I figured I'd get all the pleasures of driving without a pesky $1000 car payment devouring my wallet. I found out about Lou La Vie through a mutual friend and decided to reach out to them regarding renting a car. They had my car available on the dates that I wanted it and on top of it they were willing to help me out in terms of getting a great rate, so I reserved the car the same day. On our anniversary, I went to pick up the car with her in tow and was greeted by the president of the company, who helped me sign all the important paperwork and helped deliver the car. I was blown away by the attention to detail and level of service that they provided, offering to give us a tour of the car and mentioning a few hotspots in the local area that we should check out on our anniversary. They even brought out the car and helped us transfer some of the essentials that was in our vehicle and secured our vehicle in their garage. Lastly, they gave us some recommendations and important details about the car, such as functions they believed would be important to us. The car itself was absolutely brilliant. My driving mode oscillated between casually cruising and aggressively ripping through the gears, and the car never felt lackluster or unequipped to handle some truly spirited driving - like when chasing a sports bike along the 836. When we returned the next day to drop off the vehicle, it was surreal. There's this sinking feeling in your gut that you're going to go back to riding in something that drove about as well as you'd imagine a refrigerator drive, but there was also a burning feeling that this car and this experience with Lou La Vie had made me want to blow every paycheck at the chance to get behind the wheel of that beautiful machine once again.

I am more than $600 in repairs (just to inspect the full extent of the damage) and three weeks of loss of income and unable to use my vehicle. They reply to my emails every 2-3 days with the most absurd questions. I submitted a comprehensive claim with pictures, estimates, etc. it has been a nightmare. Customer Service and Claims have different emails. CS is very apologetic and reflective, but they don't resolve anything and redirect to claims. In claims you wonder if they are truly reviewing anything or just waiting for you to get tired of following up.

Our driver (I forgot his name, so sorry) was fun and extremely knowledgeable about the city's history, and architecture. He took great pics of us, and would stop anywhere along the route you want to for a photo op. No rushing at all, very laid back. We rode in a1960 Buick Electra, "the deuce and a quarter", it was beautiful, and so much fun to ride in. The pedestrians' reactions to the car was so fun, too, all smiles and waving, and taking pics. Our driver offered water and gave us really cool handheld fans. Also, he's vaccinated, so that was a personal plus for us. A nice touch and a little souvenir, too. It was a good time, I highly recommend this tour!
