The checking in process was fairly quick, once the hotel employee finished her personal call. This seems to be a problem I 'm experiencing with the Comfort Inn & Suites. The room was huge much larger than most of the rooms we have stayed in during our road trip to Michigan and back to CA. They serve a hot breakfast each morning between 6-10 am and offer fresh popped popcorn and cookies in the evening. Nice touch. Some of the guest services include: coin operated laundry, high speed internet, newspaper, safe deposit boxes, swimming pool, hot tub, vending machines and more. The high speed internet was a joke. We couldn't use our phones to call out, Yelp, email, and text, surf the web or anything. Unless, you went into the hallway or lobby of the hotel. This was a total inconvenience. So, at checkout I politely explained my frustration with the lack of internet in my room and the front desk person made an adjustment to our bill. Thank you so much. Overall, our stay here was very nice we enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and the hot breakfast was a good start to our morning

The room suite is very nice, the service was friendly and professional, and you can tell this place is brand spanking new, but for $99+/night, I shouldn't be able to hear the elevator ding or the tv/yelling/dresser drawers being slammed from the room next door and I should be able to close my curtains all the way. I'd expect thin walls from an EconoLodge or Super8 maybe even a Hampton, but a brand new, all suite, Choice hotel? I'm thinking they skimped on the insulation and extra curtain material to put the freestanding waterfall in the lobby...definite oversight in priorities. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again. I love Comfort Suites, they are usually affordable luxury, and am a frequent Choice Hotels guest, but I'll save a few $$ and stay somewhere next time where paper thin walls and having to wear earplugs to sleep doesn't cost $112 w/tax.

I've stayed in this Comfort Suites several times now. The location is easy to find right off I-40. The check-in process always goes smoothly. The one time I wasn't happy with a cleaning odor in the room I was moved immediately without question. The clerks are always professional, friendly and the first to help make your stay issue free. The rooms have a fridge and microwave in each room. This is one of the highlights for me as I have medication that requires refrigeration. The microwave comes in handy for popcorn or heating left overs from dinner. The beds are always comfortable and I sleep well. The crazy little pillows are annoying but not something I can't live with. The breakfast bar has a nice assortment of hot and cold items. There's always hot eggs, sausage or bacon, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal and make your own waffles. Cereal, fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt and hard boiled eggs cover most of the cold items. The breakfast area is always clean and buffet refilled quickly with a comfortable dining area.

Clean enough but a bit dated. If you're looking for a place to lay your head and catch some z's then this will do.

We felt grateful and glad that we chose this hotel as it was one of the safest places we've stayed in so far. Located off I-40, it was both convenient and easily accessible. We saw so many cars and trucks with trailers (moving just like us) parked next to us which made us feel even more safer. Our room was clean and just what we needed. Staff were courteous and the hotel was in great condition. There were renovations going on but that didn't cause any inconvenience while entering/exiting or during parking. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for both short & long term stays.

Second the pillow cases and some towels were stained. The pillow cases looked as if someone had slept on them or they forgot to take them out of the dryer. They were very wrinkled! They need to update their linens and towels. Nasty fly in the room killed it with the remote. He must have been on his last leg. Room smelled like feet and the bed was sooooo hard! The men's bathroom in the main area was nasty and all clogged up. Although the hotel is very quiet from outside noise but don't try to sleep in because the maids are busy slamming doors left and right, over and over. They need rubber stoppers to put in the door. Also the bathroom door the handle was jacked so it was hard to get it to even close. On another note tho the maids were very nice... so now I am torn

He cares about his guests and is very friendly. i enjoyed chatting with him upon arrival & check out. This hotel is super close to a ton of restaurants and gas stations and it the most reasonably priced hotel within miles.. and ive done tons of research. Forrest City is also populated well with police presence(the police station is close and the officers and ther families frequent the local restaurants) making me feel super safe in an unknown(to me) city. It is tucked away in a corner of the end of a street and both times we have stayed, we have felt safe and it's nice and quiet. All of the people in this city are also very friendly. The beds are super comfortable and that is importsnt to me. AC cools perfectly and rooms are always perfectly clean. I cannot comment on breakfast as both times we have stayed, we have left very early and havent eaten.

