel polish. I should've stuck to what I know and went to Athens Nails. I understand some nails techs are better than others but there's no excuse for what I experienced last night - highly dissatisfied and disappointed. Even the newest nail tech should know how to do a basic French tip with gold instead of white I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL! Very small, cluttered nail salon. Partitions are in place for the safety/health of the workers but there are none between customers. Just from looking around, it appeared to be a very unsanitary. After my pedicure was started, had to wait 10 minutes for the nail tech to fix someone else's polish. Will not be returning. read more

Pictures EXPLAIN it ALL! I have gone to the place quite a few times in the past, & my nails have always turned out good because I would do shellac. This literally how my left foot turned out this afternoon. I didn't notice how poorly they were painted till I walked outside. Not only was my nail polish smudged, it's all over my skin & not sure why my big toe was clipped like that. I paid $35 for this Pedicure. The lady was extremely nice during, but no way she didn't realize how bad my toenails had turned out. She also kept pushing me to tip in cash & not credit. She asked me twice. I went with my friend to get my acrylic nails off only to get them repainted over with acrylic pieces still attached! They are the most lumpy, ugly, nails I have ever had. I complained about them in front of several workers and they did nothing. I admit that I did mess up one nail but after stating that I had no one fixed it. One even yelled at my friend for messing hers up. I will be going home to take them off and redo them; something that I should never have to do after paying about 20 dollars for a simple task. I've gone to LV nails twice, once for SNS manicure and once for SNS manicure and regular pedicure. It was by far the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. The second time, my hands were covered in polish when I left and both times the color I chose did not match the color that ended up on my nails. Additionally, the nail polish on my toes was not completely taken off of my toes before the woman put the new polish on. Came to this location for to try SNS nails for the first time. I came here twice, once for my first set and another time for a fill. My first time, everything went well, except the nails were very thick. But, it was well done and lasted two weeks. When I came to get my second set, the salon was extremely busy on a Sunday morning -- 20 people were waiting for the doors to open! I waited my turn and was seen after an hour of sitting around. I could tell the employees were very rushed trying to get through all of these customers, and it affected the work severely. My second set was extremely thick and there were areas on my nail bed that weren't dremeled down properly. Two weeks later for a fill, and I come to find there's fungus growing on my pinky nail. I have a feeling that because a spot wasn't dremeled completely, it allowed for an area to lift and for fungus to make its home in my nail bed. I'm sure there are good technicians at this location, but with the experience I had, I won't be coming back. Update: I visited this location again for a friend's wedding weekend. Still not impressed. The gel nails lasted less than 1 week before they started lifting. read more

They were able to fix my messed up nails from another salon as well as take them off later and replace them with beautiful, clean, healthy nails that I love. They have hundreds of colors to choose from and even helped me pick a pretty one! I recommend getting an appointment with Phuong. She does a fantastic job and has a workable schedule if you call. This salon usually does such a great job, but NEVER go on a Friday afternoon. They're always super busy causing them to rush and do a poor job. I went in to get an SNS manicure. I was seated immediately which was great, but i walked out with terribly shaped nails (i asked for oval and got a stubby almond). The powder wasn't mixed at all either so the color isn't evenly applied - some parts are pinker and others are more grey. Now I'm stuck with these for the next few weeks. Once upon a time this was an excellent nail salon. I will never be back as of my last two experiences. The downsides- 1. Feel like you are being manhandled- no personalized customer service. 2. Rushed nail jobs that usually look like crap but the place is packed wall to wall with students who are rude and loud. 3. Tech burned me with wax. 4. Tech cut me with the drill. 5. 80$? More than I've ever paid. I refused to tip anyone whereas everyone usually gets 5-7$ each. I felt insulted the tech didn't even apologize he knew I had a deep gash on my hand from him. The upside- fastest mani-pedi on the planet. They will do your nails while you are in a pedi chair (I hate that btw). All for 70$ what a waste of hard earned money. Never again. read more

