On a long drive from Chicago to Texas sometimes you need to just crash. This is place is NO frills, cheap and simple.

This is by far the best hotel we've ever stayed in while traveling…read more I was so grateful for how reassuring the reviews were. Usually, when you're on the road and don't have reservations, you end up stopping and staying in hotels that are less than ideal. This Comfort Inn was thankfully nothing like that! We were surprised to find a full parking lot and lucky to get a room. Our biggest need was a hotel that was pet friendly, but not too noisy where our girl would bark throughout the night. I have no idea how a full hotel can be so quiet, but our dog didn't bark once. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast exceeded expectations for a hotel like this. We came down for breakfast around an hour before it ended and there was still a lot of food. The spread included cheese omelets, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and waffles. They even have a specialty coffee maker where you can get a latte or cappuccino among other things. It was so good! If we ever find ourselves on the road in this area again, this hotel would be our first choice for a stop!

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel…read moreexperiences I have ever had. We were in town for a funeral, already exhausted from driving, and the last thing we expected was to have to deal with the level of cleanliness--or lack thereof--that we encountered. As soon as we checked in, we did our usual quick inspection of the room. We understand that a hotel room will never be as clean as our own home, but basic cleanliness and sanitation should still be a standard. Unfortunately, this room was far from that. The shower appeared as though it had not been properly cleaned in weeks. There was a dark, black ring around the shower floor and a large clump of hair left on the shower rail, as if someone had recently washed their hair and simply left it behind. There were also visible stains on the supposedly clean towels. The surfaces looked as though they had received a very quick wipe-down, while dust was still clearly visible throughout the remaining of these surfaces. There were even handprints on the headboard. At that point, we were so disgusted that we were uncomfortable even pulling back the sheets. We immediately went to the front desk to address our concerns and requested either a different room or for someone to come clean the bathroom. The front desk employee told us that there was no one available to clean the room but offered to move us to another room. When we arrived at the replacement room, the door was completely open and the room was dark. We cautiously entered, but unfortunately, the room was significantly smaller than the one we had paid for and still dirty. Since we are a family of four and had specifically paid for the largest room, we decided that moving was not a reasonable option and returned to our original room. I took pictures of the condition of the room and showed them to the front desk employee. Even she appeared disgusted by what she saw and said she could come upstairs and clean the shower. Two employees came to the room with spray bottles to address the shower. However, they never even turned on the water. They sprayed the shower a few times and picked up the clump of hair, but the shower was not actually cleaned or scrubbed. At that point, we were exhausted, frustrated, and in town for a funeral. Rather than complaining, we simply went to Walmart, purchased our own cleaning supplies, and cleaned the bathroom ourselves. We should never have been put in a position where we had to purchase cleaning supplies and clean a hotel bathroom that we had already paid to stay in. This experience was completely unacceptable. Basic cleanliness is not an unreasonable expectation--it is the bare minimum when paying to stay at a hotel. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone. More importantly, this experience has completely changed my opinion of the Comfort Suites brand, and I personally will not be staying at another Comfort Suites in the future. I sincerely hope management takes this complaint seriously because the condition of this room and the response from staff fell far below what any paying guest should have to accept.

We felt grateful and glad that we chose this hotel as it was one of the safest places we've stayed in so far. Located off I-40, it was both convenient and easily accessible. We saw so many cars and trucks with trailers (moving just like us) parked next to us which made us feel even more safer. Our room was clean and just what we needed. Staff were courteous and the hotel was in great condition. There were renovations going on but that didn't cause any inconvenience while entering/exiting or during parking. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for both short & long term stays.

Second the pillow cases and some towels were stained. The pillow cases looked as if someone had slept on them or they forgot to take them out of the dryer. They were very wrinkled! They need to update their linens and towels. Nasty fly in the room killed it with the remote. He must have been on his last leg. Room smelled like feet and the bed was sooooo hard! The men's bathroom in the main area was nasty and all clogged up. Although the hotel is very quiet from outside noise but don't try to sleep in because the maids are busy slamming doors left and right, over and over. They need rubber stoppers to put in the door. Also the bathroom door the handle was jacked so it was hard to get it to even close. On another note tho the maids were very nice... so now I am torn

He cares about his guests and is very friendly. i enjoyed chatting with him upon arrival & check out. This hotel is super close to a ton of restaurants and gas stations and it the most reasonably priced hotel within miles.. and ive done tons of research. Forrest City is also populated well with police presence(the police station is close and the officers and ther families frequent the local restaurants) making me feel super safe in an unknown(to me) city. It is tucked away in a corner of the end of a street and both times we have stayed, we have felt safe and it's nice and quiet. All of the people in this city are also very friendly. The beds are super comfortable and that is importsnt to me. AC cools perfectly and rooms are always perfectly clean. I cannot comment on breakfast as both times we have stayed, we have left very early and havent eaten.

I stopped at the Day's Inn because it is tied to a national chain so I figured it would meet a…read morenational standard. This one? Not so much. The building is 1960s style with each room having an outside window and door. No inside hallway. So it must be at least 50 years old and in need of a complete remodel or tear down and replace. Room furniture is not that old so the rooms must have been redecorated more recently. My room had a microwave, frig, and flat TV. This is the 3rd hotel this trip where the TV Controller didn't work. That makes 3 out of 5 so far. Has the tech level of TV controllers become to complicated for an average hotel worker? Its beginning to appear to be the situation I'm dealing with. This one would change channels, but you had to turn the TV on and off using an obscure button on the back of the TV. No on/off function on the remote. Its a programming the remote tech problem too complicated for the housekeeping staff. Its also a problem of the TV makers because they are not user friendly. Many average people can't operate them. The hotel industry needs TV tech training for its staff, and since they buy a lot of TVs the hotel industry should demand easier to use controls. The bathtub faucets in this room do not shut off entirely. A constant and NOISY sound of water running down the drain is only partly blocked by closing the bathroom door. It also wastes hundreds of gallons of water per day. The price of water would rapidly pay for a plumber to fix it. This tub/shower has two OLD separate hot and cold faucets that nobody has installed in a hotel in 50 years. No wonder they no longer work. It also has no bidet for personal cleanliness, nor a urinal for men to pee standing up. The heat in my room worked but was quite noisy. The smoke detector in my room had a small round hole that some on-line sources say may be a video monitor. It may be something else. The bed was OK. Several pillows were provided but they were all shaped like marshmallows. Round and puffy, too thick for my neck. Just right for watching TV if you could figure out how to turn it on. Not good for sleeping. A couple of thinner pillows instead of all thick pillows would have provided variety for guests to choose from. This hotel was close to I-40 and had easy access. It has a Mexican style restaurant attached. There is plenty of convenient parking right outside of the rooms. An old dirty feeling guest laundry and vending area was available, and a small exercise room. The laundry machines were in use, perhaps by the traveling work crews who's trucks are parked in the lot. The ice machine in the vending are had sufficient ice. The price was cheap. I pretty much got what I paid for. Next time maybe I'll stop somewhere else. This hotel was barefoot friendly.