Tc had plenty of stations and was easy to use. Hard laminate flooring which was different but fine. First floor with access to the outside. Easy with the dog. I stopped at the Day's Inn because it is tied to a national chain so I figured it would meet a…read morenational standard. This one? Not so much. The building is 1960s style with each room having an outside window and door. No inside hallway. So it must be at least 50 years old and in need of a complete remodel or tear down and replace. Room furniture is not that old so the rooms must have been redecorated more recently. My room had a microwave, frig, and flat TV. This is the 3rd hotel this trip where the TV Controller didn't work. That makes 3 out of 5 so far. Has the tech level of TV controllers become to complicated for an average hotel worker? Its beginning to appear to be the situation I'm dealing with. This one would change channels, but you had to turn the TV on and off using an obscure button on the back of the TV. No on/off function on the remote. Its a programming the remote tech problem too complicated for the housekeeping staff. Its also a problem of the TV makers because they are not user friendly. Many average people can't operate them. The hotel industry needs TV tech training for its staff, and since they buy a lot of TVs the hotel industry should demand easier to use controls. The bathtub faucets in this room do not shut off entirely. A constant and NOISY sound of water running down the drain is only partly blocked by closing the bathroom door. It also wastes hundreds of gallons of water per day. The price of water would rapidly pay for a plumber to fix it. This tub/shower has two OLD separate hot and cold faucets that nobody has installed in a hotel in 50 years. No wonder they no longer work. It also has no bidet for personal cleanliness, nor a urinal for men to pee standing up. The heat in my room worked but was quite noisy. The smoke detector in my room had a small round hole that some on-line sources say may be a video monitor. It may be something else. The bed was OK. Several pillows were provided but they were all shaped like marshmallows. Round and puffy, too thick for my neck. Just right for watching TV if you could figure out how to turn it on. Not good for sleeping. A couple of thinner pillows instead of all thick pillows would have provided variety for guests to choose from. This hotel was close to I-40 and had easy access. It has a Mexican style restaurant attached. There is plenty of convenient parking right outside of the rooms. An old dirty feeling guest laundry and vending area was available, and a small exercise room. The laundry machines were in use, perhaps by the traveling work crews who's trucks are parked in the lot. The ice machine in the vending are had sufficient ice. The price was cheap. I pretty much got what I paid for. Next time maybe I'll stop somewhere else. This hotel was barefoot friendly.

I went to the office to get a new room and this time somebody else came out of the adjoining apartment. The gentleman that came out asked me how the bed got dirty. I told him I didn't know as I had just checked in. He said he didn't know who messed up. I said I just arrived here I haven't even had time to mess up the bed. He then said to me that he didn't know who messed up the bed, maybe it was me, maybe it was somebody else, how could he know? Talk about gaslighting? At this point, my level of frustration was very high. He finally offered me another room. I went to the new room and that bed was not a cleaned room, at least not the kind that I am accustomed to! The room (like the other) stunk of cigarette smoke and body odor. I had to wash all of the clothes that I had on and wash my hair because everything stunk from the room. I had tried laying on top of the blankets when I first went in, but it just stunk so badly I just couldn't. At that point it was about 1 o'clock in the morning, and I just went to sleep in my car. I had a pet with me that I'd left in the room when I went to the car I tried to nap for a short time, before going in getting my animal and getting in the car and driving to a rest, stop down the road to sleep. In hindsight I think that this hotel is one of illegal commerce such as drugs and or sex. Unless that's your trade, I do not recommend this place at all. I couldn't wait to check into the next hotel room early to shower, wash my clothes and get into a CLEAN bed.
