Due to air traffic delays we had over five hours to kill in Frankfurt after missing our morning connection to Oslo. We had to cross back into the Z terminal (cleared customs) to see the United service desk and decided to stay in this Senator lounge. The Senator lounge in the Z terminal was the first of two Senator lounges we visited during this time. Star Alliance Gold level got us in. We liked the large and open feel of this lounge which felt nicer than the Polaris lounges. Amenities included showers and even a sleep room in the back but didn't try either on this trip. The food selection was decent with a cold section of salads, snack bar and hot food/desserts area. There were multiple coffee machines throughout the lounge, self pour alcohol and soda dispensers. By 1pm the lounge emptied out and it got even quieter. We had a whole section of the lounge to ourselves until we headed off to the lounge closer to our gate. Will definitely choose this location next time we're flying through Frankfurt.

Stopped here but unfortunately didn't have much time. If you're flying to the US via Z gates this is the Lounge and is located right before the turn to Z 50. I liked the set-up and flow of the offers. They have a coffee and breakfast Bar in the middle as you enter with Alcohol (full bar) and food against the wall. A great variety of options. At lunch time, two types of Soup & open faced sandwich. Meal of the day was Traditional Meatballs, Dumplings or Chicken Drumsticks. Sides included Spaetzle and saw a basket of pretzels-yes! Spacious with plenty of seating/windows throughout and although slightly busy, was clean. Friendly people in front for check-in. Overall, one of the nicer Lufthansa lounges and worth the stop.

Outstanding. For an airline lounge. Very spacious. Food selection is excellent. I stopped in between flights on my way to Poland. Breakfast was on the menu. Plenty of space to relax. It's pour your own booze - I kid you not. We need this in US clubs. Great coffee machines too. Very impressed. When in FAM airport, drop in. A must.

Not a bad lounge. I have been to better, but considering we were not even sure if we could access it, it was nice to be accepted. The attendant at the desk was very nice and patient as we explained that we were traveling on United ticket but code shared with Lufthansa. Normally, our class of service did not offer lounge access, but since my wife has international UA Club Lounge service we asked if that would work. She checked and approved. We had about two hours in the morning. The breakfast was actually nice. Better than some UA lounges, and the drinks were there to pour with no one watching over your shoulder. Was too early for me to indulge, but did enjoy the treats. Lunch came early and my wife enjoyed that as well. The lounge was nice and open. I would have given it 5 stars, but the lounge had a smoking area. Come on people of Germany, get with the program. Even if sealed in a little room, it was still disgusting if you sat near to it, as we did. I tolerated it as I am a casual smoker, but was not pleasant for the wife every time someone entered or exited. Other than that, it was a nice experience.

This particular Lufthansa lounge is located at the terminal 1 gate G, they offer wide variety of food and drinks. Very spacious inside and each seating areas are so far enough, very nice place to relax while waiting for your flight. Very generous selection of alcohols available to satisfy your needs. Showers are available after a long international flight. Nap room is in the back and very dark and quiet should you need a quick nap. They have regular chairs as well as relaxing chairs. Food selection is plenty for a quick meal before the flight. Service is friendly and prompt. They speak excellent English to help any of your travel needs.

Therefore, if you use this lounge before catching a flight, give yourself plenty of time, as you will have to go through security again[1]. The layout of the lounge is also odd, as it develops length-wise, with the food/drinks area connecting two long rooms where tables and armchairs are located. Not all armchairs have access to a power outlet, and in fact there are extension cords in between armchairs, which I've never seen at an airport lounge. No TV's. The bathroom has only 2 stalls and 1 sink. Bottom line: if you have a long layover, then it's worth spending those few hours at this lounge; if not, then it's not worth it. ------------------------ [1] On top of Frankfurt airport being very big.

It's not the nicest lounge and there are limited snacks and food. No tv's. The place is being…read morerenovated right now, which is good because there are stains all over the old carpet and the decor is old and in general it's just run down. However, if you have a long layover it's worth it to relax, grab a snack and or a drink from the open / self-serve bar. The gentleman at check in was very nice. Besides the stains and outdated furniture it was clean / picked up. There is wifi. Of note, this is OUTSIDE of security. Immediately after dropping bags, go upstairs between hall B & C to find this lounge.

This review covers my overall experience with the LH lounge at Frankfurt Airport…read more Will not return: it's difficult to get in. The lounge itself is okay: spacious, clean, with various seating options. The drinks are much better than the food. It has four showers and a large business section. Getting in, however, is a challenge. Before this incident, I didn't pay attention to their two lounge types: Senator and Business, and my credit cards and ticket gave me access to both. I wasn't planning to use their lounge because: - The layover was short, but the first leg of the trip on LH from Krakow was delayed. - I have other easy options. But flying Lufthansa, I see their mustard-yellow lounges right off the plane. The first one, a Senator lounge, greeted me first. A woman by the door said, "Oh, you can't go," after I showed her my access code on their LH App. "Really? Why?" "You just can't," she replied. "So, the code doesn't work?" "You just can't," she insisted. "May I see your supervisor?" I asked, snapping a photo before she left to find someone. "Did you just take a photo of me?" she asked. "No, I just took a photo; you may be part of it." She went inside and soon reappeared with a tall white man. "Are you the supervisor?" I asked. "Did you take a photo of her?" he asked. "Yes, because she happens to be there." "Delete it," he instructed. "It's a public space," I said. "It's not allowed in Germany," he responded. I think that's not true, but why argue with a self-important buffoon? I deleted the photo. He looked satisfied and tersely said, "You can't use the code," then walked away. Did he get high on bullying a little old Asian woman? Okay, you won't key in with the code. Neither of them asked me what kind of access credentials I have. If you don't want to deal with your co-brand North American credit card, do NOT publicly offer it as a benefit. I didn't sign up for free LH lounge access. I found his manner repellent and somewhat amusing: I'd think by 2025, everyone would know that a deleted photo can be recovered from the 'Recently Deleted' folder with two clicks. Is he dumb, or is he just another of their army of counter-agents, taking pleasure in harassing customers? If you still think German precision is great, consider that their trains are often running late and that airport escalators have been broken for years... I don't know... Germany used to be the engine of Europe, but their top airline can't even scan a code properly. (The same goes for the Old Opera House in Frankfurt; they couldn't scan the ticket they emailed me. I had to print it out. For Pete's sake, save a tree or two, will you?) On my way to Centurion, I passed by another LH lounge (I think there are 14 of them in FRA) near my gate. I checked my email, and bingo, it worked, allowing me to write this. I won't be flying Lufthansa again anytime soon.
