    Sitting area

This is a sad lounge, it is located outside the gates far from anything. They have no screen showing flight times and will not display your flight information anywhere. The food is not food unless you crave eating just bread, butter, nuts and some sad sausages that have been there for probably 7 hours just sitting. Thank goodness alcohol is included but the selection is sparse . I would only come here if I truly had to and had a incredibly long layover . The people working here were pleasant.

It's old and smallish. Price: Up to your membership. Free for me because of my priority pass. Taste: Not so special but they have steaming long and skinny sausages. Wurst. Some salad and bread. I always drink their dry sparkling wine and German beer. When I drank whisky, I missed a flight. Fu.....! I wish they were much closer to gates.

Disgusting. THERE ARE MICE (apparently the airport is infested?), stains on the carpet, the tables and chairs clearly do not get wiped down or cleaned. The chairs in the front lounge are extremely worn and have crumbs, dandruff, and smell like greasy hair. Bathrooms are ok, but not well maintained. The food is mediocre. The people working there are very nice, but unfortunately did not make up for how gross the location was. On my return to airport I chose to not go based on prior experience. The location of the lounge is also challenging. It's located outside of the airport near arrivals. You have to go upstairs. Fairly hidden and annoying that it is outside the airport requiring going through security again.

For me, compared to waiting in an uncomfortable seat in the airport, almost any lounge with food and drinks gets a 4-5 star rating. Granted, I have Priority Pass through credit cards so the lounge is free. I don't think I would ever pay out of pocket to stay at any lounge no matter how nice it was. There was a decent selection of self-serve drinks, a coffee machine, and some food. The food options were not the best, but still good. I talked to a fellow traveler about our favorite artists - we both agreed on Charles P. Thompson. Just note that the lounge is before security, so plan accordingly to make sure you have enough time to get to the gate. I would have preferred to go to a lounge after security but I didn't know how easy it would be to transfer to a different terminal.

Came here during COVID. there was no self-service, but the waitress there to help. They had a few beers and wines (there was no hard alcohol) Food: They did have sausages and cheese, some nuts, bread... Fruit: bananas and apples. There was self-service coffee. I do not think it is worth 30 Euros, but it is worth if you have a pass. They have USB charges as well and there is free Wifi from the airport. Important to note, this is outside of the security zone

This is unfortunately the worst airport lounge I've been to. Difficult to find (just go outside gates), and super underwhelming when you finally get inside. Extremely basic lounge, worst selection of food (or lack thereof), fridge with beer and soda is barely cold. Would recommend skipping even if you have "free" access. No need to set yourself up for the disappointment

Adequate seating, basic selection of good quality. This is a great place to charge your devices and rest between flights. Not worth the cash price in my opinion, but a worthwhile stop if you have a membership.

It was all Luxx Lounge's fault! I had no intention to start my vacation drinking at 7 am in the morning. But the espresso machine was not working and there was not even hot water to make a tea?! That opened bottle of Presecco looked really inviting but at least I mixed in a touch of OJ to make it a mimosa? A perfect early morning drink to start my "drinking" vacation! Luxx Lounge located outside Security at the Departure Level of Terminal 1. Just give yourself plenty of time to get to your gate if you do decide to chill out here before your flight. Just remember you still need to go through Security and the line can be quite busy. A full open bar and even hot food. After being in UA lounges that only have peanuts, packaged cheese and crackers, the wieners serves here as least is "real" food! I will drop by LuxxLounge next time when I transfer through FRA again, which is quite often whenever I fly to Europe!

The lounge is good, but like most of the other reviews, it's on the curbside so you do have to go through security afterwards. The reason for 3*, not only the lounge is small, there were only 2 toilets and 2 showers. Honestly, the toilets were not as clean as I would have had expected. The public toilets would be just as clean. I am not sure about how clean the showers and towel service would be. The food selection is decent, though I didn't have much to eat. Seating is also limited.

The LuxxLounge is pretty difficult to get to when transferring within the Frankfurt airport. Firstly, the Frankfurt airport is huge and takes a long time to get between terminals. Secondly, the lounge is actually outside of security, above the check-in counters. Therefore, if you are transiting, you'd have to go back through security if you go to this lounge. The LuxxLounge accepts Priority Pass, which is great, but that's about where the good benefits ends. The lounge itself is pretty small and it was difficult to find seating for 2. The food selection is pretty limited to a handful of snacks and some wieners (it is German in the end). There is a self-serve bar. We stayed for a few hours during our first transit through Frankfurt but ended up just finding a spot in the terminal on our way back instead of making the trek to the LuxxLounge.

