I came here for a dip fill and was charged for a fulThere was product on my skin. I asked for a coffin shape and got a weird thick almond shape. Several nails broke very painfully under the fake nail by doing very basic and normal tasks. I had to use nail glue to glue them down. After getting me halfway through the process, the tech said it wasn't possible and could only do a dip French dip with a line that was crooked. You've seen this video! I asked what kind of powder he was using gel or acrylic? He kept saying powder, it's powder. The only part of my services they understood was how to process my payment. I won't be back. Another shop in Vero says and does the same annoying thing it's just powder. They like the dip technique even though they advertise they can do ombré and acrylic they don't want to do it. Headed to palm beach gardens for a quality mani/pedi. It was for a wedding as I'm usually pretty mellow, but when you show pictures and tell them what you want at two different salons you know it's all in the family! Drive south my friends! I have been to Lux nails for gel manicure about 4 times last few months. I didn't have a favorite and wanted to try their staff to find best one for me. I found a wide variance in quality of manicure and paid between $35 to $45 plus a tip, each time a different price. Additionally, last time I went one of the male manicurists was quite negligent with my hands while clipping dead skin away with a really sharp pointed tool as he nicked the skin. He also sanded a small piece of skin off below my thumb nail that was painful for 2 or 3 days. Then the polish came off half the nail on 2 fingers. I had to return within less than a week to have them corrected. I will not return. read more

Great gel pedicure from Kim. Salon is exceptionally clean down to the nail polish bottles which are wiped down. I am just visiting in Vero Beach but it is a great place. I highly recommend it. Whenever I get a chance to get my nails done I always go to Lux. This specific time I went on a Thursday. Got there, no wait and started getting my nails done immediately. I believe the name of the girl that did them was Holly. I got healthy nail dip in a pink color. Needless to say I was very happy when I left, the first time. 2 days after I left I started to see cracking on my nails (Pic below). And by day 3 one of my tips already popped off. I went in that Monday to get it fixed. The first lady I spoke to was very nice about the situation started fixing the broken tip. She got up, a guy came and asked what happened; I explained. Then he moved me to a different chair, told me it was going to be a while.. to fix one nail? Anyways, he moved me to a different chair again. I let them know I most likely will not be back after this. As the guy does my one nail, I can obviously tell I am being a burden coming in and showing them flaws in my nails. He fixes my one tip but doesn't do anything about the cracking or chipped top coat of the other nails. As he finishes he tells me "you can go now". As I did. And will not return. My experience started off ok and then went south fast. Took my daughter for a girls day and had an apt for 12. They were very busy and we waited an hr at the pedi station. No big deal. My daughter was done quickly. (Although I was charged $30 for a pedicure for a 6 yo and 25 for the manicure. I've never paid more than like $10 for her mani pedi) My pedi was done and it came out great. While I was waiting, I told two different people what I wanted for my nails. The woman who did my pedi and the man (he might have been a manager or something?) who did my daughters nails. Both said it could be done. (Purple and white ombre and infinity heart on my ring finger. I told them I was getting married and was there for a trial.) The lady who did my acrylic did a good job getting the acrylic to the cuticle, but then butchered the shape. Another women came over and asked what design I wanted, when I showed her she said the ombre needed to be done with the acrylic. I explained I showed two people and both said it could be done and the women who did them knew what I wanted and did them like this. She apologized then walked away to do someone else. A different man came over and asked what I wanted (now the 4th person) and I said just do them white with the infinity heart in gold metalic and then a line on the other ring finger. He said ok. A different guy came over and started painting them with the gel white, it was probably old because it was coming out very clumpy. He stopped after 2 fingers closed it, stood up, then sat down and finished. (So obviously he could tell it was coming out terrible.) Had to have a different person clean them up at the end because there was paint all over my fingers. This place has the best reviews in town, and this experience was awful. As a bride excited to have a trial run of my nails, I am very disappointed. 3 hrs, 4 people and $130 later, this was the worst experience. The ONLY reason it gets 2 stars is because my daughter was happy and my pedi came out good. They did offer to fix them with a master stylist, so I will happily change the rating and call it a bad day if that goes well. So we'll see. read more

I had a bad experience there today . It was my first time going to this Lux nails . The woman did not clean my cuticles with the pedicure. She was very sloppy . She didn't file my nails to make them even She didn't know what she was doing . I tried my best not to say anything . Then i wanted a gel manicure and things got worse . A young guy just started to apply the gel to my nails without cleaning my nails! I was shocked, I had to tell the mgr then it was switched to a lady who i think is the manager . This is very bad because it is not cheap . I am very disappointed in this Lux salon at Vero bch . May be there are better technicians there but I didn't have a competent one, I hope they will train the older woman and the young guy that they have doing nails. So I came in for a gel manicure and after stating 3 or 4 times I wanted gel polish I was met with a technician with dip powder. I never had it before so I figured maybe it was because they were out of the color I wanted and dip was an alternative. WRONG. I got the old bait and switch. So I ended up paying $20 extra bucks for services I didn't want and didn't want to fight it cause I had places to be. If felt like I ordered a salad but was given a steak and still had to pay! So I give them 2 stars for dishonest business practices, but damn my nails do look good. Bring cash ladies so you don't get screwed into paying for something you didn't ask for. I have gotten a number of pedicures at this nail bar. I have never been disappointed in the quality of the pedicures, however it seems it's all in timing on how quickly you can be serviced. They have a habit of filling the water basin and putting you in a chair where you may be waiting for 25+ minutes for a technician. I have also been told upon arrival it's a 15 minute wait, and 30+ minutes later opted to leave. AND when I made an appointment for myself and a friend so we wouldn't have to wait, while they promptly seated us with our feet in the water basins, only one technician came over to start on my friend, while I sat unattended for 20 minutes until another technician became available. If an appt is made for 2 people, 2 technicians should be scheduled and reserved for that appt. They try to squeeze in the walk-ins between appts, but they need to better calculate if they can accommodate that based on the staff available and the length of time it takes for the pedicures. I have seen other customers get up out of the massage chairs and opt to leave after sitting for over 30 minutes without any service. read more

I tried this nail salon out today with my mom after being disappointed several times by the place we usually go. First, the place is immaculate. Everything is clean and beautiful. We had an appointment (which I recommend) for 2 pedicures and 2 manicures. My pedicure was wonderful and I got the cheapest one they offer! The lady that did mine was wonderful and made sure I was happy before I left. My nails are gorgeous! The only thing that I'll do differently next time is double check the gel polish before I leave because part of the glitter polish got on my finger and when it hardened changed the shape of my nail. Also, I'd have her go over the glitter nail a couple more times to give it a fuller coverage. I didn't mark down stars on this because I should have said something before I left. I used to like this place I don't know what happened. The last time I went there the nail tech was really nice and I had a good conversation but my nails came out looking terrible. They look like little blobs on my fingers, and when I told them, I did not like it at all, all they did, was run some nail polish remover around the edges, which did not fix the fact that my nails look like blobs with way too much nail polish and way too much acrylic I will never go here again not ever because I could've done better than that way better than that and I don't even know how to do nails. I don't reward myself with very much because I'm a first time mom and it's not easy when you don't make a whole lot but on a rare occasion you want to treat yourself to something nice and the one time you do you leave and you feel so upset you start crying on the way our and then you sit in the parking lot and cry because it looks that bad. And whatever having to pushing my cuticles back or trimming my cuticles, which never even happened at all or what happened to putting some nail oil on my overly dry cuticles after it's done is that some thing of the past now it's like they just do the bare minimum read more
