While she was representing the seller as well, we initially felt she is a reasonable person and good realtor. She was enthused by the perspective of commission on three multimillion dollar houses. During the escrow period we increasingly grew suspicious that she was not acting as a fiduciary for us but was favoring the interests of the seller. Ms Leahy recommended a company to perform the house inspection. The inspector failed to identify a major problem with the furnace which was not up to code. This problem was identified by our HVAC company when they came to provide an estimate for installing AC. The inspector also failed to recognize serious structural issues with to large balconies where the support was eaten by thermites and rotten. When we confronted the inspector he immediately refunded the inspection price asking us to sign a waiver for any other problem we find. We suspect this inspector was chosen by Ms Leahy because she knew he would not identify and report serious problems. Additional problems occurred when we discovered water damage that had been concealed but the seller and the realtor. When we first saw the house the garage was impeccable with white walls. After a heavy rainstorm on a subsequent visit the garage walls had turned orange and brown and the paint was blistering showing obvious water penetration through the walls. The agent told us that the seller had "waterproofed" the walls by painting a coat of water proofing product on the inside of the garage walls and then repainted all the walls. Obviously, the seller and the agent were aware of the water penetration prompting them to incorrectly waterproofed the walls from the inside, but they failed to disclose this fact to us. If it had not been for the big rainstorm we would only have found out after purchasing the home. As we planned to remodel the home we brought contractors in to the house on several occasions including an electrician how also noticed water drops running down the ceiling in one fo the upstairs bedrooms indicative of a roof leak. When he alerted us of this problem Ms Leahy became very upset telling out contractors they could not roam around the house anymore. After this our relationship with Ms Leahy became tense and uncomfortable. We were trying to have out contractors look at the roof to assess the damage but Ms Leahy was working with the seller rapidly to have the roof "fixed" without keeping us in the loop or allowing us to inspect the roof before repair. A couple of hours before closing Ms Leahy refused access to the property to our gardener who was trying to drop off some flowerpots for us. She had met before but pretended to not know him and forbid him to go to the backyard or leave the pots. Recently we started heaving heavy termite dropping on the balcony, 10 months after fumigation performed by the seller. Investigating the problem we found out form a neighbor that the tent had a gapping whole while it was fumigated (we have video evidence of that). We called the termite company who came and cut a section of our brand-new facia boards to assess termite activity. They concluded that there are no termites. WE got a second opinion form another company who told us there is termites activity. We have contact Ms Leahy by email and text messages several times as the fumigation was done by her on behalf of the sellers. She never replied or even acknowledged receiving the messages. Lastly Ms Leahy misrepresented the circumstances of the owner's death in the house. She assured us that he passed away peacefully in his bed of old age surrounded by his children. We learn from our neighbors, who Ms Leahy told us not to talk to because they are "crazy" that the former owner was very sick and died from because of his sickness. In summary, Ms Leahy has been and continue to be utterly unprofessional and should not be allowed to behave like that. While we understand the inherent conflict of interest of a double agent, we believe it is their duty to keep both parties best interests at heart and not systematically side with one party in the transaction, regardless of her previous relationship with the parties.

I was assured it would not be an issue. Lost the dream home due to errors on the agents assessment of the situation in the Oceanside community and had no idea of the inventory levels and time on market. Completely clueless about technology. The company is using antiquated applications and the agent had no idea how to use the software. All I asked for was something similar to what realtor.com or Zillow has free online. Change my searches, save houses I like. She had no clue they even had access to the software. Again - Veterans find an agency that is familiar with/specializes in VA loans. You served the country. Don't lose something over an agent at a company that is stuck in 1975 technology wise. Thank you for your service - you will not find "service" at this establishment.

