BUYER BEWARE!!! Our…read moreson purchased an exhaust system and took it to MBS to install. He paid $361.00 for the "service". The next week he took his car to our mechanic to have new break pads installed. Our mechanic informed us the exhaust system was not only installed incorrectly but it also had a leak. He fixed the problem immediately. Upon his repairs, our son's car sounded like a completely different car; the way it was intended on sounding. We returned to MBS to see how they planned to make this dillema right. They looked over the vehicle and all they really cared about was why we didn't bring it back to them to fix. REALLY?? If you couldn't install it correctly the first time why we would we trust you to install it the 2nd time. Remember we are disputing service here NOT goods. Goods are returnable, services are only as good as your word, which in this case is not existent. One of their employees even had the gall to say an exhasust leak isn't dangerous nor flammable. Apparently she's had a bit of CO poisoning! That's when I knew we weren't dealing with a business or individuals that knew what they were doing. We won't be returning to MBS and will be sure to spread the word to our immediate and extended family and friends the same advice.

They also allowed me to make my downpayment in two installments. For someone like me, who ruined their credit in their early twenties and are still recovering, it's hard to find people who are willing to work with me on trying to get back on track. I've had the car for almost 4 years now and am paying on principle only. And the car is running great too. Got almost 75,000 miles out of the original tires, which is unheard of! Would definitely go back if I decide to stay in a VW the next time I upgrade. Although, I don't expect that to be any time soon, as I plan to keep this car for as long as it is running.

It cost him $485 to have one coil change. The labor charge was for an hour and half. After consulting several other shops, we realized that it was way over priced. Seriously, It is a rip off to charge $485 to have one coil changed. Please folks do a bit research before taking your car to this shop. Lesson learned.

These days, it's more like a three week book out, which must mean business is good. For this particular visit, we had several mileage maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. We were given a list by the Ford Dealership, and we brought that in for a quote with Cedar Crest Tire. The Ford Dealership also noted that we had evidence of an engine oil leak. I made the appointment at the beginning of July, and I got in on July 20th. They have a key drop box that we were able to use and leave the vehicle there the weekend prior. I got a call on Tuesday afternoon that my vehicle was ready for pick up. On my way into town, I swung by to pay the bill and get the key. I know that they have a ride service available, but I hoped by daughter would help me with the ride. We looked over the invoice and didn't see anything addressing the engine oil leak. He got a hold of the technician, and he said there was no evidence of a leak. Before bringing in the vehicle, I did call back to add an emissions service to the list of items, and that one was overlooked, but I wasn't billed for it either. I feel like my correspondence with them have always been professional, and my vehicles have always been repaired.

He came out that morning (missing his son's baseball tournament I might add). The fix was pretty straightforward but on my truck, he had to take a bunch of parts off to get to the leaking line, and then put 'em back on. Then another part was giving us fits so more parts off to get to that. He worked tirelessly all day into the night to get us going again. Fantastic work ethic and never gave up never showed the frustration he must've felt. With all he went through over 10+ hours, I can honestly say, the bill was very reasonable. We were impressed by the professionalism at Christian's Automotive, and we're happy with the…read moreservice we got. A retired mechanic friend recommended Christian's on Second for the 100k-mile service of my wife's car. My sister (in the business in another state) and my retired mechanic friend gave me an idea of what services should be included, what might be a good idea to check on and what to watch out for. Christian's had no problem giving me a quote on the phone when I called, and their list of recommended services were essentially identical to those given my my friend and sister. Further, they took the attitude of "Hey, let's wait and see what your vehicle looks like" regarding the optional ones to check-on. The quote was notably lower than the dealer's, by the way, and the process of _getting_ the quote and my conversation with the service rep at Christian's were SO much more confidence-inspiring. So, we made an appointment. Dropped it off - totally friendly. Within minutes I had a text with a pdf of a quote requesting work authorization. (This text also included hotlinks to videos explaining the various services.) I signed the pdf and Christian's started work right away. I got a couple more texts with additional info - things noted during the inpection along with recommendations and photographs supporting the recommendations. (Totally professional and totally efficient: I was able to review and approve these addenda while waiting for my connecting flight in another state.) I'd note that the recommendations were not always, "This needs to be done NOW" - one was, but one was "This should be done soon but is not crucial" and the third was "This is something to keep an eye on; we can replace it if you want, but I'd recommend you just leave it as is right now." Anyhow, the work was done on time and apparently the right way, and it was within the price quoted. Picking-up the car was a pleasant breeze (although I kicked myself for not grabbing a cup of coffee in the pleasant Christian's waiting area) and away we went - looks like we've got a new mechanic as the first to call for my wife's car. Edited for update: a week after the service, Christian's service advisor texted to make sure that everything was still groovy. Wow! We'll be back!
