I'm VERY particular about cleanliness when it comes to pedicures, and I was really impressed with how clean everything was. Nikki did an amazing job, and my Gel-X nails came out so good too! The whole process was quick, smooth, and I was in and out without feeling rushed. Now I'm just excited to see how long my Gel-X lasts, but so far I'm definitely looking forward to coming back! I am extremely disappointed with both the pricing and the quality of my most recent service. When I initially asked which lashes would look best on me, I had not been shown the price menu. The staff recommended YY Volume lashes but did not explain that this choice would result in an additional $15 charge every time I returned for a refill. For my latest appointment, they had failed to enter the date of my previous refill into their computer. Because they did not have the date documented, they charged me the four-week refill price of $75, plus the additional $15 YY-lash fee--a total of $90. Their failure to maintain accurate records should not result in a higher charge to the customer. There is also a significant language barrier at this salon. Most of the staff members with whom I interacted could not clearly explain the services, pricing, or additional charges to me in English. They discussed the charges among themselves, but I was not given a clear total until after the service was completed. This made an already confusing pricing system even more difficult to understand. The pricing structure requires customers to return very frequently to receive a lower refill price. When I contacted other lash salons, I was quoted one refill price without an additional charge simply because the customer has YY lashes. To make matters worse, I was very unhappy with the quality of the lashes this time. The work was poorly done and did not justify the price. Customers should receive a clear explanation of the complete cost before the service begins, and the salon should accurately document appointments instead of placing customers in the most expensive refill category when its own records are incomplete. I wish I was able to write a review of my experience but I wasn't even able to make it into the salon. I drove 40 minutes out to try this salon as I'm a new resident to the IE. I called the salon to let them know I was running a bit late and if it was still okay, they said it was fine but my appt would turn into a walk-in first come first served basis (which is completely understandable). But once I arrived I noticed the parking situation was a bit odd. The salon is part of a two story big apartment building so the available parking around is for residents unless you park on the Main Street. They are located right on a busy Main Street where it would require you to attempt to parallel park with many cars passing by. There's also a tiny parking lot (10-15 car max) around the corner that is shared with multiple other stores. There was no way this could just be it so I called the salon and let them know I've driven in circles for about 15 minutes they said they understood the limited parking situation and if I tried parking by the leasing office. I let them know I did accidentally go in there but assumed it was residential parking since each parking spot had a number on the ground. They said it was fine to park by their by leasing office. So here I am 25+ minutes into looking for parking with the busy Main Street and make my way back to the leasing office where there are a few parking spots and a long walk back to the main corner of the street where the salon is. As I park I run into what seemedseemed to be the security for the apartment complexes driving around his cart and I asked him just to make sure if it was OK for me to park here and he let me know the parking was for residents as I assumed and the leasing office parking had about 4 parking spots that were already taken up. At this point I'm almost an hour into my appt so I call one last time and it goes straight to voicemail so I leave entirely. I wish there was a warning given about their parking for customers to be ready in advance because the location of this salon is extremely poor and it doesnt help that they are right next door to a barbershop. That was fine, but my 4-year-old daughter had my phone, and the technician impatiently motioned and said "the phone" to my child in a very rude, rushed manner. I found this extremely inappropriate. At that point I told her that if she was in such a rush, I didn't want the design anymore. The entire service felt uncomfortable and tense after that. When the builder gel was curing, it was stinging badly, and instead of checking on me professionally, the technician laughed/giggled, which felt dismissive and unkind. At checkout, I was given a free body spray, which honestly felt like an attempt to smooth things over instead of addressing the poor service. Overall, I felt rushed, disrespected, and uncomfortable. I was hooked from the first visit. The highlights - They offer membership which is a great deal - The prices are very reasonable - All of the techs are so nice and do a great job no matter the ask. Disappointing Experience and Poor Customer Service I visited this nail salon on Sunday evening (10/26) with a friend, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. My friend's pedicure was done poorly, especially when it came to basic heel buffing -- which should have been included in the service she paid for. When she raised the issue, the manager was not only unhelpful but also visibly annoyed, making the entire interaction uncomfortable. Then offered to do it again "for free" as a favor but in reality it should have been done correctly to begin with. In my own case, I paid $58 for an upgraded pedicure with regular polish (no gel) and a French tip. I requested a pinkish clear coat for a more natural look, but they refused simply because it wasn't gel. Instead of finding a solution, like a light pink or jelly pink, the manager made the situation unnecessarily uncomfortable and impossible. While my nail tech, Lucy, was kindly searching for a good color, the manager stood nearby insisting they didn't have anything suitable. Lucy eventually found a great shade and started applying it -- but she was painting over the white French tip. When I politely asked her not to go over the white, just the clear part, you would have thought I'd asked for a free pedicure! I repeated myself 4 times -- "Yes, I want this color, but not over the white." The manager grew visibly irritated until she finally gave in and told Lucy to do it my way. Lucy remained positive, professional, and patient throughout, despite the tension. She's the only reason I didn't walk out. To top it all off, even after tipping generously, I was denied a raffle ticket because my total was $58 instead of $60 -- even though I tipped $15, bringing my total to $73 for a regular polish pedicure with a French tip. I was denied the raffle ticket, and honestly, it's not even about the raffle ticket! I don't need anythinggg free -- it was the pettiness that stood out. At that moment, I realized the manager was intentionally making the entire experience difficult and uncomfortable. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. It's a shame because the location is beautiful, and I was genuinely excited to try this place -- but the experience was so disappointing. read more