Devon took things personally & reacted as such. Question for you?? How can I have how can I have roommate conflict if I never lived there? I never spent a single day in that property . I was fully prepared to pay my portion of the lease for the year & not live there. While the roommate you say I had conflict with was actively looking for someone to take over my part & after a month decided to move out the email you received in late December we followed all of your obligations to find replacements after we eventually found someone that was worthy of your approval... Devon "legally" threatened me with an eviction notice on an empty house ( knowing it was vacant from Jan 4th) after someone else signed the lease .. embarrassing because that petty bully didn't get her way " pay by noon or I'll shut it off" I responded I don't give a shit. If I was a manager or owner & had any dignity in my workplace I'd be ashamed to have somebody like her working for my company. She is so unprofessional and takes things personally & reacts as such as your other tenants they call her a snake.. since you tried to turn this around is clear why you'd defend that behavior. I said from the beginning that's why I would much rather deal with Carrissa than Devon any day of the week. The problem was never simply that roommates were not getting along. .. if you can read which I'm sure you can or least I am hoping so , unless ChatGPT read it to you .. the problem was Devon's repeated unprofessionalism, poor communication, I will screenshot messages of us asking for pictures of the property to where she refused to until Carrissa sent it , and the way this situation was handled from start to finish. Throughout the entire process, we followed every instruction given to us, actively searched for replacement applicants, submitted multiple qualified people, and continued doing everything your office requested. Yet those applicants were repeatedly denied, creating unnecessary delays and financial burden. Instead of acknowledging the concerns raised about Devon's conduct, your response reads like an attempt to shift blame and rewrite the situation around lease terms that we were already actively trying to comply with. What stands out most is that even now, rather than addressing employee behavior, professionalism, or customer treatment, management continues to focus only on protecting itself while ignoring the experience that led to this review in the first place. Anyone considering using this company should take the time to read the other reviews as well, because this pattern clearly is not isolated. Based on our experience, this property management company was frustrating, unnecessarily difficult to deal with, and not worth the time, money, or stress.

Was originally managed by another company, but switched to CGP maybe 6-8 months after I moved in. As the poster below writes, they property manager turnover is insane. I think we have had at least 7 property managers since they started managing the apartment. And each one complains constantly about how much they have to do and how they're just learning the ropes so "bear with them" while they get up to speed. I think it's all an act so they can avoid actually doing anything. That or maybe they're so stressed from working at this awful company that all they can do is complain to their residents about how hard their jobs are. My apartment (at Antone Corp) is falling apart: chunks of ceiling falling off, closet doors falling off tracks, cabinet doors peeling and falling off, gross old carpets and floors and lousy with termites but the grounds are well maintained and the rent is reasonable for San Diego. I was quite happy living here until today because I'm a grad student and I'm happy to put up with a dilapidated apartment if the rent is decent. Also, one of the primary reasons I live here is because my work requires frequent stretches of travel of long duration (up to 2 months), and I have a place to park my car when I'm traveling without worrying about being towed. Today my car was towed from my assigned spot because they suddenly decided to tear down the carports when my roommate was out of town and I was leaving for a work trip. I don't have a copy of my roommate's keys and she was out of email and phone contact. Also not sure if I'm legally allowed to move her property without her knowledge or permission (leaving it in a place for a long duration where it could be towed as well). I also went out of town shortly thereafter, and would have had to leave our vehicles on the street or at the local grocery store (what the property manager said to do) where I certainly would have been (rightfully) towed. I communicated this right after receiving the notice to our new property manager Greg (I think he's been here three weeks) and he said he'd talk to the owner and get back to me. He didn't. Until yesterday, when they emailed me to tell me I had until 7am this morning to move my car. I told them I'm out of the country and can't move my car with 16 hours notice. Today they emailed me to tell me they towed my car. I complained to the regional manager Maegan and was told that it's "not their problem" if I can't move my car because I'm out of the country. She said that they're not legally required to give any notice at all, and the notice posted on my door was sufficient. You're telling me that I'm not even allowed to go away for a weekend without risking getting my legally-parked car towed from my assigned spot? I'm sorry, I thought I was renting an apartment, not in prison. Maegan also said something about a section in the lease that says they only need to give 24 hours notice to make repairs, but later said they're not required to give notice of repairs at all. I repeatedly asked her to tell me the sections of the lease where these things were stated (I've read the lease and none of what she was saying was in there) and she would misdirect to something else. I asked her how she suggested I should have moved the vehicles when I'm not in the country and she said I could have contracted my own towing company to tow my vehicles somewhere else. What? Also how am I supposed to see a notice on my door when I'm in a different country? Did I miss a clause in my lease that only clairvoyants are allowed to live here? And oh my god, the notices. Barely a day goes by when I don't come home to some random notice posted on my door. This company has felled several forests with the number of notices they print out. They have apparently never heard of email (except when they're claiming you've violated your lease for not moving your car at their whim). One person three buildings over smokes weed once and there's a notice on everyone's door about the smoking policy. We're not even allowed to have one potted plant near our door because of "fire hazards". Just empty beige hallways. One of our first CGP property managers (Tammy) kept saying we never gave her a copy of our key and we needed to provide a copy. We gave her at least three copies. She lost all of them. Then she claimed her irresponsible assistant accidentally threw the keys away. She didn't have an assistant. Every new property manager also contacts us to tell us our dog is not allowed to live with us. We don't have a dog. To this day I have not figured out why they are so convinced we have one. I could go on forever but I should stop. I'm pretty sure this whole car thing is just a way to piss me off so I leave and then they can jack up the rent. Well, it worked, because there's no way I want to continue living here or any other CGP property after this.