I had a 6 hour layover in Frankfurt (en route to India) and I couldn't quite leave the airport to visit friends without missing my flight so instead, really needed a place to relax and catch up on sleep without looking like a bum. Found that at Frankfurt Airport you have two choices, Luxx Lounge and Sky Lounge. I think all of the other lounges are exclusive to card members/ reward accounts. One downside is that Luxx (unlike Sky) requires you to leave the restricted area so you'll have to go through clearance all over again. I had no problem with getting directions on how to find Luxx, people seem to be knowledgable. Once I got there, I went straight to the bar/food area. They had fruit, muffins, OJ, wieners, Sprite, beer etc. The food selection could have been better but I took full advantage of the sleeping arrangement - they have an area for sleepers and in the back, an area for chatty folks. You have to prepay in advance online for a better rate (~$30) so make sure you plan ahead! Also the site says there is a 3 hour maximum but that didn't seem to be enforced at all. I'd recommend only if you're looking for a place to sleep and basic nourishment. This place has no frills. Update: The year is 2018 and I've returned since my last trip to Frankfurt Airport in Dec 2016. This time, I didn't pay and am using my Chase Reserves Priority Pass to gain complimentary access. The lounge is just the same as it was two years ago. Comfortable and basic.

Outside of security gate, so give yourself lots of time. Usual hot tea, coffee n expresso machine. open bar with beer, vodka, Campari , gin, ect Pop, fresh juices n apples. Only hot food for breakfast is wieners. Bread, jam, cheeses n cold cuts avail. Basic. Hot showers amazing n clean. Helpful staff Clean n comfortable arm chairs to rest up.

I had a 2+ hour layover on my way from New York (well Phoenix if you count the flight before it) to Budapest. I didn't feel like sitting in an empty airport, so I came out of security to go to Luxx Lounge with my Priority Pass card. Had a nice coffee and some snacks (bread & cheese + a hot dog) and charged my devices in comfortable chairs. By far not the nicest lounge or the most convenient, but I'd make the trek again with this much time.

Not a fan of this lounge. Small and crowded. Passengers asleep in chairs taking up space. Food offerings weren't great either. No thanks

It was enjoyably quiet and mellow. The lounge has a self-serve bar which is very nice and features a variety of liquor, mixers, draft and bottled beer, and more. There are a few cappuccino, espresso and cafe stations scattered throughout the lounge. Additionally, a self-serve food buffet serves everything from a warm hearty meal to a delightful salad bar. For the holidays, the Senator lounge also featured a delicious port wine and fresh slices of stollen. Complimentary magazines and newspapers were available to read at two stations throughout the lounge. This review covers my overall experience with the LH lounge at Frankfurt Airport…read more Will not return: it's difficult to get in. The lounge itself is okay: spacious, clean, with various seating options. The drinks are much better than the food. It has four showers and a large business section. Getting in, however, is a challenge. Before this incident, I didn't pay attention to their two lounge types: Senator and Business, and my credit cards and ticket gave me access to both. I wasn't planning to use their lounge because: - The layover was short, but the first leg of the trip on LH from Krakow was delayed. - I have other easy options. But flying Lufthansa, I see their mustard-yellow lounges right off the plane. The first one, a Senator lounge, greeted me first. A woman by the door said, "Oh, you can't go," after I showed her my access code on their LH App. "Really? Why?" "You just can't," she replied. "So, the code doesn't work?" "You just can't," she insisted. "May I see your supervisor?" I asked, snapping a photo before she left to find someone. "Did you just take a photo of me?" she asked. "No, I just took a photo; you may be part of it." She went inside and soon reappeared with a tall white man. "Are you the supervisor?" I asked. "Did you take a photo of her?" he asked. "Yes, because she happens to be there." "Delete it," he instructed. "It's a public space," I said. "It's not allowed in Germany," he responded. I think that's not true, but why argue with a self-important buffoon? I deleted the photo. He looked satisfied and tersely said, "You can't use the code," then walked away. Did he get high on bullying a little old Asian woman? Okay, you won't key in with the code. Neither of them asked me what kind of access credentials I have. If you don't want to deal with your co-brand North American credit card, do NOT publicly offer it as a benefit. I didn't sign up for free LH lounge access. I found his manner repellent and somewhat amusing: I'd think by 2025, everyone would know that a deleted photo can be recovered from the 'Recently Deleted' folder with two clicks. Is he dumb, or is he just another of their army of counter-agents, taking pleasure in harassing customers? If you still think German precision is great, consider that their trains are often running late and that airport escalators have been broken for years... I don't know... Germany used to be the engine of Europe, but their top airline can't even scan a code properly. (The same goes for the Old Opera House in Frankfurt; they couldn't scan the ticket they emailed me. I had to print it out. For Pete's sake, save a tree or two, will you?) On my way to Centurion, I passed by another LH lounge (I think there are 14 of them in FRA) near my gate. I checked my email, and bingo, it worked, allowing me to write this. I won't be flying Lufthansa again anytime soon.
