Dora was the absolute most thorough and diligent housekeeper that we have ever witnessed. She was on time, she did everything requested and more. The quality of the work performed was above reproach. She brought all of her own equipment, and it was top tier. This was for a three bedroom, two bathroom home that is around 1300 square feet. And everything was sparkling. The stove. The showers. The floors. The fans!! The cost was also one of the most competitive prices given during this solicitation, and The Art of Clean Agency was our first choice - and their bid was legit. We were so impressed with the job well done and Dora is an absolute Grade A human being who took her time to not just ensure we were happy with the results, but ensured we knew if there was ANYTHING we felt needed done better or was not done, to bring it to her attention. That. Was. Not. Necessary. The job was absolutely perfect and I could not give a higher recommendation for a cleaning agency. Top tier - best of the best.

Not only is she genuinely the sweetest, kindest soul, but she is absolutely impeccable at what she does. She took her time, paid attention to all the little details, and really made sure everything was actually clean rather than just rushing through to get it done. By the time she left, my home felt completely refreshed and I finally felt like I could breathe again. There is something extra special about someone who not only does an incredible job, but brings such grace, warmth, and kindness into your home while doing it. Truly, it almost feels like healing work. There is something about having someone come into your space, care for it with that much intention, and leave it lighter than they found it that just hits differently. And honestly, the experience was wonderful from start to finish. From my first inquiry, to booking, to the actual cleaning, everyone was so kind, responsive, and pleasant to work with. I genuinely could not be happier. I've tried other cleaning companies before and somehow you usually end up with at least that tiny little ping of disappointment. Something was missed, something felt rushed, something just wasn't quite what you hoped for. There was not one area of disappointment here. Excellence, excellence, excellence. Do yourself a favor and BOOK with The art of cleaning and feel free to ask for Dora, She is an absolute gem, the cutest human, and officially the person I want cleaning my home forever. 10/10. Five stars. No notes.

We have only used this cleaning service once but, for the most part, we were satisfied. I was…read moreapproaching my due date and our baby was coming any day now so we decided to have a cleansing service come and do a deep cleaning of our apartment. I started by contacting multiple cleaning services via Yelp (messaged each one) and Golden Shine was by far the friendliest and most informative. They seemed like they actually wanted my business. So we proceeded with booking a day for them to come. The booking process was simple and they recommend making a list of things you want to be handled first, to make sure they get your required places cleaned in case they run out of time. I was also told the cleaners were required to go through a background check, which was comforting. We ended up booking a specific amount of time and set a cut of time so that if the cleaners weren't finished by that time, they would leave and we wouldn't continue to get charged. Well it just so happened that the day our cleaners were scheduled to come, I went into labor. The LAST thing on my mind was the cleaning service, but they were on top of things and called my phone to let us know about what time they would arrive. My husband was able to answer and explained to them what was going on. We still wanted them to come even though the thought of strangers in our place without one of us there was nerve racking. They were so accommodating and were willing to go to the front office of our complex to get a key (that we requested for them). They let themselves in our place to clean, and cleaned away. We got home two days after the cleaning, but it still smelled freshly cleaned and looked great! My only negative comment is that they put two of our cast iron pans in the dishwasher - huge no no! I ended up having to re-season both pans. But I can't blame them, the two pans were sitting out (I had forgotten to put them away before going into labor and didn't remember to tell them not to worry about the pans), so they were just doing their jobs. I would only hope this review will help and the cleaners are explained the cast iron pots should never, ever be put in a dishwasher much less cleaned with soap! Overall, I'd recommend this cleaning service! Just make sure to be specific about things you do/don't want!

I am utterly peeved. I truly believe that this company has their family or friends write fake reviews. Because there is no way this company can have so many reviews & maintain 4 stars, no way. The woman that came to my house, stated her name is Cheese or whatever. She came in with her own supplies & I left her to clean my condo. 3 hours later, my fiancé comes home during his lunch break to escort her out, not able to check her work. I came by the following day & saw that nothing had been cleaned with the exception of the windows. She cleaned my windows for 3 hours?! I complained to Maria regarding Cheese's work: -Bathtub was not clean (I wiped my finger on the bathtub & dust came off, refer to picture) -Bathroom sink was not clean -Kitchen sink was not clean -Cabinets in the hallways were not clean (picture) -Cabinets in kitchen were not clean (picture after 2nd "cleaning") -Kitchen countertops were not clean Cheese came by the following day, not happy that she was back. The worst part was that she came back & did not want to clean some of the items that Maria & I discussed! She did not want to wipe down my granite countertops because they were granite. All she had to do was use a cloth to wipe it down... & after the fact, I still had to clean everything because she did a crap job! A week after, I bought a Swiffer Wet Jet & the towels were black after each use. She never mopped my floor like she had stated she did (picture).

The difference is that, unlike airlines, the additional charges are not made clear upfront. Instead, new "extras" tend to appear gradually after you have already hired them. That lack of transparency and predictability makes the overall experience pretty toxic.