I recently came here after finding out it was under new management. The owner was super friendly along with the rest of the staff. I got the French tip deluxe pedicure & it was well worth it. I usually only get pedicures like twice a year, so this was well deserved. Presently, they have 15% all services! Ask for jasmine. She ll take care of you! DO NOT COME HERE! I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I have been here multiple times and they do an okay job, definitely not great. The lady who seems to run the place and check people in also does nails and she has done mine before. Well today, I got put with her again. I waited for at least 30 minutes before she started my nails and after I finally sat down, she was rude and impatient with me. She kept pushing me to leave my tips on and do a fill in of the SNS (which I've never done before and that doesnt make sense to me). I told her I wanted new tips because some were cracked and she seemed put out that she had to do new tips. She didnt smooth my nail out, put the tips on messed up, didnt file my nails straight, put too much nail glue on, so my skin was glued to my nail and it burned, and the base powder was not smooth at all and was only on half of my nail meaning that the color on top would have not been smooth. She kept getting up to do other things for people or check people in which in my opinion is rude, I am paying for someone to sit down and finish my nails and not get up and keep me waiting. Anyways, she has the tips on and I keep asking her to cut them shorter and finally after I say "shorter please" she goes "no, itll look good" and DID NOT CUT THEM SHORTER. I asked for coffin shape and none of my nails were the same shape or width, it looked awful. She starts putting the base powder on and is rushing me so badly, it didn't even cover the nail and it was incredibly bumpy. She again left to go do something for someone else and at this point, I was pissed. My nails looked horrible and she wasn't giving me the time of day. When she came back, I told her I had to leave and that I would pay for whatever she had done so far (basically nothing) but she ended up not charging me (the one good thing she did all day) and she took the tips off. When she was cutting the tips off however, I could tell she was mad that I was leaving and I could tell she purposely cut too close to my nail and she left me bleeding, with a huge gap of skin missing and then proceeds to blame it on the fact that my nails were so thin and that I had messed them up. I was about to cry at this point because of how angry I was and how rough she was being with my nails and wanted to get out so badly. She did a half ass job taking off the tips and my nails are now ruined and I can no longer get tips or nail polish added to some of the nails because of how bad she cut me. Do not come here, even though the prices are decent, they will rush you and you will not leave with a good result. Not to mention, the place is unsanitary, they dont seem to clean anything, and very unorganized, not a pleasant environment AT ALL. I will never come here ever again. UPDATE: I called to speak with a manager about the service I received and it so happened to be the same lady who did my nails (Phuong) and she acted like she didnt remember me... how do you not remember someone who had just come in who also asked you to stop halfway through and take everything off and leave... anyways, she finally said she knew who i was and after I told her how upset I was, she just blamed how bad my nails looked on myself and that I need to stop getting SNS... I have been getting SNS all summer (at another place) back to back every 2 weeks without an issue and yeah my nails were a little thinner but if you remove them properly, not much damage is done... anyways overall, the customer service is awful, they will rush you, none of the nails come out the same shape, and the place is gross and unsanitary. read more

This place is seriously the best. I went to LV nails off Barnett once a month for several years when I went to UGA. I had tried a few other salons but this one quickly became my favorite. I get SNS because the shape of my nails makes gel polish last only a week. This salon has THOUSANDS of color options. I'm pretty picky with the colors I like so I need a lot to choose from and I haven't seen this much selection of SNS shades at any other salon in Georgia! I always walk out loving my nails. I am not satisfied with the customer service or the quality of service provided at this institute. I went there for a mani, pedi and eye brow threading. We started with the pedicure although we quickly went into the manicure while I was sitting in spa chair. As a result, my hands were on an angle and the nail specialist cut the skin under my nail with the Emory board! yes, it's like a paper cut in your nail can you imagine the pain... There after she was very rushed and when she was done the pedicure was still in process, so I guess the nails needed to air dry because I was never provided a small fan or indicated that there was a drying station. The nail polish itself did not cover the entire nail on most of the nails. I definitely would not recommend this place. Their efforts to rush my service left me with a painful paper-cut under my nail and smudged nail polish. read more

The staff cuts corners to be able to save time and money. Instead of taking my gel nail polish off with acetone and scraping, the woman filed my nail down until it was RAW. I am a thin layer away from having no nail at all and they were not very apologetic about it. He rushed on everything, he left the old SNS on my nails because the new color I picked was "similar," he also left polish all around my nails, and some of the powder is uneven because he did not drill off the old set thoroughly. I understand that they had a lot of people in, but don't rush on someone just to get them in and out. There was also a part where he messed up, so I asked him to fix it please and he acted like I was burdening him, and then did a sloppy/rushed fix. The only small complaint that I have would be that got my eyebrows waxed here, and less than a week later, the hair was already growing back. I feel like from past experience, that is not normal. I've been getting SNS manicures here for over a year (with Phaun). The week of thanksgiving, myself and a friend went and were gifted with a nail fungus for free!! The worst part is, my friend went back and Phaun, rather than apologetically helping us, yelled at my friend and said it was her fault for not letting them know we had "weak nails" last I checked, fungal spores didn't discriminate. I went in for acrylics with a design. They suggested I try SNS nails (TOTALLY glad I did that!!). However, there was only one attempt at adding a design (was just geometric lines) and it was not good. So, she just got rid of the design and I walked out with plain nails. I wish there was more effort towards my design, but overall my experience was great. The ladies were friendly and the SNS is for sure the way to go! read more

I went to LV for a pedicure and SNS manicure. They were packed on a Thursday afternoon, but I didn't have to wait too long. Service was fine and they did a good job with my nails but I was appalled at how dirty/dusty the salon was. I understand a little dust if it's the end of a busy day, but this seemed like weeks (maybe months) of dust all over everything.
